Agreed. The min / max thing is personally not healthy - I do like some research to understand mechanics but what’s the point of making the game too easy with some OP build! My second play through of baldur’s gate 3 for example I took my time and it was enjoyable. I still haven’t finished haha
In a game like Elden Ring. I totally agree. For POE, the decisions are so harsh that I feel like you have to. What if you don’t like how your ascension plays endgame? Just make a new character?

I found a bow at level 52 it's for level like 47 or 48. +132% physical damage, +68% elemental damage. Both T5 rolls +2 physical damage runes. My Ranger hits hard AF!
I wish mod tier somewhat scaled with area level. It's Bullshit that I can have a level 50 weapon that's better than anything I've found for another 30 levels.
The funny thing is (almost) never trust people trying to buy/sell things off you in PoE2 itself. I have seen people try and buy Divine`s for below 30Ex, and people trying to sell off their mediocre rares for double the price its worth when just using the trade site. People are just very scummy on PoE2 itself. Worst case scenario and you dont trust what its worth? Look up the currency or item/mods on the site, type in the mods you are looking for/selling and if on average they are like 5ex or w/e then thats the price you should be going with. PS : Dont just look at the first few items being listed, these are most likely people trying to price gauge items or lower them for their own gains. Like i said people can be scummy and will fight over literally breadcrumbs to gain a slight advantage on things.

Nice also for sorcerers cast speed should be just under spell level. We can get damage from many sources. Spell level (a must), cast speed (very desirable), %element, spell damage, gain % as same element, and if you get an add on like shock chance or freeze…oh man. I like element over spell damage but spell damage sells just as well. This way the bonus ticks on dots etc vs just spell cast hits
wait, you could see which set of affixes are pre/suf-? that’s crazy, I’ve never noticed, always had to guess instinctively. Unless it’s actually a mod.

And here I am still at the basic of trying to figure out what to do with all the unique gear that doesn't fit my class besides throwing it in the stash.
Just saying, but crit chance and crit damage are incredibly strong as they increase your BASE crit chance/damage values. Of course, no reason to have crit if your prefixes are crap but depending on your build it might be vital, for example crit chance on Crossbows if you're building for crit.
as an under average poe player(350h in poe 160h in poe2), i can estimate values myself. i know what stuff it's worth it, i know when i literally rip people off by buying their listed items. i even built 1/3 of the build I use. It's uber capable!(oneshot bosses) and also very fast clears. But somehow the items i use on my build were literally cheap af! no clue why tho. I bought most of my build with under 30ex/piece, but was able to sell the same items i used for 1-2divs after adding quality and iron runes to them. +skill level isn't that important without damage. i compared by bow with 160 lightning and 150 phys dmg with 85% elemental damage with a bow with half the flats, but +3 lvl to projectile skills, it was way worse! -1.5k dps. but i knew how to use the trade site from the beginning, so after gathering some exalts until act 2 i was able to buy items which carried me trough acts by oneshotting every mob and boss haha. I started to die a bit too much at T10+ maps, and that's where i got my current build. I've just killed Djinn Barya 4th floor boss(sanctum for 4th ascendancy)! I deleted his hp bar at his every stage! But sadly my luck is trash. I didn't drop a div or something better in the past 40 hours of playtime, which made me rely on trade sells for currency.

for selling, mana can be worth some value given the popularity of Archmage builds. for using the gear yourself, you typically don't need more than one, maybe two, decent mana rolls for it to be enough

the name = the "base" of the item and what determines its implicit values (i.e: armor/evasion/energy shield value or physical damage on weapons.) you're basically looking for the word "expert" in front of everything for the highest tier - if you're ever confused, just look at the "level requirement" of the item (next to its stat reqs)
Wait and go through the main quest until you're higher level. Check the vendors every time you level up and grab any gears that you lacking. You can make(gamble I'd say😂) the gears with orbs if you saved up a lot.
not sure they are the most 2 important things for all builds. im only on act I of cruel. no armour, -16 or something for all resistances. im clueless when it comes to a well planned and complimentary use of the passive skill tree and still dont really understand charges lol i dont use spirit. im still able to usually kill bosses in first attempt... oh and 0% movement buffs
I can't get Tiers to show up on items anymore? That was the only way I had, as a stupid person, of valuing items... playing on controller I'd just compare items and the Tiers would show up but they don't anymore?
Best way to make money is hang out in the trading site buy anything that you think is worth more than one exalt, which is listed for one exalt. Then resell those yourself. Keep making 2-3 ex each time till you get rich. Only downside is you don’t get to actually play the game
I’m 130 hours into the game and haven’t even beat act 2 yet. Yes, I want the answers spoonfed to me, because I’m clearly doing terrible without. 😂 I have no idea what I’m doing wrong, but everyone on reddit is acting as if my head is made out of cheese

Thires a unique that gives +2 to 4 on all skill gems inmcluding minnions js might be buged tho and not supposed to jucie up minnions but it does
Can roll on one handed mace I got mace with lvl 3 minion and scepter with two lvls and hat with one… it’s crazy!
My sceptre rolled +4 to minions when I used an exalted orb

Idk about fire cold and lightning being the most damage from enemies in this game. poison damage is slept on those enemy's do decent poison damage
by now i just need to know which items actually sell from what has dropped for me, as after 47h i only got 2 exalted orbs and i want more.

not sure they are the most 2 important things for all builds. im only on act I of cruel. no armour, -16 or something for all resistances. im clueless when it comes to a well planned and complimentary use of the passive skill tree and still dont really understand charges lol i dont use spirit. im still able to usually kill bosses in first attempt... oh and 0% movement buffs

I can't get Tiers to show up on items anymore? That was the only way I had, as a stupid person, of valuing items... playing on controller I'd just compare items and the Tiers would show up but they don't anymore?
look in settings for an option of "advanced item descriptions" or something similar

Better to use exalts on the trading site. Crafting drops are so rare there's no point. Would be a fun system if you got more drops to do the crafting

Best way to make money is hang out in the trading site buy anything that you think is worth more than one exalt, which is listed for one exalt. Then resell those yourself. Keep making 2-3 ex each time till you get rich. Only downside is you don’t get to actually play the game

Yeah, I'm like 27 hours in Beat Act 2, but I did have to do some wild strategy to beat Act 2 final boss, but I felt so proud of it and that it worked.
