If we give too much emotion we become vulnerable and feel as if we are los8ng control of a situation. We like to feel in control even if it isn't logical or possible. It opens up room for more unpredictabilities.
I was laughing to myself when she said that ISTJ's are more sensitive than what is shown...lol....I was tickled actually. NO one knows that about me...lol.
ppl can tell i’m estp my bf is istj I could tell he was more sensitive then he let off as soon as he started mentioning marriage before I decided if I wanted to exclusively date 😆
I'm pretty lazy, but when I get going I can go for hours. sometimes I go an entire day without eating because I'm such in a working zone, and don't feel hungry at all
My roommate's an istj. When I first met him I thought he was like those dudes in anime who never show emotion and turn out to have a really bad past but when I got to know him, he turned out to be the prankster who dyed the teacher's hair neon pink. Like,... he's a crackhead, alright? He's not boring at all. He was at first but then we became friends and, I did not expect him to be that way. I was like who the f is you you his twin bro sumthin cause you definitely not him. He's the complete opposite of what he looks like. One day some dude said that he was trash, his reply was, "At least I have a brain which, by the way, you don't."
Wow this is so accurate, especially towards the end when you were addressing playfulness and the past. My mom is an ISTJ, and she loves anything having to do with history, old-fashioned things (sewing, cooking, old barns, gardening) travel, etc. Those things bring out her light-hearted side and she can be surprisingly adventurous.
I am an an INFP (ADHD) married (42+ years) to an ISTJ (ASD). He keeps me on track, sometimes quite candidly, and I help him try new things, sometimes by tying a rope around him and pulling him hard! Arguments and romance are two areas in which we really had to learn communication skills. ISTJs have thought about what they see as a logical conclusion and I have thought about all the ways an argument can go, but usually with feelings and not logic. Even though ISTJs can be romantic, it is nowhere near the romantic interludes that an INFP prefers. Unfortunately, if an ISTJ doesn't think it is necessary, it really takes a lot of effort to convince them why it IS necessary. Even after all those years of marriage, I am still learning new things! Thank you for your insights.
I'm a istj female and I can agree with the emotion. Someone will hurt me with their words and I won't tell anyone. However I'll dwell on what they said forever. My out side shell looks like nothing happened. I'm one of those people who truly believes you can die of a broken heart. I've felt my heart hurt from pain from words because I push the feelings inside. I've cried in public before. when that happens I'm more upset with the fact that my shell broke than what actually made me cry in the first place. I'll do all I can to try to stop the crying or for anyone to see me. The kid model air plane thing is because a lot of us istj people like history. we'll normally pick a small subject and get really informed on it. Mine is WWII. 🤷 Partially the European campaign not so much the US vs. japan.
It's always fascinating to hear from other ISTJ females! I love history as well, love watching those documentaries! What you said about crying, I wrote a comment about too. Was not allowed to show weakness in my family, so I would go cry somewhere alone. Had to be strong! Also ended up in a government job. And what you said about being heartbroken...still waters run deep. Hold it in as long as you can until the dam breaks.☺️💕
It strikes me as funny and telling that the comments here are so well written. There are easily readable sentences that are brief, to the point and correctly punctuated. These are obvious characteristics of an ISTJ. I actually love punctuation, I know that sounds weird.
ISTJ here, all true what you said. Grew up in a home where I had to fend for myself, be the strong one who thought things through when things became unstable and unstructured. Yes definitely have a soft spot in my tertiary. Many time I hold off on my feelings until I can be alone and process them. I always did that as a child. I was very fearful of being punished for showing weakness, soo I would go to my room and cry it out. I also love to reminisce over things that brought me joy as a child, I seek comfort, watch movies or shows from childhood, look at animal videos, documentaries, and doing arts and crafts. Personality development has helped me so much in being better at connecting with people on a deeper level and understanding myself and the impact my childhood had on me. Thanks for this video, you two are spot on!☺️💗
Thanks for the comment and feedback. I would be interested in your perspective on this epsiode talking about ISTJ Careers: ruclips.net/video/GQwp6XY27jw/видео.html ~ Joel
My best friend is ISTJ. You explained her really well. She can be hard and soft at the same time. She is a 3rd grade teacher. She is very strict but loving to her students. Im an INFP. How are we even friends??? Takes a lot of patience. We have learned a lot from each other.
