    Can't wait to be back to full health to really put some time into this drill. I like the name of the Baryshinikov Drill! That guy was amazing...such body control. Poetry in motion!

      Thank you James. There is no way to replace people in our lives, but we can be grateful for the time we had with them.

    I loooove this drill. Every time I get on the course and try to KILL the ball, I lean back on this drill. Sets me back straight and pure strikes.

    It occurs to me that some sort of guide on the ground on where your feet take off and land might be helpful. Remember (if you can) those old guides of outlined feet that helped (I guess) people to learn to dance? Something like that.

      That is a good idea Charles, we will have to see about creating an explainer (whiteboard) video with more visuals.

    The counter fall is the most difficult concept for me to understand. Is it fall backwards away from the ball, falling towards the target at the top of the backswing or somewhere in between?

    • @gravitygolf
      @gravitygolf  2 года назад +1

      Technically it is 90 degrees from where you're weight is positioned at setup. If you fall inside of that line, it promotes a draw, which is the easiest way to learn how to feel it (soft draws). If you fall directly at it, it creates a straight ball flight and if you fall to the outside of it, it creates a fade. It is definitely meant to be learned as a feeling, which is why I suggest hitting soft draws with extra club at short distances taking a full swing. It promotes path integrity and a very soft upper body. Feel free to reach out on our site with your contact info, if you would like to talk in more detail. Thanks for watching!

      @@gravitygolf are there any Gravity Golf instructors currently located in the Boca Raton area of south Florida? I know it’s summer and your schools are in other parts of the country. Thanks for your reply.

    I am 65 with some arthritis. Is this a drill for older golfers?

    • @colerche
      @colerche 3 года назад +1

      Depends on where you are sensitive. I think it is more problems in the legs and ankles which might cause issues here...But Daniel might have a word to say here. There are other drills, less demanding, which also help with internalizing these dynamics.

      @@colerche is correct, this is a more advanced drill for people that are in good athletic shape. I would start your focus on a Cross Footed Drill or a Transfer Drill. Thank you for your questions @Rober_Prevost and your reply @Charles_Lerche
