Little Audrey's swimsuit looks pretty modern for its time period (1950s); it looks to me more like the modern one-piece swimsuit little girls today wear since the 1980s & 1990s rather than from the 1950s.
Yeah, you’re right, King Andrew Cecil. My mother was born in June 8, 1951, and she used to wear one of those old fashioned bathing suits in the 1950’s. Unlike Little Audrey’s bathing suit, her’s definitely looks like it was made as early as the 1980’s. (Giggling) Looking good there, Little Audrey.
Jackson Beck did a lot of voices for Fleischer(Bluto, etc.), Paramount when the took over Fleischer and Harvey when they bought the Paramount cartoons. He was the voice on the opening of the Superman radio show. He also was the voice of King Leonardo among others. Very versatile voice actor.
That's because it IS Jackson Beck- Bluto's voice in the Famous Studios/Paramount Popeye cartoons from 1944 through '57. He also provided other voices for their other series, like this one.
1:03-1:08 when the comic book artist remembered this is a little girl on the beach and we almost had her take her clothes off better switch to her dog covering its eyes then switch back with her covered up so she can put on her swimsuit.

Originally released as a Paramount "Noveltoon" in July 1953. Directed by I{sadore} Sparber, written by Larz Bourne, animated by Steve Muffati [who also drew Audrey's adventures in Harvey comic books at the time] and Morey Reden, with a nice score by Winston Sharples. Mae Questel and Jackson Beck provide the voices. Pal later returned in Audrey's last theatrical cartoon, "Dawg Gawn" (1958).
Tara Strong would not make a great role for Little Audrey, but scratchpad wiki of Harveytoons said that Kath Soucie should be the current voice of her...
4:55 Oh ho, The scene of the giant and naughty octopus on the beach just like other beach-themed cartoons like: Rainbow Parade Cartoon in Toonerville Picnic (1936), Mickey Mouse in The Beach Party (1931) and Oswald Rabbit in Beachcombers (1936).
The quality of this is unusually good for an old cartoon.
This cartoon was made for Cinema, completely different quality from TV cartoons XD
Little Audrey is soooo adorable in her swimsuit!!!!

Wow, I haven't seen this for 30 to 33 years. Goodness, thank you for remastering it and bringing it back for us youngesters.
greatguy200 How old are you?
I like how she just blows past the sign. And that lifeguard sounds like freakin' Bluto!
Like someone else said, the gentleman voicing the lifeguard is Jackson Beck (voice of Bluto in famous studios cartoon)
Indeedy. Prolly the same actor did the voice

That's the 2nd time that stupid Octopus has gotten in Audrey's way
Well, well, well, Mister Lifeguard, I guess Little Audrey’s dog isn’t so bad after all. He seems to like you.
As to little Audry's parents: She killed them when she burnt down the house
They were seen in her Harvey comic books from time to time, but were rarely seen (if any) in these "Noveltoons".
Who does she thinks she is? Michael Myers?
1:13 - Lookin' good, Audrey.
They don't make them like these anymore
I love it this cartoon 💛

I love Little Audrey 😀! She is my childhood 😀! She even got remastered in the DreamWorks series, Harvey Street Kids 😀!
Ah.. the good old days!
... also the dog, "Pal", here was also lifted from a Casper the Friendly Ghost episode.
I was thinking the same thing. I definitely thought that was the same dog from the Casper cartoon Casper takes a bow wow.
@@robbiefarabee6954 so i thin Pal And Casper are crossovers??
0:06 awwww how adorable
grown up Audrey will be an archery champion
I liked Audrey's laugh and she was much better than her predecessor, Lulu
1:03-1:08 when the comic book artist remembered this is a little girl on the beach and we almost had her take her clothes off better switch to her dog covering its eyes then switch back with her covered up so she can put on her swimsuit.

Jackson Beck was the voice for Bluto

Beautiful quality! Where did you find such a great copy?

The lifeguard have a voice that sound like Bluto on Popeye The Sailor cartoon in the 1950s.
Jackson Beck