Same. One of my good friends is an ISTJ and I have no idea how we've been friends for long. LOL We are VERY different on how we see things, especially from the emotional side.
I was tested to be an ISTJ. I agreed with what this video described most of the traits in ISTJ. I have most of it but it did get me in some kind of problems with relating with some people. I still do not like fake people and people who take advantage of others. But time and experience do reshape people. I realise the world become different and more fragmented ideal wise. Hence, It is more difficult to manage one's status quo. What left of the state of security and stability on the past has been eroded away. We are to adapt and to be more creative. Learning to me is now an ongoing lifelong pursuit, as new things are appearing at faster rate. But I still like to maintain structure to things and I am a firm believer in maintaining a foundation to things and processes. It is vital to maintain visual or referenced mindset to things, so we can know where we are at, when we review our state of existence and integrity from time to time.
@@juliemeibaum8506A 2 year old question. By now, pride used to be a thing in my young days, and I feel dignity is more important. Never ever let anyone put you down because it is an encroachment to one's wellbeing and self-worth.
I‘m an INFJ, and a close business partner i have to work with is what i guessed to be an ISTJ. On looking up that type i‘ve realized that i think it might be right about him. I was intrigued from the very beginning by his aura of seriousness, lawfulness and high standard, and somehow we clicked right in our first meeting, where he introduced me to the procedures of his side of the business. I tend to balance people out. In his case, i showed my silly side, without knowing why i acted like that in front of a higher authority (he works for the government). He sat stone-faced during that meeting with me, showing no emotion, not reacting to my bonding with him. He just explained my job. But in the end of the day i realized that he found me funny. Over the course of time i feel his fondness for me through his support. Whenever i have a problem, he finds a solution to fix it. Very professional. I like that. It’s a very different way of showing that someone likes you. I don’t know how he would be in private though. But for work, this is the perfect relationship to have.
ISTJ here. Sometimes I say things and make people cry but I really don't mean to. It's shocking how something that I think is perfectly reasonable and true could be taken so personally. I'm really not trying to be mean. Advice, anyone?
OMGoodness...YES! My husband is exactly the ISTJ personality right down to the "playful" boyish personality type...he has a Teddy Bear that he pretends is our child (we are older, third marriage, grown children kind of couple). We have great fun placing "Teddy" into various parenting scenarios and it's super fun to find the bear outside the front door when I come home with a bottle of honey and a backpack cause he's "running away". Finding little misspelled and scribbled notes from Teddy are fun as well. But, in the adult world, he is a serious and dedicated chef!!! His fabulously unique personality is a bit complicated by Asberger's, so the sense of humor...not so much! I am a tried and true ENFJ and a dementia specialist, so, everything you said about ENFJ's is SPOT on!!! My "3 year old" is absolutely killing my self-confidence...HELP!
So you're an enfj and your husband an istj? My bf is istj and I'm entp. Our relationship going on 8 years. But sometimes I'm feel boring when talk with phone/whats up. But I love him because he discipline, kind and have stable emotions.
Wow you must being out the best in him for sure. I'm an infj and my istj husband is a stick in the mud. I'm beginning to think that the double introversion is a problem for us. I think Istjs really need an extroverted match in order to be great in a relationship. I see his olayfulnside. He jokes a lot. But he doesn't let anyone in. But I'm glad you're having fun! Gives me hope. 💛
My bf is an ISTJ. Similarly, we also have stuffed toy kids😃 We’re in long distance and last Christmas I bought him this little cute rounded Tabby cat plushie. He also sent me this adorable Teddy. From then on, we made them like our kids and we would snuggle with them whenever we’re watching TV together on video chat 😭
We don't always get it all done. But we can identify and prioritize what we can do. Like "I'll get A B and C done, but I won't get to D and E." Sometimes we might be wrong and actually manage to finish a little more than we assumed.
