Have you tested the difference between using dechlorinated water and tap water i personally use tap water and have no issues but i haven't tested the difference but i have tested the difference between using horticultural and lump charcoal from my fire place and i find my springtails do better on horticultural charcoal that is usually smaller pieces
Personally I use tap water also but figured it was frowned upon throughout the world so to avoid backlash I just used the demineralised. I always used demineralised water when I first kept them with no drama but one day just used tap water and saw no difference. As for the charcoal ive only ever used the horticultural charcoal
