I really like the way you make the stem block...so easy! I was envisioning having to cut skinny little strips and trying to sew those! Your way is soooo much better than how I imagined! I love how you ladies in the quilting tutorials have made quilting today so easy to learn! I've always loved quilts, but never thought I'd be able to, when I was young, quilting was far more fussy and involved..ladies like you have opened up a whole new wonderful world of crafting to ladies like myself and I thank you whole heartedly for this!
Thank you so much Sheryl, The blocked seemed so easy them I could not figure out how to do the stem. You made every step so easy to understand. I am blessed and wish you Merry Christmas from South Louisiana,
love your video's you make things look easy and not frightening Even measuring isn't a nightmare for me as I am unable to fathom out degrees and metric now just watch and follow great
Thank you, do you mean BEFORE it is incorporated into the quilt? I was under the impression FINISHED meant the size after it was in the quilt... thanks! I plan on making this block and want to be sure I'm clear. Sorry...
uhhm hate to correct you on this but its the 9 1/2" otherwise you would be using the 5" squares instead... I missed that sorry..also I found that many people refer to finished and unfinished differently its like the different pronunciation of tomato..

I have no idea what I did wrong but my block is 10.5 and I was actually trying to make the bigger block but I got confused. Ugh.
I hate to ask this but is the 9 1/2 unfinished size?
Hi Ginmars. The block size in the video is the 12 1/2" finish size. Happy sewing.

What size leaf do you make for the table runner?
Hi Linda. All the blocks in the table runner are 12 1/2" x 12 1/2". Happy sewing.
Thank you I did figure it out after I asked the question. Thanks for clarifying this for me Happy sewing to you as well
Thank you for replying and letting us know!! Love your tutorials!!
Your instructions are wrong and now I’ve wasted my material! There is no 4” leaf fabric for the 12” leaf!