I really like your descriptive words around the Meyers Briggs processes. My dad (and a lifelong friend) is an ISTJ and you were spot on in explaining how he seems to be wired, down to the playfulness. As an INFP myself, his effectiveness always throws me but I appreciate it. Thanks for all the understanding!
40 years ago I took the 300 questions test and came out a INTJ. I never did anything with that. Recently I took your short test and came out ISTJ. I think that’s spot on. At this time I’m starting to process complex trauma. A lot of these parts are scrambled. I’m trying to organize emerging parts that have been repressed and be kind to myself where I have been injured. You have been helpful in this process. TY! The hardest thing for me now is when I make a choice that seems to sabotage my values. (Think of diet, money, time. ) Am I being kind or making excuses? Is my goal too idealistic or do I lack discipline?
As I listen to this, I'm thinking that there is a good possibility that ISTJ is my man's personality type. A lot of what y'all were saying describes him to a "T" and the puzzle that he's been to me in our almost 2 years together makes more sense to me now. He's extremely responsible, he's NEVER late with his financial obligations, EVER. He's very dutiful with his parents and sends money every month to them and he's VERY goal oriented. On the flip side, he CAN come across as insensitive and "not romantic" to my ENFP personality type! Ain't we an interesting match, LOL! But we WORK. It's weird. But his organization skills, money management skills and dutifulness really do work with my people loving, interpersonal and communication skills. If we need pragmatism, organization and laser focus on something, he does it. If we need communication and interpersonal skills, I do it.
I'm an ISTJ and people don't like making friends with me due to my insensitivity, I actually got touched easily why I help and donate a lot to those in need, but funny is that, I'm actually proud that people don't like me 😂 I'd rather spend time with my self, kids and husband than wasting my time on other people....
As an istj I always find the idea that I'm 'traditional' is misleading. I'm actually super progressive in most of my views. So actually, it's not that I'm conservative and traditional, unable to go against the grain, but rather that I work best when there is a system in place that works in which I can function, also it is that I base my beliefs and actions on principles that I have understood and accepted, and then follow my moral code without variation. If this moral code is not aligned with the traditional society I am in, which for me it isn't, then I wouldn't be called traditional, but I understand what is meant by this label. I thought this might help some others to read this clarification.
I think the context is less political and more metaphorical. It's more like what you're saying, like a "functional" system in place and working towards making it better. Us ISTJ's are multilevel and can be progressive AND traditional ;) I say this as an ISTJ woman who was a mechanic in the military for 10 years and is now a social worker , LOL!
I have huge respect for structure and processes, but I never assume what's already in existence is best - I'm always looking for opportunities to improve ir.
I agree. It's more about morals for me. Whatever track I find myself following, I just need to view it like the one above all others. It's not that I follow things that already are set and easy. I follow what I find to be worth it. Morals and viewpoints have major sway over me, but they can surely change over time.
As an intj, I can relate to the whole being more sensitive than I let on. My best friend is an istj, so we both are very selective about who we share our feelings with, and it’s turned into this inseparable bond. She is literally the only person I trust completely.
I am an ISTJ. The way that I am in the serious work world is very different than the way I am when I relax. I have learned it is important to embrace my more sensitive side and sing with a puppet to balance my serious side with child like fun.
Personally, I have to admit that I can be sensitive to negative feedback (it depends on *how* the feedback is presented to me) or the fear of letting someone become too close to me. There's a sense of 'losing control' if I let my emotions show infront of others. So, most of the time it's bottled up and then simply move on to what needs to be done next. I'm the type who's typically lazy at home. Though, I can go into a cleaning and organizing frenzy at times. Once I start, I won't stop till it's done or the day has ended.
