Every season City won the epl without a key player.
But Rodri is an important player

So if City wins the epl without Rodri what would they say

the fact they are level on odds with arsenal with 2pts ahead shows how this is a blow, especially in champions league.

Rodri is not more important than Pep Guardiola. The team will play well and we don't need to idolise the next Rodri replacement

Stop with this BULLCACK narrative now. Klopp competed last season with two thirds of his 1st team missing
    Enough already with the excuses

This sky is falling nonsense around City losing Rodri needs to stop. City are absolutely stacked and their extreme possession playing style makes it virtually impossible for any opponent to actually get the ball off them. They will be just fine without Rodri and people are sleeping on Kovacic big time.

There will 100% be games that they would have otherwise won that they will lose because Rodri isn't there. That's enough to cost them titles. Nobody thinks they're gonna go on a 10 game losing streak or something.

He won’t be missed at all, City’s bench is full of replacements. They have Nunes who is actually really good and is unlucky to be playing in Rodri’s position who is the best player in the world. And also they have Kovacic who is excellent also. Also Stones literally helped them win a CL playing in Rodri’s position.

I love the degree of shear stupidity and boundless ignorance in comments sections regarding the importance of Rodri. Some of the authors must have the intellectual prowess of a mule hoof. The idea that missing Rodri shouldn’t be an issue is not only objectively false, it’s completely disingenuous. We are many talking about a top player like a KDB or an Odegaard or Vini jr of which there may be a handful of other players on the same level as them. Unfortunately, no one is at Rodri’s level.
This is a DM who got 23GA last season. Let that sink in. He’s a DM as good if not better GA than a lot of attacking midfielders. Of course this will be a huge negative for City. Question is, will it be enough to lose the league?
