Two of Miranda's best songs, lyrically and performance BOTH, in my humble opinion are...her LIVE performance of Tin Man and the Official video of Vice!! Tin Man is SO TOUCHING, knowing it was done shortly after her divorce from Blake. Blake and Gwen were in the audience too (at the awards show). Vice has THE MOST cleverly written lyrics...you REALLY MUST break it down, line by line!! AMAZING!! ❤❤
Its a miracle she didnt start crying by end of second course. Watch live video from first 3 years of singing this song. She cant stop crying. And audiences got her back. The rest of the song
Maybe because it’s a live version, but I’m not crazy about the vocal choices she made in this performance. The music video, however, will bring you to tears. A great song, a gigantic hit for Miranda. 😊
I left home at 17 for the military because I wanted out of my tiny rural town and a bad childhood. Stayed away for decades. This song broke me because I did the very same thing. Just finally figured out I just needed to get back to me.
Brit I LOVE LOVE this song her video of her going to the actual house and she’s singing omg! Thank you Brit Brit this such a heartfelt song makes cry every time. I appreciate you Brit Brit❤️❣️🙏🇨🇦
This actually happened to me and my parents. A person who previously lived at the house we were in asked to come by to see it. It was a really neat experience. I love this song.
This song always reminds me of a home that I lived in from 1959 to 1964. My little brother took a picture of this home two or three years ago. This song always makes me cry even though I'm almost 70.
This love version is definitely different than the album version but still just a beautiful. You have to go down the Miranda Lambert rabbit hole... she has such a great country voice.
When this first came out, it was reported that a lot ot people started turning up at strangers doors to revisit their childhood home. I didnt, but going to my hometown, to certain places, floods my memory banks - the good and the bad that shaped me for adulthood. Many other things influenced me over my 61 years, but the roots of home hold strong.
My sisters and I went back to our first childhood home. We didn’t go in or anything, but we were struck by how small it was. In my memory it seemed so big. It was a strange feeling.
@@JohnPaul-hm2ys oh, definitely! All of my schools are tiny when I’ve gone back, especially my elementary school! There was this tower thing on the playground that I was terrified of. When I saw it as an adult, it was so small!
My favorite female country artist by far. She can play soft and emotional, or she can burn the party down type of girl. Good stuff. She was with Blake Shelton before Gwen.
Great reaction Britt.... She does this song on a special for Oklahoma that Blake Shelton hosted after a swath of tornadoes ripped through there years ago. She actually broke down singing the song. It was called "Healing in the Heartland" I believe. You should check it out.
You really need to hear John Fogerty with Miranda Lambert doing John’s classic CCR tune Wrote A Song For Everyone, which also features one of THE best guitar soloes you will ever hear, by the great Tom Morello. 🔥🔥🔥
Every time I hear this song, I cry. I grew up living with my grandparents. I was always promised that when they passed, I would get the house. They had spent a large part of my childhood remodeling the old farmhouse and everyone always said it was straight out of better homes and gardens. I adored that house. When I was 16, my grandmother passed away, and less than a year after she passed, we had to sell the house as we couldn’t afford to keep it as my grandfather had lost his job from taking care of her. I will never forget walking out the front door and leaving for the last time. My handprints are still on the concrete foundation and my name is written hundreds of times on the studs in the walls. A piece of my heart will always be a part of that house.
Holy moly! “Most people who are angry are lacking love.” Did you study psychology cuz that was just.. Mic Drop! 🎤 💥.. I hadn’t heard this song for a few years and it got me, big time. And your analysis of it. I’m used to you being all fun and lighthearted, which I love, but wow. Thank you for sharing this. 👍🏼👍🏼
Miranda definitely took some creative liberties in this live performance that don’t come through in the radio version. Loved it and enjoyed your reaction! Side note: give yourself some grace around the less than normal Christmas decorations. Just because you had different priorities doesn’t mean you were lazy! ✌🏼💕
Sometimes, in life, you have to go back to the beginning to move forward. My mom is 90 and still living in the house we grew up in. 4 generations now. The walls do carry the memories . In fact I am on the bus to go see her now. Life can have some sharp turns in which you land in the ditch. This song sounds like her happiest time was in those walls her pops built, and she christened it with he palm prints in the concrete stairs. When you lost go back to the place where you felt hope the most.
This always brings back to going home for Thanksgiving with my sons. I Realize my parents weren't capable of living on their own. Suddenly my sons and I were living in the house "that built me". They experienced a bit of my childhood for a few years. My boys really got close to my Dad and were there when he passed. My Mother never did bond with her grandkids. I never expected to see or deal with people from my past or ever be in that house for over a few days. I got rid of some my demons .
Gorgeous song. Always gives me the feels. This was her first big hit that she didn’t write. I just checked the wiki on this song. Very interesting. Beautiful song. Highly praised as well.
