Spurs had to opportunity last season to pip Villa to the Champions league spot. That would have probably brought Eze and better players to the club. What did the fans do? Celebrate losing to City because it made it harder for Arsenal to win the league. How do you change THAT culture? You can't.
The handball rule changed before this season. The Premier League issued guidance that explained this and there’s a guide dated September from their website. It makes sense, why should you ignore accidental handballs for penalties but count them in the build up to a goal. Accidental handball before a goal is scored It is an offence if a player scores in the opponents’ goal: -Directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper -Immediately after the ball has touched their hand/arm, even if accidental Mitigating factors -Goal not immediate -Goal scored by a teammate -Ball not entering goal; however action of a defender results in an ‘own goal’
we didn't, it was a bunch of social media muppets who jumped on the NUFC bandwagon after the champions league season, the same plastic rubbish that's infesting the sea right now.
Decisions on the pitch. You say handball. You don’t mention the incident on Gordon getting smashed in the face which should have been a penalty. I’d also like to know where 10 plus 2 extra time came from?
Anything that has Expressions down and out and ceases his over the top goal celebrations is fine with me. I look forward to days like this. Rottenham Coldspur
Dry Lunch now banking on his plastic Liverpool fan burner account to help him get through his lonely days 😅 Anyway, chins up eikel as Brighton have a few injuries too so you should batter them today 😅
The teams super tired though, to be fair Arsenal probably are too but the high press and intensity that Newcastle play with is heavily impacted by tiredness. They also don’t have the squad depth of Arsenal to rotate any players.
@@andrewcharlton6080 we're in a bit of a tight situation. We have the ability but ridiculous circumstances have killed all hopes for trophies imo. Fixture list, injuries, sickness, had 2 of the toughest away games back to back with an injury crisis and flu ravaging the squad.
@I’ve got to say we can’t complain at the minute, our form has improved and we’ve just got Botman back after a long year out. We have a settled 11 at the minute but I’d like more depth, Wilson is a big miss and another CB and RW would have been lovely to get in the summer but I’ll settle for them now too lol. I hope I’m wrong but I’m not expecting us to win the cup, they’d be 3 very difficult games. Hopefully we’ll give a good account of ourselves and play well though, good luck what ever happens
@@andrewcharlton6080 I think it's kinda shocking you haven't gone into the market for a right winger AND you let Minteh go. Botman being back must be a massive boost. I don't particularly expect to win honestly, just seen Ethan Nwaneri's now also injured and Sterling STILL isn't back yet. We are thin out wide. Arteta always finds solutions but quite often it takes a big loss for him to take action, have a feeling that might be Newcastle, especially considering Eddie Howe's record against Mikel Arteta is absolutely brilliant.
Disasterclass just because they lost? Terry did you even watch the game from minute 1 to the end????? Spurs played very werll and went toe to toe with Newcastle, Newcastle edged out a win which included a blatant Bruno G handball. I'm a Man Utd fan but must defend Spurs here from such a ridiculous headline
You have no clue what you are talking about. Spurs had 10 players out with injury or suspension combined with most of their team being riddled with illness. The first goal to Newcastle was an obvious handball so therefore the game was a draw at 1 1. Spurs also completely dominating the 2nd half and If they had a forward who could finish they would have won fairly easily.
45:00 Newcastle have beaten us 5 times in 15 years, 4 wins at their ground, and once at ours, 3 draws & 20 wins for Arsenal. My guy is saying it as it's going to be easy 😮💨
I thought a handball that give the player a unfair advantage should he blown up. That hand ball literally stops spurs playing out the back to get a overload in midfield, it puts spurs at immediate disadvantage and allows Newcastle player to pass into the player that 3 seconds later lands in the net.. Isn't the whole point of handball rule to prevent unfair advantage.. If he's on the goal line and that handball happens. Its a red and penalty, not play on..
it wasn't a build up to a goal though, it was a ball to hand incident that led to a possession turnover, not only do you need to learn to fucking read and update your out dated knowledge of the rule, but you also need to get some basic lessons in context, because you clearly don't get what's being said to you.
Actual Newcastle fans never wanted Eddie Howe sacked mate.

Accidental handball before a goal is scored
It is an offence if a player scores in the opponents’ goal:
-Directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper
-Immediately after the ball has touched their hand/arm, even if accidental
Mitigating factors
-Goal not immediate

results in an ‘own goal’
What happened to "Domination in tha location"
Newcastle had the worst injury record in PL history last year, they didnt lose 10 of their 1st 20.

If the ball hits the hand in the build up to a goal, it should be a foul whether it was intentional or not. That has always been the norm.
