Thank you! There won't be any new videos for a couple of weeks (between vacation, transitioning to Archicad 26, and my editor doing a week of overnight camp, I'm not expecting to be ready to publish new content until mid-to-late August), but do you have any suggestions on topics you'd like to see?
@@Shoegnome Suggestions … 1. Roof dormers! What’s the best way to do them and still get your wall skins to cleanly align; 2. Similarly, how to properly place and cleanup end wall conditions when met with a sloped roof-how the siding stops properly and inside walls cleanup; and, 3. Roofs, roofs, and more roofs … and I don’t mean the basic roof but the complex roof like a vaulted gable space with a smaller gable intersection … how all the planes get trimmed and the interior drywall stays clean. Good luck with recalibrating for AC26 and enjoy your vacation. Cheers!
When you were editing your complex beam profile for the stair itself, the cross-sections of the timber beams under the landing had the diagonal X lines in them denoting a cut timber beam. Are these just 2D line segments drawn in the profile? Is there a way to have these show in a section through the beam? This is something that I've not figured out how to do but would love to know if it is possible - to be able to automatically show those X's in timber beams where they are cut in a section, without having to draw them by hand. if they don't show in section, why did you draw them in?
They do show in section. I wish there were a better solution, but: in the complex profile I draw the framing members as 4 triangles (of the same building material). The four fills don't merge, so you get the X. Unfortunately if you put 2 beams next to each other, their fills will merge. I wish there was a better way. Download my template and take a look at the complex profiles that are in the file.
very nice method, didnt think about not using stairs ;) best wishes from linkedin and i leave sub to You
Thanks!

Great topic. Roofs, roof intersections, and adjoining walls will make for a great video.
