Hello - I just picked up my first JD 318 about a week ago, so I'm learning a lot as I go, and your channel is a great reference. I just found out that my 1988 tractor has a built in Aug 1982 rebuilt 2021 B48G-GA020 Onan engine, which means it's a 20HP instead of the original B43G with 18HP (if I did my homework right - please correct me if I'm wrong). So now I'm puzzled with which home maintenance kit to buy to perform the tune-up. The kit LG181 which Deere sells for the 318 comes with the following items: AM101207 Oil Filter - AM116304 Fuel Filter - HE1401496 Air Element - HE1402628 Air Filter/Cartridge - AM132420 Spark Plug (2) - TY22029 10W30 Engine Oil Quart (2) - Oil Change Sticker and I'm not sure if I'm going to have issues with spark plugs or oil filter for example, while I think the rest should fit just fine. What do you think? any ideas will be very appreciated. Thanks
I’m not 100% sure, but I’m pretty sure that the maintenance parts between the B43 and B48 are the same. Other kits I’ve seen on eBay advertise as working for both.