Your on the ball there Antonia re (the secret) you talked about. There certainly is a lot of societal, peer group and cultural influence to hide feelings but that doesn't stop them. I can be quite sensitive to an off handed comment which most seem to brush aside but can actually be quite heart hurtful. And Joel I agree there is absolutely a playfulness to my character, nothing beats playing with my boys.
I've taken the MBTI test twice and yours 2 times. I get ESTJ and ISTJ. Depends on the test. Im sentimental and strong but have one hell of a temper and am pretty short fused yet can be sensitive even though I hate to admit that. People come to me for advice on everything. I don't date because most men are too weak and Id rather be solo than have to wear than wear the pants because that's what men should do. I nurture my family and take responsibilities very seriously especially with finances. Anyone's opinions whether Estj or Istj would be appreciated.
This is highly accurate. Well done. Except that you could call a tertiary and quartinerty function combination sensitive, but that instantaneously implies a negative connation. I don't have emotional sensitivity, I'm very humble and can admit fault very easily, I would call it emotional purity. Which is practically, and almost inexplicably unrivaled to anyone else I know. Introverted functions to extroverted functions can be thought of as a dichotomy of sensitivity and purity, to insensitivity and impurity. It's good to be insensitive and impure in certain ways, at certain times, but it's almost great to be sensitive. Like with the addressing the needs of a emotionally sensitive and developing child. I help keep my young nieces feeling calm, well taken care of and loved, when I watch them, as opposed to my Fe using mother, their grandmother, and sister, their mom. When they're watching them, they fight with each other in a battle of wills, and emotional and personal attacks are flying. The kids act worse and crazy even when in their presence before my mom or sister have started saying mean and angry things to them because they emotionally remember and know where and who abuses them emotionally, so they're automatically more on the edge, and ready to fight and scream, than they are with me. Not that, I'm a complete pushover, and extremely, passive. Not at all. I'm extremely strict and domineering with them, when I need to be, but I'm fair and mature about it. I assert my power, in a kind way without access. I don't scream, yell or insult. I simply and calmly, tell them the consequences that they'll face for disobeying and give them a chance to choice to do what's right and listen first. Then, if it's an important issue, and they still aren'y listening. I calmly pick them up, and carry them outside for a walk. And I walk around carrying them until they calm down and agree to listen.
Good video. Actually, I have now ended up being an ISTJ (borderline INTJ). I have been taking 4 different tests and ended up with the same result. A few years ago, I was an INFJ. How can I change so much in a few years?
+Andreas Geocacher Hesselberg I also got INTJ first and ISTJ after that. Though, my results probably vary because I first took the test in English (studied since childhood, I'm now 24) and then in Finnish (my mother tongue). Both times my intuition/sensing was close to 50-50, so I might also be kinda borderline...
You have a high Fi and Ne, but because of some MBTI bias that somehow all S are less creative, people don't want to be an S. nope everyone has concretion and abstraction. The difference is between Ni/Se and Ne/Si.
the secret you were talking about for them? that's their repressed Extraverted Intuition; and i notice that must of the secrets for the types you mention lay in their tertiary, or ten year old process. i also think as an enfp it was quite good for you to mention that repressed side of the istj, as they are our duals. thanks for the vids :)
Hey! Love your content- can you make a video on how to differentiate between an intj and istj? I come up as an intj on 99% of tests, but I'm always pretty balance with s and n .....
The cognitive functions along with other complexities is who we all are. Physcology is very complex. Glad they built on it. Either you lead with introverted sensing or introverted intuition for those 2.
In the past I’ve consistently tested as an ENTJ. Recently I took the genius assessment test and tested as an Istj so now I’m a little confused. There were parts of this that resonated with me but idk how to feel now 😂
Curious. I've been typing as an ISTJ after thinking I was an INTP this whole time. I think my time in the military has instilled upon me the ISTJ's sense of duty.