2:40 i almost can't keep listening.. We lost my Mommas house when she passed.. My childhood doggie Tiny And Ziggy, one of my favorite little furbabies since I been an adult both are buried under the tree in the back yard 💙 My Grams, my Daddy and my Momma all passed in that home. .. 😢
This song always makes me cry😢. After 55 years of my life, the family home is gone. Now, with both parents gone, I want to go home one last time. The house burnt down but the property and memories are still there.
One of hers that isn't as deep but fun/angry is her tune, "Mamas Broken Heart". Good reaction on this one. She is very reserved on this version. She breaks down sometimes when she is performing it.
Actually it was a co-write between Miranda & Blake. Miranda much more the songwriter of the two. A great song Miranda wrote that doesn’t get the exposure it should is “Holding on to You.”
This is a great song and Miranda has a powerful voice. I'm disappointed that she seems to be whispering her way through it in this video. I think it's the sound quality of the video itself, and Britt, I wish you could have heard her singing this with better sound. Anyway, thanks for another thoughtful reaction.
If you like this please check out Collin Rayes Scars Miranda sings back up vocals on it and they harmonize beautifuly on a sad song..oh yeah she's a little thing about 4 ft 11 and shes from Lindale Tx a little backwater in east texas not far from where my kins from in Denison..such a sad song
I love this song. Please react to Bonnie Raitt Just Like That... She won a Grammy for this song. I have been hoping to see a reaction video for this....
I'm blessed to live in the home I've been in since I was 3. I'm now 47 and so grateful that my mom gave me what money could never buy: Stability. It was passed along to my husband, who never had stability. That was 27 years ago and it changed him completely. No more worrying. Waking in the same home every single day.
You, young lady, are amazing. I love your videos; you have such a great understanding of how a song is crafted. Can't wait for your next reaction. Also, if you haven't already, check out Dan Vasc's' rendition of "Music of the Night".
I live in her hometown. She owns a gift shop here and Whataburger has a bunch of her memorabilia and stuff. Girl if you ask me what a Whataburger is.....hahahahaha
This song. This song reminds me of my mother so much. All things lead back to the will and power of our Lord God, however my mom gave birth to me 50 years ago. She helped me find life. 48 years later she helped me find life again as I had given in to addiction. Mom is the house that built me. She is where I should go back to when I am feeling lost and alone. Because, when I feel that no one else loves me, my mom shows me that she always has and always will love me. No matter what brokeness I am feeling she shines real love back on me. I will struggle when she is gone. Please forgive my ramblings in your comments. This song has me all in my feelings.
This is my favorite of Mirandas. She is so sweet here. But she can flip the switch to full on gangsta mode in split second. lol I don't think I would want to be on her bad side. What is that song and video where she is waiting for her abusive husband/boyfriend because she found out had just got out of jail. Yea. She was waiting for him and she was NOT scared of him anymore either. "Gunpowder and Lead" I think is the name of it.
I like "fiery" Miranda better than Ballad Miranda, but she tells great, personal stories either way. She played a little festival in Roanoke before she made it big, and even then you could tell she was special. I don't think you've done "Gunpowder and Lead" or "Everybody's Famous in a Small Town" - they're both very good stories.
Love the music video of this song. This live performance does too many odd things with the melody for me. But, hey. it remains one of the very best pop/country songs ever written!
Miranda is 3'7' so,,, . just kidding, I love/ hate this young lady Her songs resonate but, make me cry. She just touches your feels, I hate that she knows what I feel! Damnit! Who's this youngster who has 80 years of experience!
I think her throat must have been bothering her for this performance. This is not her usual key & she goes down instead of up in places throughout the song. You are correct that she went to unexpected places, but so does the radio version & you should check it out on your own, uninterrupted. This version sounds like she is trudging through like the pro she is, but it is not her best.
I don’t think I have ever made it through this song without crying.
Every time it gets me. And I still come back for more
Two of Miranda's best songs, lyrically and performance BOTH, in my humble opinion are...her LIVE performance of Tin Man and the Official video of Vice!! Tin Man is SO TOUCHING, knowing it was done shortly after her divorce from Blake. Blake and Gwen were in the audience too (at the awards show). A lot of incredible singers are overlooked because of their style or genre. I'm a rock guy but 'country' hits my heart. Thanks Britt
i think somebody stepped in and helped her rearrange that song, thank God!
I absolutely love what she did with the song here. Just showcases her artistry even more.
I left home at 17 for the military because I wanted out of my tiny rural town and a bad childhood. Stayed away for decades. This song broke me because I did the very same thing. Just finally figured out I just needed to get back to me.
This is such a beautiful song. I like the docent notes and the way she sings it
Brit I LOVE LOVE this song her video of her going to the actual house and she’s singing omg! Thank you Brit Brit this such a heartfelt song makes cry every time. I appreciate you Brit Brit❤️❣️🙏🇨🇦

