Anita was played by a Mexican-American actress who went by the name of Movita (real name, Maria Luisa Castaneda) who was born on a train between Mexico and Nogales, Arizona. She was the second wife of actor Marlon Brando. In films, she played exotic women and singers, such as in Flying Down to Rio (1933) and Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) of which she was the last surviving cast member when she passed away in 2015,
