Honestly, you and your videos are two big reasons of why I consider to keep my T120. I'm considering going to something more cruiser-headed custom, like an oldish VT750. But a few weeks ago I rode through a forestal road and I was mostly calmed because of seeing you riding through worse roads, so I knew the T120 could handle that. Those were twenty minutes of suffering, but really satisfying at the end of that path. As you say, a "do everything" bike. I'm a bit concerned about the reliability. However, I repeat, seeing your videos makes me want to stay this bike forever. Thanks for your work on your videos, greetings from Madrid!
Thanks Gabriel, they’re such great bikes I think if they’re looked after they’ll last forever. Glad to be inspiring you to keep hold of your T120 for now 👍
Love the music 🎶 I got my my beautiful Honda cb500s stole and it broke my heart. A friend offered me he's Triumph bonneville t100 2011 so l bought it. I'm more upright now, feeling more relaxed but the sadness hasn't went away yet. Anyway, I'm hoping to continue being Cool 😎 and the Triumph is very Cool 😎 so, new chapter, onwards and upwards 👍
Yes it's the road next to Ramsden, the reservoirs in the video are Dovestones at the beginning then Riding Wood in the middle. Obviously if you ride round there you don't need me to tell how nice it is 🙂
Pure magic, perfect world !❤ Except for the strange drink you have at the beginning, which looks like tea with milk 😂😂 Salut from France, this makes me want to do the same with my T100 !! Thanks for the ride
Really enjoyed that Matt, always great fun and relaxing. Makes me think of getting a Bonneville to keep 'Ruby' my RE classic 350 company in my garage! Second thoughts my 1955 Francis Barnett, Kestrel 66, might get jealous!😅 Thanks Matt, ride safe.
Wish I could say it was intentional, but at the time I was fairly annoyed thinking the lorry ruined my shot. Happy it turned out quite good in the end 😁
You took that beautiful machine of road. I'd be too worried a rock or stone would damage something, nice peaceful video, triumph should use your videos to sell there bikes.
I recently discovered this channel and it is a real delight!. Fantastic landscapes, premium quality content and a motorcycle that is a passion. I also like the visor you use in this video, big one. Where can I find a similar visor? :)
Glad to hear you’re liking the videos. I very much rate this sort of large visor, my one is by Ethen, though I’m not sure what the specific model name is. I bought mine from Urban Rider 👍
I wish I could say I was that cool. In the moment I was was actually quite annoyed thinking the lorry had ruined my shot, only when I got home and checked the footage did I realise it looked quite good 😁
For whatever reason your videos make me want to fire up the T120 immediately except here in Phoenix we are in the start of the warmest days of the year (100 - 115 degrees F.) The dirt roads with that bike do make me cringe a bit, but you do seem to be at ease with it, my compliments!
Thanks Mike, if you could send some of your sun our way that’d be great thanks. The Bonnie’s more than capable of a bit of loose gravel work, it’s me that struggles 😁
Only really on a bit of light gravel type stuff & going slowly. I don’t personally have the skills to do much more than that but it’s capable bike, if a bit heavy and low for true off-roading.
Matt, do you suffer much from punctures with the Bonneville? I love the T120, and while spoked wheels are a beautiful and classic look, the tubed tires are honestly the single thing holding me back from getting one.
I got three punctures in my first summer with it (mostly my fault to be fair). To be honest it's a nightmare as you have to get the bike trailered away, there's no fixing a puncture at the side of the road on a T120. But these days I have breakdown cover that will take me anywhere and I always carry a spare tube on longer journeys, so if I do get a flat it shouldn't cause too much trouble. I wouldn't let it put you off buying one, plus you can always have the rims sealed so you can go tubeless (I might do this myself at some point).
@@ClassicRides, I've got an older bike with spoked wheels now and have had at least 3 flats since 2022. I do prefer the look of a spoked wheel on a classic bike, but hate the hassle and cost of the repair. One of the "must haves" on my list for a new bike is tubeless wheels, but I hadn't fully considered converting a spoked rim to tubeless. I'll have to research that a bit. Many thanks, Matt!
@@ClassicRides, agreed. Spoked wheels on the Scamblers are tubeless by design, I believe, but perhaps the spokes terminating to the side of the rim instead of the center portion doesn't fit the aesthetic of a T120.
Question: Why don’t the UK police use Triumph Bonneville T120s? The BMW and Yamaha bikes look like equivalents. This is a question from a T120 owner in Australia, so please forgive my naivety.
@@ClassicRides they don’t use them here. Historically, Triumphs were used by UK police until the 1980s - 1990s. Just surprised there has not been a UK return to UK bikes now that the quality issues (e.g. vibration), that were an issue for the police, no longer exist.
"So what did you do today dear?"
"I went for a ride with my friend Matt."
That's what it feels like. And all done without a word being said.
Glad to have you along Alex 👊
Watching a Triumph motorcycle glide effortlessly through narrow gravel back roads highlighted its superb engineering and rugged elegance.
Amen!
It really is a “do everything” bike 👌
This is the best sounding bike I have seen. That grumble from the engine at low revs is just music to ears. ❣️
Loved the video, man! 👍
Thanks Akash, glad you liked it. The bike sounds much better in real life to be honest 😁
Eyyyy an Indian fellow man of culture.❤ His vids are a treat. And my days! That motorcycle is grace on two wheels.❤
Wonderful video! You've raised the bar again. That brief crossroads scene at 3:23 was my favorite!
I loved the timing at 6:50 and the end chuckle
I was just super glad I got to the end without binning my bike 😁
So glad to hear you liked it, I’m very happy with how that shot came out too 🙂
Hello. Your videos are really relaxing and good for my soul
I've been watching your videos for 4 months now
Thank you from Vietnam
Thank you, I'm so glad to hear you've been enjoying the videos.
Great video, loved the off road stuff, made me smile. Who needs an adventure bike! 🤭
Not me anyway, my abilities stop way before the bikes do so an adventure bike would be wasted on me 😁