Canderous92A10 well an INTP is Ti Ne Si Fe As you get older you get better at the later functions like Si and Fe. That is how a type could "change". You can't change your actual type though.
You might on to something. Apparently, the environment where you test itself can impact the end result of the MBTI. Plus, disillusionment hit me my last three years in the army. I actually tested as an INTP about a year ago in a psychology class, a year and a half removed from the army. Tested again a few months later online, ISTJ. Looked up their characteristics, and found INTP describes me better. Good at math, majoring in software engineering, and I'm apparently pissing off my programming instructor for "breaking the mold" on how I'm supposed to be programming in C.
It seems the effective area for growth is that - applying that practical sense (the extraverted thinking) to your own practices and conduct in relations with others. When I process something into my way of doing things, the process is often emotional to start with. The Si is my foundation of psychological and physical security, and what inspires me to improve it in my own conduct (when I don't have to worry about other people) is to take in those elements that do me the least amount of harm and align with my personal sense of self and preferences (Fi). This has created problems in different places, especially work, because my style of doing things is deeply personalized and value-laden. I think what would benefit me is striving for objectivity in my actions- I am a cog in a working machine and must develop practices that are harmonious with the surrounding structure. As I do so I become a more useful human being for others, which is also a great personal value. What is essential is allowing people to structure my actions so that I can be valuable to them, without becoming too sensitive and worrying that this will destroy my own inner harmony. If I could modify my expectations, I would be able to see that the personal change that is necessary for being part of a team is not an attack on my way of life, but rather a professional obligation and my means for becoming a useful person in the world.
My bf is istj and I'm entp. Our relationship going on 8 years. But sometimes I'm feel boring when talk with phone/whats up. But I love him because he discipline, kind and have stable emotions. What happen if I and my bf continue this relationship ?
I 1000% agree that ISTJ’s are very sensitive so much so that it caught me off guard. Being a INTP I thought initially that I found my emotional reserve equal (not at the time know what her Myers Briggs was). But oh boy how different are we lol
Ruth Joseph Well tbh I think the test is not really a good way to find out. I kept getting INTJ, INTP, ISTJ etc.. Then I read about the functions which imo is the best way to determine what type you are.
Piyo San I did that also and I would have said ISFJ, but my sister is an ISFJ and we are nothing alike! So, I am 28 and I think it's because I am still figuring myself out. I still at time tried to please people. I believe when I am my true self, not giving a dang what other people think about me, I am an INTJ all have been. When I go out my way to please people, there is this ISFJ side I use because I to get along with everyone and when I am operating as an ISFJ people think I am sweet and can take advantage of me. When I am my Extraverted self I can make friends quickly, that never last because my INTJ true self comes out and want to have meaningful conversations, I am always bettering myself. I love to read, I am constantly learning! When I do want to learn about something, I will study it in depth to the point I am practically an expert. So, I am moving away from people pleasing and wanting to be liked. My true self don't care and I am becoming ok with that people don't understand me and hate what they don't understand.
so im quite sure ima need to take the test a few more times mainly cuz many of the questions were situational but i got ISTJ the first time and u 2 make a lot of sense about structure and systems i like to optimize things after i learn them and i kinda enjoy every part of that process
I can't speak for everyone but I personally become very anxious when things are "up in the air" or there's a pressing problem I have to put aside/can't attend to at that moment. same goes for going into something without a plan. I put a LOT of stock in following through on my responsibilities/duties and find it soul-crushingly disappointing when others don't do the same. I'm almost definitely my own worst critic. maybe that'll help?
I’m so confused tho why would an istj have lots of sex intimacy with you in the beginning? Then take it away slowly then forever? I’m assuming this is to control you and protect themselves? Which causes them to loose there’s soulmate you can’t control everything
Do you find that male and female commonly make a big difference in the way each personality type acts etc. As in more extreme or less extreme or more developed, less developed etc?
