Accurate... everything just stops.. the enemy goes for a cup of tea.. while a guy is dying 👍😇

U think they charging like in napoleon wars
It didn´t, the guy with the LMG was blasting at the windows, and other squads were pushing in.
Tea time is serious business!!!
I guess he’s referring to as why we couldn’t hear the background shots and screams n shit but the scene was made to be this way
Firefight, american soldier gets hit...enemy stops fighting to allow sad emotional scene in the quiet, nobody worries anymore about enemy movement because they are taking a coffee break.
Yeah right...
You did notice the SAW Gunner covering them, right?

@@Tracer_Krieg the shooting quiets down man, the scene is simply not realistic. Nothing bad about it, relax, not every movie is a masterpiece :-)
I like how they just forget about the current threat and just sit there and talk. Maybe not shooting will bore the enemy to death
Dude with the SAW lit that shit up and im sure the building got pushed up on by that point and was being cleared.
@@MrAdamske Exactly. They got his ass or were moving on it. I'm not military but wouldn't a squad hold position upon losing a member if there are many other full-force squads around/available?
@@leonidasoneoneseven There is a difference between holding position and completely giving up situational awareness and flank security due to emotions. Even if the building was being cleared by another squad, it is never safe to assume that the area is clear just because another squad has you covered.
@@MS_Prd did you not see the 30 guys they ran past to get to that wall, there were 4 of them there they didnt do anything wrong lmao
@LostWizardCat they are actively participating in an assault on a enemy held position, and in direct support of a forward element. You do not take your eyes off your forward element just because one of your guys got hit, because you risk the lives of everyone around you by just sitting down and talking. Try enlisting in the military, doing this exact same thing and telling your sergant that "you're doing nothing wrong"
You and your whole squad will be permanently fucked for good
re-enactment of "Full Metal Jacket" in desert cam.
Hey is true, full metal jacket Iraq mode
who cares
MrSrossm I do
Why is this amazing?
Seriously, it's 2019, I'm sure they can invent a small camera on the rifle with a detachable screen or HUD so no soldier has to peek out from a barrier to look and shoot at the target. Even a stupid periscope would be better.
They came out with one it was a rifle barrel you could slap left or right and peek around corners with it connected to a helmet eyesight unfortunately DoD said it would cost too much to refit/trian all our troops with it!
@@warboss1117 true I can believe it. $$$$$ is worth more than lives
sad thing is, the germans came up with a sight in WW2 to attach to a Stg 44 (with a curved barrel) specifically for that purpose. the US came up with a metal tube to attach to the M3 submachine gun so you could shoot around corners without being exposed. Aimpoint makes a Concealed Engagement Unit
Israel did. RIFLE that shoots around corners."Too expensive".Maybe 1 in 8 soldiers need have it.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CornerShot
They have been tried many times. It is not a cost issue. The problem is in the few situations they work are not worth the tradeoffs. What most people miss is that that bullets from assault rifles go through walls. And grenade launchers are a thing. If you try to peak over or around a wall the entire corner/top of that wall is just going to be blow off/threw. Corner shot devices are useful in some situations but its a specialist tool.
Yep.. always go into a firefight with your chinstrap waving in the breeze so your helmet falls off next time you dive for cover.

Pfft, assuming they survive, they get to do it to the next generation. So it all works out.
@@uspatriot4261 Agreed...but we haven't been fighting for "the great republic" for a looong time.
Bet that was a shit ton of fun to film ^^
I think that it is the same scenes there were in "Full Metal Jacket " when the G.I. attacked Hue city, in Vietnam
That's exactly what I thought.
Nothing like real life, when firing starts everyone hits the dirt and they dont move up in an organized manner....
In my experience, some freeze but other move forward and maneuver. Depending on training and unit type. Combat arms tend to have better discipline and combat veterans stabilize cohesion...support units are often a mess during contact. Of course, the film maker is going to show troops moving in line...better cinematic effect.
Saw gunner would have been on the Windows while everyone else buddy rush into the building
@✪Hidden unfortunately as in most situations like this you move you die Hollywood makes you think you can out run a bullet, there's dozens of Vietnam stories on RUclips and they all say the same once the shooting starts hit the ground get low as possible..
@✪Hidden As an ex serviceman you don't hit the dirt if there's cover near by obviously but if there isn't cover you try to establish where the fire is coming from and then try to overwhelm the enemy with overpowering fire power,as soon as the firing comes at you 99% of the time you no idea where its coming from and you're very disorientated but the way they showed it in the film wasn't accurate at all..
Just look at 1 of a 1000 videos where troops are fired upon from buildings ect and they take cover or get as low down as they can also theres very little movement especially not charging like John Wayne im sorry but this is Hollywood not real life...
I love how there's absolutely no covering fire when they actually expose themselves. Before you have multiple guys "peeking" and looking for the enemy, that's when you have your SAW gunner let loose.
Was there even a military consultant for the movie? or was this one of the director moments that had to happen this way for dramatic effect? Or was it just a clueless editor that put the SAW gunner at the end?
Anyways hopefully one day hollywood figures out what an ACOG reticle actually looks like. They never get it even remotely close.
Worst war movie of all time. The vast majority of the combat scenes are of the one dipshit protagonist who kills himself just looking slack-jawed and stupified, like, "Oh jeez, what....is this combat? What have I done by joining the Army?" It's a limp-dicked apologist take on the evils of American intervention and overt, capitalist-driven greed. Oh no, we actually have to kill people, I thought I was signing up to rotate mayonnaise and change out toilet paper.