@poguemom3 if you ever go back inside your old schools, they seem so compressed in size - like it shrunk.
@@JohnPaul-hm2ys oh, definitely! All of my schools are tiny when I’ve gone back, especially my elementary school! There was this tower thing on the playground that I was terrified of. When I saw it as an adult, it was so small!

Boy you should hear the fire in her voice when she sings gun powder and lead or kerosene!
Omg what a beautiful song. I’m so grateful to have come across your reaction to this. Thank you so much.❤️❤️❤️
Glad you enjoyed it

Oh Miranda is one of my FAVS. I Love about every one of her songs. She can really ROCK Too.

I actually love what Miranda did with this performance here. It’s so soft, emotive and beautiful.
I love Miranda Lambert

Great country song. She considers Patty Loveless one of her influences

Ah, man! I was disappointed you didn't react to the official video. It stirs up so much emotion. I tear up every time I watch it.
I'll check it out!
Yay Britt! Love your channel!@@brittreacts
This is one of my favorites of hers.
Miranda often sounds much different live than studio.
Two of her most underrated songs - that you’d like - are Dark Bars and Dear Old Sun
Miranda is such a great singer song writer. New Age Dolly Parton.
I have this feeling with the house I grew up in but even more so with my grandparent's place in the country
She is the best UNDERRATED artist❤
Don’t think she’s underrated at all.
Your simply beautiful ❤ May your journey with Love and family be prosperous. Peace and blessings 🎉❤
One of hers that isn't as deep but fun/angry is her tune, "Mamas Broken Heart". Good reaction on this one. She is very reserved on this version. She breaks down sometimes when she is performing it.
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST MUSIC ON RUclips COWBOYS BAR NONE👍
And you want to know about "Somethin' Bad"!
She has some incredible songs
Her Voice ... Just smh BEAUTIFUL For lacknof a better word. If you haven't reacted to alot of her songs.. You're nin for a treat.
Makes me miss my parents so much!
The video is so much better. It helps you understand the song. It takes you inside the house.
Another of her song's you should here is Over You. Highly recommend the original video. Blake Shelton wrote it when his brother died.
Actually it was a co-write between Miranda & Blake. Miranda much more the songwriter of the two.
A great song Miranda wrote that doesn’t get the exposure it should is “Holding on to You.”
Love this song!! 😊❤❤❤

You will enjoy her song Tin Man.
You need to watch Official music video. It goes so well with the song
Best video's all time, 1. WHITE LIAR 2. THE HOUSE THAT BUILT ME.