Thanks Mark!
Another great video Matt, I bet the reservoirs are full around there with the weather we have Ben having lately.
Well done for making it all the way.
Thanks Les, yes no worry about water shortages this "summer".
Brilliant video
Thanks so much Martyn, super kind of you! I'll put that towards petrol in the next video 👍🏻
Absolutely brilliant! Loved the music accompaniment too. I bet of cleaning was required after!
Thanks Paul, yes she got a bit grubby, well worth it though!
Amazing footage. Thanks for sharing..😮
Thanks Ed!
Thats Ramsdens Reservoir by Holmfirth. Its gorgeous there. Loads of bikers on the 616 woodhead. Im often there for picnics when it isnt raining!

Definition of freedom on a motorcycle? Minute 3.22! Pure magic! What a beautiful video, well done you Matt, thank you! 👍👍
Thanks Nelio! 👊
Stunning video as always matt
Thanks Stephen 🙏

Tea with milk is the only way it should be drank 😁
😊
Congratulations.
Another high quality video.

Glad you liked it Peter, I think a Classic 350 and a Bonneville might just be perfect stablemates 👌🏻 (I'm sure your Kestrel wouldn't mind).
perfect !!
Thanks! 🙏🏻
Lindo vídeo Matt. Adorei cada detalhe. Parabéns, belo trabalho.
Thanks so much, I’m glad you liked it 🙏
As usual Matt great footage. Great to see some gravel footage
I reckon Bonnevilles are really good on gravel ....even loaded up 😉
Thanks Mark, yes it's far more capable than folk give it credit for. It's got more ability off road than I do 😁
Your video’s are so relaxing it is like therapy.
Thanks Jan, glad you liked it 👍
I always look forward to watching your videos.
I wish I could do more of them 👍
Love the shot of the lorry passing kicking up dust then as it settles you ride into view great camera work

Oglądanie twoich filmów to sama przyjemność! Dziękuje.
Thank you 🙏🏻
What a well edited video, this was a complete joy to watch. Thanks for sharing!
That’s nice of you to say, glad you enjoyed it.
Exceptional videography.
Enjoyed watching you take the T120 down some quite interesting roads.
Beautiful English countryside.
Well done Matt.
Thanks Kelly, glad to hear you enjoyed it 🙏

I figure I’m not going fast enough to do any real damage 😁
Often thought that
@@ClassicRidesI'd admire the way your not frightened to use the bonneville the way it should be matt ie used in all weather's and conditions
@@IanClarke-bi3se Thanks Ian, I'm not looking to wreck the bike but she's not going to be a garage queen either.
@@ClassicRides good lad can I ask you what the music is on your new film?

Great vid. Fresh. Very cinematic. Enjoyed Beautiful countryside and music. Hope the water andmud didn't get in camera. Next time, be safe

best plan is find a short stretch and give it a go,,,,the bonnie is just fine on these roads just needs a clean up afterwards
Absolutely agree, the Bonnie is far more capable than I am so if I bin it, it's my fault
i didn't realise how comfortably torquey my T120 is until i put my 2010 gsf 650 bandit back on the road yes the 650
They’re such good bikes, all that torque is quite reassuring on roads that aren’t smooth.
The t120 is every bike you will ever need
Lovely..... and tell me that you sat waiting for 2 hours for a truck to appear just so you could emerge from the dust cloud it created???
I wish I could say I was that cool. In the moment I was was actually quite annoyed thinking the lorry had ruined my shot, only when I got home and checked the footage did I realise it looked quite good 😁
Lucky boy and me sat at home with my speed twin 1200 in the garage, one day 🤔🫣
You’ve got to grab those rare rain-free hours when you can at the moment 🌧️

Amazing!! Congrats!!! What yours cams setup?
Thanks. In this video the cams are Insta 360 Ace Pro and X4, and a Fuji X-t4.
Slow ride and enyoi the forest, the top...
Nothing better!
Was it to try your new off road tires 😉? Nice ride! 👍
Both tyres and the bike are way more capable off road than I am 😁
I really like the cinematography on the video. Does anybody know what kind of camera he is using? thanks
I use a few different cameras Charlie, in this video I used a Fuji X-T4, Insta360 Ace Pro and an X4.

hi matt! do you have handlebar raiser mounted? i did that this year and it feels great.
Yes I do, I got the Motone Up and Over's on which made the bike a little more comfy.
