Just wanted to say thank you for the excellent video on how to remove the lower door blade(molding) showing the square tabs and how they slide/lock in the bottom of the door was very helpful. I have a 2006 Audi A6 Quattro with just under 100,000 KM and I’ve started noticing a little rust bubbling on the topside of the lower door blade. I know it’s a common problem because water & salt get trapped behind the molding so I needed to know how to get it off. Thanks again👍🇨🇦
Thank you - very much appreciated!! Yes, you are 100% right, that gap at the top catches all the gunk from the roads and make a common spot for rust bubbles - not nice!! --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Please ensure you subscribe to our RUclips channel. 2) Please give our video's the Thumbs Up on RUclips. 3) Please help spread the word, the more people who know about us the better! Do you happen to know the part number of the actual rubber trim that is one the lower portion and covers that blade? My front doors are missing that seal.
Audi A6 2002 Avant closed driver's door opens very hard, i have to lift it up before opening it to get in. Any solution? Do you have tutorial how to disassemble tail doors for this Audi model? It's rusted a lot from inside. Thank you!
Hey there! No, I don't believe so as A6 and S4 doors are likley different lengths, and fixings are definitely different. --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Donations both needed and welcome! We're not doing much with the Q7 platform just yet. We are hoping to be able to expand Total Technik to cover additional models, but it's not a cheap undertaking and our expansion will be solely reliant on the support we receive from our viewers. That said, we do have SOME Q7 content coming soon. Hopefully we can cover that model in-depth in the not-too-distant future, but that really lies with those reading this! --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Donations both needed and welcome! It would be nice if you show how to remove the middle ones not something you had video about already. But guess I'll figure out that myself. Idiots everywhere...
The middle trim strips are tricky. They are usually only glued on with tape, but you need a really thin and high quality tape to replace it with, which can be quite hard to get hold of. --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Donations both needed and welcome! Is the c6 similar? Couple of screws and the pry off?
Did you find out? I have a c6 myself
@@NMEofdaST8 yeah it's a couple of screws either end and the you just slide it towards the back of the door to get it off.
@@critical_mass8279 thanks man appreciate it
Also did you have to replace the whole part? Where did you get it? My front ones are bent thanks
@@NMEofdaST8 no was only taking it off to check something. If you need another, check ebay and Internet in general or dealers if you're flush
how to remove upper chrome one and middle one?
I figured it out - the middle one is glued with double sided adhesive tape and upper one is mounted with rivets
Can you replace that with the s line blades that stick out further on the b7 model a4
