  • Can you take a metal detector on a plane?
To take your detectors when flying you will need to remove the battery from the detector where possible and take it with you as carry-on luggage. This includes wireless headphones with internal batteries.

Great subject, do the Mah limit rules on battery transport only relate to Lithium-Ion or do the older metal detectors (pre-lithium-Ion) apply to all metal detectors?

I believe it’s all 100WH batteries. It would be best to check with the CASA or the airline to make sure. As far as I know you can take two 100Wh batteries in your carry on. Hope this helps? I hope that health is treating you ok?
