Ridley Scott is a Hack these days and Gladiator 2 is the most unnecessary and unwated Sequel ever made. Gladiator with Russell Crowe is a Masterpiece and was a one and done. There was no need for a Sequel Whatsoever. Ridley Scott needs to Retire because He Sucks Now.
The fight with the boats is based on an actual arena battle but there was no sharks, sharks are difficult enough to move now in the modern world, let alone back then, it would have been impossible in fact. Its clear Ridley Scott put them in because he just doesn't care anymore. Seen better sharks in a Sharknado film lol The way Hollywood is making films these days, it's like they have lost the love of making films.
Surprisingly I didn't mind the film. This is odd because Ridley Scott's track record since The Martian has been atrocious. I will admit I didn't watch the original Gladiator until the day before I saw the sequel. So I essentially did a double feature. The first I absolutely loved, this one I was entertained enough despite it being too long. Which granted the first one was also a long film but still. Denzel Washington is definitely the film's MVP. I can watch this guy in anything, I swear, truly one of my favorite actors of all time. Can't wait for more Equalizer! As he announced 4 and 5 while promoting this film.
@austinwillcut4919 I think when Denzel announced 4 and 5, he said something like, "Someone has to take care of the bad guys." And I'm like "Well yeah, I mean John Wick's dead." Lmao 🤣
@MrDman21 IKR lol, but all the sites provided further confirmation that they are in development after he announced em. No surprise, really. I mean, all three films were successful at the box office, so why quit while you're ahead? 🤣
@touchstonefan0348 I'm getting tired of these dudes still trying to be action stars in their 70s. Arnold, Sly, now Denzel? These guys never learn 🤦🏽♂️
Even Russell Crowe saw the movie 🎥 because Scott gave him a copy of the film 🎞️ and he said it doesn’t make any sense how his character have a son by the women from the first movie because he already had a wife and kid and he said he didn’t like the film 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣👎👎👎👎👎👎