Not much of a Miranda fan, but I LOVE this song!
I love this song. Please react to Bonnie Raitt Just Like That... She won a Grammy for this song. I have been hoping to see a reaction video for this....
Love this song. 💚🤙
Me too!!
The video to this is good! It helps tell the story!!
Nice reaction. Another one from her early career with a different vibe is "Heart Like Mine"
You need to watch the official video..
Yes anger for the lack of love.
You would love her and Carrie underwood’s duet, something bad and Carrie underwood’s church bells
I love your videos
I'm blessed to live in the home I've been in since I was 3. I'm now 47 and so grateful that my mom gave me what money could never buy: Stability. OMG ya need MAMA'S BROKEN HEART in your life TODAY and bookmark it for when your girls go through heartaches and breakups!
You, young lady, are amazing. I love your videos; you have such a great understanding of how a song is crafted. Can't wait for your next reaction. Also, if you haven't already, check out Dan Vasc's' rendition of "Music of the Night".
Love Miranda. She is a true country artist.
Blake Shelton first wife. I hated that they divorced.
React to her song Tin man live AMC awards…. Fantastic!!!
Try Tin Man by her
Check out "more like her", "bluebird", "it will all come out in the wash", and "if i was a cowboy.
Okay I will!!
You should react to me. And charlie talking, it was one of her first hits and still my favorite
❤❤❤
The DBZ reference just increased the value of this reaction tenfold
Check out "Tin Man" and she did a great duet with Carrie Underwood called "Something's bad about to Happen". Check out the video.
This live version sounds a little different from the studio version. I think the breaks and inflections are a little different in this version.
There is a video out there where she sings a song called Scars, it is amazing! I don’t think she ever put it on an album
Should react to the video
I love your reaction to this song. Please do Pat Green's song "I'm Trying to Find It" Is like to here your thoughts on it.
I live in her hometown. She owns a gift shop here and Whataburger has a bunch of her memorabilia and stuff. Girl if you ask me what a Whataburger is.....hahahahaha

Not cookie cutter is good description
Watch the original video she does visit her house she grew up in
Hope you go and watch the videos after viewing the live version.
Don't forget the haunting Pedal Steel
Some people don’t get “the house that built me” versus a human building a house. It goes right over their heads.
this is different than how she sang it on the album

Yoy should check out some Kacey Musgrave "Biscuit"
Do not miss KEROSENE!!! :)
Love the music video of this song. This live performance does too many odd things with the melody for me. But, hey. it remains one of the very best pop/country songs ever written!
I like Tanya Tucker’s version of this song better.
More Like Her is her best song ruclips.net/video/UumRkksN-LE/видео.html
Miranda is 3'7' so,,, . just kidding, I love/ hate this young lady
Her songs resonate but, make me cry. She just touches your feels, I hate that she knows what I feel! Damnit! Who's this youngster who has 80 years of experience!
Listen to Tin Man!!!
Originally it was a small bit faster.
You're so beautiful ma'am
Thank you 😊
Your volume was a little low. I had a hard time hearing it but I know the song!
But ya got to see official vid for "WE SHOULD BE FRIENDS". I'l quit and you're welcome! TRUST ME!!!!
I like her songs not my mamas broken heart Kerosene also she did a song with Carrie Underwood called Something gonna Happen
Not sure why this video is so quiet
The video she sings it a little different
