Wow! This is a GREAT video! Full, I mean FULL, of valuable information. And SO interesting! Thank you! 👍🏼 (And also, I loved how you moved around throughout your home as you spoke to us!😉)
I think this 10 steps is quite helpful. I will be looking for a pre built tiny home however, much of what was noted will be things I will still need to do. Thank you for all this tips.
I just started my research and it's already getting overwhelming. The officials talk to me like I'm crazy when I call and ask questions because where I live (outside of Nashville Tennessee) people are getting big juicy houses in housing developments.
Great work. All the things I've seen by you have been excellent. You mentioned some things I haven't thought of. Last year I laid out an 8 by 24 foot section of my condo to get an idea of what it would be like. If I build a tiny house, it WILL have a loft. I live in California, and I would have a hard time finding a place to put it in my area. I looked at land in the foothills last fall, but that's in a fire area. Hopefully, Donald Trump or someone worse won't be elected president, and I will not be forced to sell. Planning for a house, though, is fun. Cheers.
Hi Gino. I'm glad your finding the videos helpful. I saw your questions about tiny homes in Alberta and such. I have several videos on that in general but it's difficult to give specifics because every province, county and municipality has different rules. My builder is Teacup Tiny Homes in Lethbridge. I highly recommend them. Futz Tiny Homes is also well regarded. My main suggestion is to interview several and go with your gut. But also ask for references and talk to some of their clients. And I'd highly recommend using a builder that is CSA certified. That is the number one thing that will help you find a legal parking spot. Good luck!
My why is bc I want a tiny (small) home just like Adelina’s bc it’s gorgeous, practical, stunning, just lovely. Great list along with great ideas etc like with every vid of yours I’ve watched. Adelina, you kick ass!!
@@myBIGtinyhouselife I just watched one she did. Adelina premiered it in November 2020 & just re-published it 2 weeks ago. She entitled it, “How I Got Rid of My Stuff.” At least I’m pretty sure.
Who knew! All those things that I forgot about when I moved from my last house to this one. Sheesh so many rules and regulation from the counties, crazy! Thank you.
Hello from Saskatchewan! Hope your doing well :) My husband and I have been talking and researching to live tiny for 4 years now. The situation with us is our 2 sons that are 18 and 22, still live at home and go to school and need to live in the city close to school. We want to purchase a piece of land and put our tinyhouse on. I guess we have to wait a couple more years until our 18 year old is mature enough to live on his own. :)
Thank you for the information this was a huge help it made me think that it would be best to stay with my parents and bulid the tiny home while with my parents
My father has his own construction company to bulid it with him would be amazing but I think I might go and find a professional person who knowns how to build these tiny house
Thank you so much! We are looking in to buying a tiny home and Jen in Lethbridge seems to be one of the best! I just have questions about doing it in Calgary, law and all that stuff, Im glad you were able to do it and I want to learn more of that side so we can look in to do it here in Calgary too 😊
Very helpful thank you. I'm definitely going to get a gooseneck trailer I'm just not sure of length since I will have a roommate and I have 2 kitties. Any recommendations?
It depends on factors like: how often you’ll move it, are you moving it yourself or hiring a professional, your hobbies, do you need a home office space, and the number of people/pets etc. only you can answer that. But, I would suggest walking through some in person to get a feel of the sizes before you make the decision.
@@myBIGtinyhouselife you are absolutely right I will do that. I live in USA East Coast but eventually will end up in either Colorado or California. Still trying to work that out. Thank you for your videos they really help me.
I want all of those. I love your tiny house. I am trying to convince my husband when we retire.
Great videos! I found your channel last night and can't stop watching!
Welcome! I appreciate that, thank you.
I’m so happy I found you. I want to build a tiny house ( I live in The US ) for when I retire and have no idea where to start. Now I do.

That’s maybe a more cost effective way to go. Will you build yourself or use a professional?
My father has his own construction company to bulid it with him would be amazing but I think I might go and find a professional person who knowns how to build these tiny house
Keep in mind that going with a builder that is CSA certified will give you more options to find a legal parking spot.
That why I am leaning in that direction

Who did you find to insure your tiny house? I am in Lethbridge and looking at a similar situation to you.
Hi. My insurance agent is Debbie Smith at HDF Insurance in Edmonton. The insurer is Intact Insurance.
Where did you find your refrigerator?
It’s a Maytag from The Brick but this model is discontinued unfortunately
