Me and my family just moved here. I have to say everything you said in this video is spot on. Cumming is hot! (I'm from Minnesota) But overall the feel of Cumming is delightful, great for families! Downtown Cumming is particularly exciting! I can't believe all the stuff there is for me and my family to do, there's events all the time and even a small water park! Lots of unique history here too, plenty of interracial friction brought us to the present cumming, but it has settled with many places here being exceptionally diverse. I love Cumming! Thanks for the video 🥰🥰

I live in Cumming. They are really building way too many residentials in and above Cumming. Coal Mountain also is on the up in constructions. but you also need to be very careful as there is going to be an increase in taxes pushing out ppl that will barely be able to afford it. Everything is accurate but you also need to know that the ppl who moved away from the city moved away for a reason. Low Costs while still not being Stone Mountain levels of crime.

A couple of good points for retirees, there is no state income tax on Social Security. Also, Forsyth County has a really good deal where the property tax is reduced by 80% for those who are 65 and older.

I am a long time resident of Cumming. We moved up here in 1975. Hwy 400 was only open to hwy 20. I tell everyone not to move to Cumming. Too many people, too many homes and way too much traffic. However, I must differ with you on the Indian Seats. I grew up on those rocks. You can not see Atlanta from them as they are on the opposite side of the mountain from Atlanta. There are lots and lots of Latinos here, and more are moving in weekly, not to mention Indians (from India) whole areas where they are very, very prolific.

You think that Cumming was like being out in the country 15 years ago? Are you crazy? You should have seen Cumming back in 1994. That was country. My parents bought a home in a brand new subdivision and we had chickens from the farm next door walking through our subdivision. We didn't even have a phone or cable for over a month because there was no phone line where we were. That's country. Cumming hasn't been country in a very long time, way before 15 years ago.
The people in Forsyth county doesn't want Marta up here.
I will say that education here has definitely improved. Back in 1994, talking to the teenagers and people my age then (20s) you could definitely tell that the education these kids were or had was extremely poor. So the schooling here has definitely improved.
I know that she didn't mention it. We have so many new gigantic subdivisions being built like she said. Also townhomes like she said and we have so many people moving here. And I do mean a lot of people. A lot of people from out of state and a lot of international people. Cumming has gotten to the point where we have way too many people here.
The shopping is not phenomenal but it is improving. There's not that many restaurants here that aren't chain restaurants, so that definitely needs to be improved on.
Another thing is that some of the older subdivisions are going to be on larger lots where as she stated in the video new homes are much smaller lots. That is very true. But there seems to be some people who are moving here, and are buying old homes to demolish them and then rebuilding a brand new gigantic home on it. There are definitely some very pretty areas in Cumming where you still have a lot of woods surrounding the home or subdivision. There's definitely some better areas of coming than others.
I've lived here in Cumming for over 30 years and I can definitely say that this area has transformed night and day. Personally I can only think of one thing that is a true con about living here. But I'm going to keep that to myself.