I'm an INFJ, but one of my very best friends is an ISTJ. I don't know why, but we often miscommunicate. We're like brothers, but we do have communications issues quite a bit. How do I communicate effectively with my friend? I'm intuitive and a feeler. My friend is a sensor and a thinker; so, how do I effectively communicate with my friend?
INFJ will be more flaky and give into moods/"feelings". Like they know what they should do but sometime will not do it because they don't feel like it, even if they know that action is the best logical response.
I'm an infj and my husband is an istj and other than being introverted and liking peace and quiet, we are not alike at all. Istjs are straight laced and distant. And even though they have that softer side it seems like it's their life's mission to suppress it. Infjs are more open, we are romantics. We want to feel and will open ourselves up to the right person. Istjs are closed. I love my husband. But even he marvels at the fact that we are together. Infjs are too eclectic for istj's vanilla soul.
INFJ(Ni, Fe, Ti, Se); ISTJ(Si, Te, Fi, Ne) completely different cognitive functions so getting them confused with one another should not be easy as they are very very different, also INFJ is the rarest and ISTJ is a common type I really dont get where the confusion would come from 🤔
@@natashanorris650 we would understand eatchother better. Extroverts have too much energy and i cant handle that. Wouldnt you want an extrovert as a partner if you were single?
So - assuming the online tests which superdave thinks are total crap (which now I am wondering myself) - I am and ENFP and my wife is an ISTJ. We learned early on that there are some communication things we have to keep ourselves conscious of. Some day I would like to get properly tested as I often feel out of place on the Facebook ENFP group. I wonder how much upbringing, age, personal experience affects things, etc...Thank you for being honest about the fact your selling something.
sorry, where did you get the premium content on your website? is it like the two of yours research or is it other peoples theories, is it sourced? could I find it on the socionics website for free? lots of scammers out there today with the bad economy im sure you understand. i think the videos are great btw. That question at the end is good marketing and different than what everyone else does. younger people dont really pay for anything these days but older people are into MBTI so i bet youre getting some bites.
cor Thanks for the question. It's hard to answer fully on a RUclips comment... and I'm still going to try. Most of what we teach we learned through a combination of self-study (over the past 15 years), working with models and frameworks of personal development, coaching and over 5 years of live profiling people having to determine their personality type and explain it to them. So it's really a blend of information. And you are right - young people don't pay for information. But people will pay for advice. Information is free. You can find a lot of Myers-Briggs information online for free. It is really great information and you can learn the system by doing your own research. A lot of people do. Our work centers around using the system (and blending with other systems) to help people grow into the best version of themselves. So... having said all that... don't worry about buying anything from us right now. Just join in the community and access our free articles on the website (www.PersonalityHacker.com) or join the conversations on Facebook (www.Facebook.com/PersonalityHacker)... and finally - the best place to really hear some of this stuff in depth is to subscribe to our podcast (itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/personality-hacker-podcast/id793330058?mt=2). Thanks again cor for the questions. Hope to see you more as a part of the Personality Hacker community.
I just got introduced to this MB type character stuff and the level headed part of me (the biggest part) thought is was a load of nonsense. But I did the test, found myself to be "ISTJ positive" and it kind of checks out! Weird... Now to find someone who can put up with me. Any smart, somewhat level headed and affectionate women looking for a 37yo single ISTJ man? Two totally awesome teenage daughters are included in the offer. Pfff.... That sales pitch sounds evens worse than the my made up term "ISTJ positive", but take that as you will.

Hi to a dude from 7 year's ago
Secret about ISTJs: they are going to destroy you in an argument but they'll cry about it when they get home
istj's cry??! 🤔
Nope
optikleriunutmusum not really
More like destroy you in an argument then cry about it 5 years later on an acid trip
so true!!

I'm an ISTJ who learned not to give a shit about most things. It helped alot!
My roommate's an istj. When I first met him I thought he was like those dudes in anime who never show emotion and turn out to have a really bad past but when I got to know him, he turned out to be the prankster who dyed the teacher's hair neon pink.
