  • An introduction to the AnnotateImage script in PixInsight (part 2).
    In this video, we show you how to use custom annotation catalog files in CSV format, which you can easily prepare and edit with plain text file editors and spreadsheet applications. We use the DynamicPSF tool to compute the coordinates of several comparison stars and then manually include additional data, such as magnitudes, in the exported CSV file. We use the custom catalog to create a blazar finding chart with AnnotateImage.
    Finally, we demonstrate an exciting and inspiring application of AnnotateImage to identify thousands of objects in the confines of the visible universe by annotating their redshifts using the Milliquas catalog with a wide-field image of the Virgo cluster region.
