I would still take the Prado. The general market specs had also 180l of fuel capacity standard. Only Europe/ Uk/ JDM markets had a single tank. Also the Prado is much more comfortable to drive over any terrain than the Cruiser. So getting there is not as tiring as the Cruiser. Prado also much more stealth and easier to drive/ park than the Cruiser.
Cruiser wins for living room space but at the cost of much higher diesel consumption and price.

Thanks Johan 😉😉 PRADO LOVERS CLUB 😎😎 they are two different vehicles and yet it depends on the use one wants to do...and it could maybe possible to install a pop up roof on the Prado😉

I would choose the Prado for comfort and stealth camping ,maybe with a light roof top tent for Africa

Hello Aldo, I have read that vehicles with right hand drive are not permitted in some countries in Central America, did you have any problem in Central America?

Hi Jorge, yes indeed, that's correct, Costa Rica and Nicaragua don't allow import of RHD, we shipped our car from Colombia to Mexico and drove back into Guatemala. We crossed those small central America countries overland via Public transport. Hope this helps. 👍👍👍

I personally think it would have been more enjoyable to watch in Italian with English subtitles, maybe next time!

I agree. Back then, we didn't have a proper microphone set. Our main channel is in Italian, and we do have English subs on most of the videos 👍

From your experience around the world with that vehicle, on many kinds of land surface, which one will you recommend? Gasoline or diesel power? I mean from economic side or capability.

Hi Rusdy, We haven't been to Africa yet but they told us Diesel is easier to find there, about the other 5 continents we always found both diesel and gasoline as fuel. Regarding the capabilities, we believe that a diesel vehicle will burn less fuel as it runs on lower revs and also provides more torque compared to a gasoline powered engine. However with that said if you compare a 3.0lt Diesel with a 5.8lt V8 gasoline probably both torque and (depending how fast you drive) fuel consumption could be similar we would stick with diesel... the big commercial lorries are all diesel as well as working machines , cargo ships and so on... probably diesel is the best option for durability. We do have friends travelling around the world with gasoline powered toyotas and jeeps, ultimately is the driver choice. hope this helps. Cheers :))))

Well noted then. How about transmission/gear box , better manual or automatic?

@@rusdyasalim3161 if we are really talking about traveling (overlanding) then a Diesel 4wd with a reliable engine easy to fix is the way to go ! For the gearbox, a manual one is, i think, mandatory !