Thanks KimPossible for the feedback and for watching. Hope to see you around the Personality Hacker community.

I'm creative for an ISTJ. Does that contradict me...Yes.

It strikes me as funny and telling that the comments here are so well written. There are easily readable sentences that are brief, to the point and correctly punctuated. These are obvious characteristics of an ISTJ. I actually love punctuation, I know that sounds weird.
So true😂
Yeah me too, but I feel weird when I use it with people because I feel like they are going to think I’m boring.
If I have an ISTJ child, I'm gonna name it "Simple_worker_drone_number_12399490".
Hahaha. Nice. :-)
+Mitja Kocjancic Heheh awesome. It would be funny if my parents called me that.
You made me actual lol. We were all thinkin it
Made my day!
Wow! she hit right on the spot when she speaks on relationship difficulties being a ISTJ
dang wish you would have timestamps istj video so dry and boring but so want to hear about it since my bf is an ISTJ .. i’m estp
I would be interested in your perspective on this epsiode talking about ISTJ Careers: ruclips.net/video/GQwp6XY27jw/видео.html

You described my husband, he is the most industrious person ever and a softie but no one really knows ☺️
What about your pride. Does it get in the way of relationships?
Every time I took the test, ISTJ-T is what comes up. Though, knowing myself. I relate more to INFPs; to that, me being a hermit basically.
Love the running away bear.
ISTJ in DA House!!!
+cafeta High five BROTHER! (My like to you was my hand now its your turn lolololol) Thats the hi 5 of youtube.
Diet , money , time ....uff spot on topics for me as well - istj
My husband is an ISTJ. So this is really helpful for me.
Matthew Hanson they even said "not in a political sense"
M H I agree. I feel like my "tradition"!is the scientific community and academia.
She is literally the only person I trust completely.
thanks! Love this video! I thought we didn't really exist.
LOL! right?
I am INTJ, but I retake this test and shows that I am also ISTJ....
Same...
Michael Mcdonald Thanks for commenting. Sounds like your boys have an awesome dad.
Excellent.

ISTJ-The Walking Checklist Type.
By the way I'm a Taurus (April-May) Earth Sign. Planet:Venus. Four Temperaments:Melancholic.
My checklist is full of names. Sometimes I will cross off a few.
I love my ISTJ ---- INFJ here. my ISTJ is my mental and soul's refuge. hehe. Just the mere presence -- makes me absorb that "structureness" ufff
And I walk around carrying them until they calm down and agree to listen.
zmoney(istj) Thanks for the comment and for watching the video.
Sounds like patience and compassion for children?
ISTJ master race!
I need proof first tho.
@@Kahrdis you're living in OUR world.

Good video. Actually, I have now ended up being an ISTJ (borderline INTJ). I have been taking 4 different tests and ended up with the same result. A few years ago, I was an INFJ. How can I change so much in a few years?
Haha, no... I'm 38.
***** I think you have a point.
ENFP trying to understand her ISTJ bf more 🥰💜
thank you for this video 💜
I would love some information from you guys about how ENFPs and INTJs relationships play out.
5:55 istj secrets
the secret you were talking about for them? that's their repressed Extraverted Intuition; and i notice that must of the secrets for the types you mention lay in their tertiary, or ten year old process. i also think as an enfp it was quite good for you to mention that repressed side of the istj, as they are our duals. thanks for the vids :)
Cool. Thanks for the comment. You have the pattern nailed.
Although - Extraverted Intuition is the ISTJ 3-yr-old. Just wanted to be clear for others reading this so they aren't confused.
Joel Mark Witt
right lol, sorry. i actually did have a bit of trouble wording that, which is not normal for me XD
yup. I too noticed that. Tertiary and inferior. And occassionally a combination of Parent and inferior if it is an expressive function such as Fe.
There were parts of this that resonated with me but idk how to feel now 😂
3:25 "people machines" HA! relatable.