In reality we would have leveled the fucking place with airstrikes and artillery before sending in troops. Why send in troops first when you can drumbeat the shit out of the place first.
Wait out for gamers telling us how real war works .......
In cod modern warfare of some sort they just need to take some r'n r before fully recovered. Older games had med patch. Atleast battlefield on ps2 have this one class of soldier just inject himself with some sort of drug and he's recovered while walking. Wish we have this game of battle where we can practice cauterizing, hauling helpless soldier, or applying medics and bandage.
@@kirra9152 Games like that do exist, however are not as in depth but do have mods or other popular addons which have highly advanced medical systems (ArmA 3). Best Plate Carrier
And what body armor is that in the video??
Emilio117 not a plate carrier apparently. Lol the armor he’s wearing was just Kevlar, not good for stopping what I’m assuming was 7.62 round, ya know like a rifle round. What he had on is only going to stop something like a 9mm and shrapnel from a grenade explosion or maybe IED.
@@chickenguy4828 I did not know that, I thought that what the Marines were equipped to protect him from that kind of caliber, rightly some people take it away because they do not care and it is less weight. Thanks for the info
Emilio117 well this movie is set during the Gulf War so the uniforms and gear issued are completely different. Everyone wearing plates today is a fairly new thing. I think for the longest it was mostly Special Ops guys that wore them and over time the normal Soldiers and Marines adopted em, especially towards the beginning of the War On Terror.
I was hoping for "BROKEN ARROW! I SAY AGAIN "BROKEN ARROW"!!!
One person risks it because someone always freezes up or gets too scared to be of any use.
The beginning gave me band of brothers caretan vibes
I guess the script didn't provision for chest ballistic plates.

Especially because any combat type round hitting the "life triangle" represented by the point of your chin and the sides of your shoulders is 99% deadly. In that area there are all vital arteries and if the shot comes with a downward trajectory it becomes 100% deadly because the round bounces inside the ribcage downwards damaging other vital organs. "Life triangle" targeting is taught in sniper courses if you're wondering how I know.
@@ClaudeMagicbox We never asked "how you know" because we know that you don't know this from attending USASC. You wouldn't say it otherwise.
Why did they stop shooting? Did they forget that their was a combatant with a superior fighting position no more than what, 30 meters ahead of them?
Ehh they kind of showed someone shooting back. But accuracy was clearly not the goal of the scene. It was about the guy not being perfect and his friend paying for it and that cost.
they had at least 3 other squads on the scene those 4 guys werent doing anything that couldnt be done by the other 10+ guys

I saw no action whatsoever when l was in the army thank heavens, but the people l met who had, said everything changes when you see someone you know hit - you become a different person. I think this scene was trying to make some point like that. It’s not a documentary or training film after all.
Soldiers know they won't make it when they hear classic music in the middle of the fight. Then all their friends stop shooting, come around for a last cheer, and the enemy wait patiently because it's USA who decide who and when to fight.

Desert: place where there is a lack of water
The plants (herbs, grasses) around them: can't go that long without water.
So either they don't know what a desert is or they don't know what plants they are planting for this scene.
You do realize that deserts aren't always completely barren right? A desert can be anywhere with small amounts of rainfall, but that doesn't mean there isn't any. Not to mention, there are plants that can go months without water, so to think that deserts are void of any flora is pretty fucking stupid unless your pulling my leg, then r/wooosh to me.
Edit: Not to mention ground water, irrigation systems and springs within deserts.
@@medicalmishap1452 Those are not desert plants though. Those are the same plants that are in the Red Woods (a coastal rainforest). These plants can't last long without water, and their roots can't go that deep. And the sun and heat would dry them out as they are not meant to be in a desert climate, but a humid climate. So BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM get oofed
This has been the most mundane argument I have ever seen, so I will keep my final reply brief. This scene was filmed in Morocco. Morocco is a desert, very similar to that of iraq. The plants werent added, they are natural to that region of the world. I honestly dont know what your talking about with the redwood shit, in this scene its literally just palm trees, bushes, and grass. What stopping power does modern body armour have used in situations like this?
