That was a great blizzard. Happy memories of going down hill on black plastic bags..walking in the middle of the roads. No cars. Snow wasnt even cleared in Dublin.

I remember it well! I loved it! I now live in a place where there’s a lot of snow but its not such a big deal here!

Paradise, stuck in a pub for 3 nights in 1980s Ireland.

1977, 1979 and 1982 big blizzards. We have become soft in Ireland. Now a light skift of snow or a chilly night is "Red wearher event" sigh.

There were zero red warnings in Ireland this time.

If I had to be trapped somewhere in the snow I would choose a pub!

Yes, Tommy Heavany and John O'Reilly look really upset. Really angry at havin' to stay in a pub for three days straight...and this time with a handy airtight excuse.

I live near there, and when the snow melted, I bought my first ever car.

Ireland so community spirited back then, before globalism showed it's face

They didn’t have much but they had a culture, they had beliefs and they have a bit of pride in the country. None of which we have today.