I am a female ISTJ.
Im between ESTJ and ISTJ
Curious. I've been typing as an ISTJ after thinking I was an INTP this whole time. I think my time in the military has instilled upon me the ISTJ's sense of duty.
+Canderous92A10 no INTP would do military. if they did they would run like hell.
Maybe, but it's also suggested our types change with time. Which is probably why I eventually called it quits.
Canderous92A10 well an INTP is
Ti Ne Si Fe
As you get older you get better at the later functions like Si and Fe.
This is so me thanks for this great video i teared watching this you guys hitted me on the senstive spot
If I could modify my expectations, I would be able to see that the personal change that is necessary for being part of a team is not an attack on my way of life, but rather a professional obligation and my means for becoming a useful person in the world.
as an istj, it burns me out.

Well, I'd been recognized as one of the most productive at work for 3 consecutive years now.
I 1000% agree that ISTJ’s are very sensitive so much so that it caught me off guard. Being a INTP I thought initially that I found my emotional reserve equal (not at the time know what her Myers Briggs was). But oh boy how different are we lol
God I am confused. Each time I take this test it gives me something different. ISFJ, ISTJ, INTJ..... which one is it?
Ruth Joseph look on the bright side, at least you know your intoverted

I'm an ISTJ but I have alot of INFJ personality too.
I am an ISTJ and my name is Emily which means industrious!
I'm the laziest istj in the world. Pleasure loving, comfort seeking. I think I'll have to retake that test.....
Yeah, I can see that I'm a bit slow, conservative, and old fashioned. Very true. 🤔
so im quite sure ima need to take the test a few more times
mainly cuz many of the questions were situational
but i got ISTJ the first time and u 2 make a lot of sense about structure and systems
i like to optimize things after i learn them and i kinda enjoy every part of that process
I am a hard lined ISTJ.
I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
If I don't into traditions, than what functions maybe I use more? Fi, Ne?(Who didn't understand, in what I don't believe, I am ISTJ)
I think this type is the hardest for me to get along with but I'm trying to understand them more. Any tips on how to relate to them? I'm a IXFJ.
@@justacleverruse would you say that it's fear that drives you to take care of responsibilities?
I’m so confused tho why would an istj have lots of sex intimacy with you in the beginning? Then take it away slowly then forever? I’m assuming this is to control you and protect themselves? Which causes them to loose there’s soulmate you can’t control everything

i have loved a girl then i have found out that she is ISTJ its really hard to communicate love to her lol
Believe me she loves you to the moon and back, is very loyal and smart, but would never do all those lovey dovey things
I have the same problem with my INTJ boyfriend. I am starting to realize he shows his love more indirectly.
Do you find that male and female commonly make a big difference in the way each personality type acts etc. As in more extreme or less extreme or more developed, less developed etc?
I can just say-as an ISTJ-AMEN!!! Nailed me!!!
Don't rely on your feelings, just use logic.
INFJ's and ISTJ's are so similar; i almost find it hard to differentiate between these two types
INFJ(Ni, Fe, Ti, Se); ISTJ(Si, Te, Fi, Ne) completely different cognitive functions so getting them confused with one another should not be easy as they are very very different, also INFJ is the rarest and ISTJ is a common type I really dont get where the confusion would come from 🤔
I’m an ISTJ but I’m not a typical one but I’m still one 😂😂😂
Thats because you are a girl, and girls have girly side of them that makes them less of istj
what if the istj got so many ideas and skills(jobs) and sport?
The hubby is an ISTJ and as an ENFP he makes me crazy- and not in a good way most of the time.

did you get all the premium content from the internet? or did you write it?
Thanks for the question. But I'm not sure what you are asking?
sorry, where did you get the premium content on your website? is it like the two of yours research or is it other peoples theories, is it sourced? could I find it on the socionics website for free? lots of scammers out there today with the bad economy im sure you understand. i think the videos are great btw.
