My poor phone surely would have melted in my hands trying to contain all the excitement here! As luck would have it, I was watching today on a more robust device! That third lap alone was worth any price of admission, and surely the fates of who would advance were decided in part on that journey! Thank you Geoffrey for the history of the Thunderbird! Sneaky Bob earning his name at every turn, beginning with that lovely overtake on the first lap just before the finish line! Not to be terribly chauvinistic in my patronage, yes I was cheering on my American friends in this field. How surprising our Polish driver also advanced, good job to him!! A tragedy for Dog Squab Racing today, but I see his team is not finished yet! The Daytona has speed, but must also exhibit control as any car must in order to move on. I was just on my way out to fight crime (12:37 am here) and I saw the finish of that first race and said "Forget Gotham." An amazing steal at the last minute.

Congrats to Sneaky Bob on the win. I wanted to see Jay Bo move on as well but couldn't get that lucky. The car was definitely fast enough but was all over the track constantly and even off of the track at times.
