1st Gorilla glass is there version not specified.source:-gsmarena
2nd Nougat beta program for redmi 4 is available out of the box ( for the ones who really need latest Android).
3rd Might be a issue for some people but i use only one sim.
4th Fast charging is supported (saw a video on YT about it).

Clarification:
1. There is no gorilla glass, it is some kind of toughned glass and prone to scratches.
2. Beta version is there, but it is not a final one and not out of the box for all users, only for beta testers.
4. Fast charging is not supported, we used a QC 2.0 charger and it took almost 3 hours 20 minutes to charge it

check gsmarena there is gorilla glass n technical guruji mentioned it too in his unboxing video...and the ones who cares for nougat wont hve any major prob in registering for beta program..and i dnt hve the phn yet but check bcd technology channel(name might not be correct)but he showed it supports by measuring the amperes by something.
The company has clarified that it is toughened glass like the RN3 or RN4 and no Corning Gorilla glass, if you want to go with X or Y publication, you are free to do that. Yes, people who are interested can install Nougat, but don't you think there is a difference in providing final version at launch and beta version at launch? Again regarding fast charging, we have tested with a "branded" QC 2.0 charger. Also QC 2.0 charger is costly and the default charger shipped with it takes close to 4 hours.

those of you who are claiming his device has gorilla glass because your "guruji" said so, this device neither has gorilla glass nor it supports fast charging. Period.
Now continue watching your technical "guruji" videos, a guru who knows nothing about tech.
And if you really need a worthy tech reviewer than check the geeky ranjit channel, he doesn't claims himself to be a "guru" but he is into tech and stuff when your technical "guruji" wasn't even old enough to pursue B.com, which again doesn't have any relation to tech
i have nothing against technical guruji but the thing is that he isn't a tech reviewer, people who take his words as spoken by the prophet himself needs to calm down and see the reality.

I got update of nougat android version with miui 9 in my Xiaomi Redmi 4 (4gb RAM/ 64gb ROM), best device in range of 9000 to 11000. Simply we say he is the king of budget Smartphones, this is a good device, u have to use it with tempered glass & heavy rubber cover provided from Xiaomi Respectively. Good Luck

whenever I rub my finger gently on the back of my redmi 4 while charging. I get a tingling sensation ( most probably because it getting kind shock ) however when the charger is disconnected there is no tingling sensation on the back of this device when I rub my finger gently through ......so is that a issue or nothing to get worried about??? .....I am actually kind of worried since it's my first phone

for me it has a software issue may b hardware i dont knoe.. why it does not have multicolor notification light.. unlike other xioami device.. multicolor.led is very useful...but sadly rd 4 not having
You have to understand this is a budget device, you are getting excellent value for money for 6999 and 8999 so you have to compromise on LED color.
+Techniqued but all redmi phone's since 2015 redmi 2/note3 / etc has multicolor..i am really upset cs it has lots off usefulness..hope some future software update may fix

You are talking about features of phone and not issues.
This particular model has issues like poor network, mic issues which I am facing and I see many of them also facing.
Kindly make video on that rather than wasting your and people .s time on features.

I don't know whether the power in your house might be low or what... It doesn't take more than 100 mins from 0 to 90% charging. I am using this phone for last 2 weeks. Didn't test to charge till 100%. But i don't think its slow charging.
Whether its a corning gorilla glass or not, it doesn't matter. I am using Nokia Lumia 720 since 2013.its has corning gorilla glass. And it is prone to scratches as well. And screen of some of my friends got shattered of lumia 720. So gorilla glass doesn't mean you r getting a scratch proof glass or unbreakable glass.So there is no point in criticizing a phone for not having gorilla glass.
And i just checked gsm arena.. It has gorilla glass but version is unspecified.. There was only one way and reliable one when these RUclips channels didn't exist for giving review for any phone.. It was gsm arena.. And its still reliable. Make some sensible videos. U can earn money by making sensible videos as well.
Check any channel which has done the charging test, it takes a minimum of 2 hours for charging, you charged only till 90%, see how much time it takes to 100. It is normal charging and not a fast charging. Gorilla glass does not mean it is shatter proof or scratch resistant, but it is better than normal glass. We showed you the small scratches on the display in our usage. I did not criticize the phone, just highlighted the fact that since there is no gorilla glass, better to use a tempered glass. If you are going to check GSM arena and confirming things, then no point in discussing. GSM arena is just a blog or website. We have cross checked with the company and they confirmed it is a toughened glass and no gorilla glass. We make sensible videos and make money using them.
Techniqued now you are saying it takes more than 2 hour. In ur video u said it takes 3-4 hours to charge.

Techniqued and let's talk about the glass.. As u confirmed with company officials.. Its a toughened glass.. Have you compared that glass with gorilla glass. Now don't say that gorilla glass is better than normal glass because it also does not have normal glass as you mentioned (some toughened glass). Both are prone to scratches. Try testing this phone's glass and gorilla glass phone and then compare.i am not a die hard fan of this phone fyi :)
+Aditya Sharma From my experience testing phones for almost close to 6 years, gorilla glass will not have scratches like the one I showed for redmi4, that's why I included that point. Gorilla glass is not an ultimate protection it can also scratch but better than the toughend one on this device. Also these are not deal breakers as I said in the video these are some basic problems you might encounter using the device. I have hard many phones recently with curved glass and gorilla glass but haven't seen such scratches on the edges as I showed in the video. I hope that helps.

Less than 10000 rupees mobile phone list. Redmi 4 is good phone. I was purchased before 1 month so now I am happy... I couldn't see the hang, batter heating etc.

WhatsApp is not working properly in my Redmi 4, I tried to delete text msgs by selecting all text and guess what this phone was hang! I tried to do this 3-4 times and same thing happened, other then this I haven't found any issues, it's a nice phone.

Bro this device supports QC 3.0 as well as QC 2.0...
The processor supports it but it is not enabled by default. The default charger shipped with the device charges the phone in approx. 3+ hours.

It supports quick charging 2.0 and 3.0, but quick charger is not provided, so need to purchase it..
We tried it on our device with QC 2.0 charger and it took almost 3.20 minutes, also buying a Qc 2.0 charger costs more than 1k for good ones.

Our personal choice is 8999 variant, excellent value and we mentioned this in our review as well. But when you are on a tight budget obviously spending 2k might not be easy.

Yes, for normal usage 2GB is more than enough but you get only 10GB free space, if that's fine then the base variant is good.

It's a most buggy phone I have ever used, don't but this garbage phone.
Issue: Google Play App doesn't worked, App Debugging doesn't worked for development purposes, Automatic data time doesn't work, and most important its heats up while talking. Only UI is awesome.
