A very fine innings by Ken Rutherford. A wonderful player to watch. His overall test match figures don't do justice to his talent, I think.

Yeah he looked great at times, and played some big innings for NZ. Unfortunately his consistency let him down.

Considered one of the most boring test series ever played in NZ. Was real turgid stuff...

The series was a snorefest. Hadlee was out injured, and the pitches were all low and slow roads.
