  • I've been to six Metallica shows, but this small gig by these three young Mexican girls is right up there in terms of entertainment level. Epic.

    Watching this, I am reminded that there are some who doubt Dany as a guitarist, mainly because she doesnt concentrate on searing solos. It really boils my piss! To make a comment like that you would have to be totally ignorant of what Rock is all about. We all love a great solo, but for those, watch David Gilmour or Eddie Van Halen. Heavy rock is about the riff, and Dany is one of the most creative and powerful riffers out there, as can be seen here. Lzzy Hale and Matt Bellamy didnt gift her guitars because they thought she needed encouragement, they gave those gifts in recognition and as a salute to her. And if Matt Bellamy can acknowledge her, its good enough for me. All the while being one of the best voices in Rock, and a natural front person.
    One of the things that make this band special, is that each of the 3 girls are phenomenally talented in everything they do. Its near on a super power. And as they are not yet anywhere near their peak, its almost frightening.

      Not to mention, she has quite a few songs with beautiful melodic solos. (Mainly on the first two albums) So, if it fits the song, she'll do it. Dany can riff mixing almost rhythm and lead licks while belting powerful rock vocals. She rocks. They all rock.

    • @RaveEpic
      @RaveEpic Месяц назад +10

      Guitar solos are barely still around anymore and anyone worth a shit knows that solos are a tool and used when needed. Being able to control her riffs and sing at the same time already makes her a cut above the rest. She's touring the world. What are they doing?

    • @RaveEpic
      @RaveEpic Месяц назад +5

      I would also like to add that Gojira is one of the biggest metal bands on the planet and I can only think of 3 solos in the 25+ year discography. It's only noise if anyone is doubting Joe and Andreu's playing ability.

    The more I listen and watch, the more I discover small things I love. Recently, I've been drawn to the way Dany gestures with her index finger. There's a precision to it, as if it holds a hidden energy that emphasizes the lyrics and enhances the music, making the audience feel included in a shared secret understanding. It’s a
    “You all know what I'm talking about, and we are all in this together.” The way she points with such authority is really cool. Right up there Pau puts her chin down and looks straight into the camera and grins. And the way Ale cuts her eyes and smiles. When I was 22 my band opened for Janis Joplin and Jerry Lee Lewis, so I've been up close and on stage with some powerful groups. Not since Peral Jam have I been this enthralled with a rock band as cool as The Warning. I watch at least one song every night. It so refreshing to see this level of professionalism in a group like you. Big hug to the entire family and crew. Jimmy Hager - screenwriter. Florida Wild in theaters 2025.

    One brief telling thing that happened that made me so happy: towards the end of the song, Dany plays the wrong chord and quickly moves her hand up the neck to play the right one. In an age of pre-recorded music pretending to be live, it's nice to see a young band actually playing live. As Joe Strummer once said, "Playing (punk) music isn't about playing the right chords."
