@@thefifth4669 I don't know about Season 2, since I haven't watched it, but I re-watched Season 1 of JJK very recently and was surprised that my opinion of the animation soured. It had some good scenes and set-pieces (like Nanami & Yuji vs Mahito, or everyone vs Hanami), but-imo-it's really rough around the edges compared to the likes of Mob Psycho S1-3 and 2015 One Punch Man.
JC staff where under a very short deadline when they where doing OPM season 2. One thing that gives me hope is that the teaser didn't included a range of release date, like "summer/winter 202#" or something like that. Hopefully the season will be release when it's ready, and the artists and animators have the necessary time to do their job correctly and not be under stress.
Respect for not reading the Manga. The very second S2 ended I was like "No... No you're not leaving it there...NO!" & immediately read like over 100 Chapters in a single night.
Season 2 had like very few months to get it animation so they deserve props for making something great. love you for saying that! I too enjoyed the season 2 because of the gosh dam plot. Hello AniMelon, for those who don't know, even though season 1 and season 2 were from different studios but they were made by the same animator team but season 2 has more animators than season 1 The reason season 2's animation isn't as good as season 1 is because they didn't put as much thought into it as they did in season 1 Same series compositon (Tomohiro Suzuki) Same Art Director (Shigemi Ikeda, Yukiko Maruyama) And some other ... The entire reason for why season 1 was as mindblowing as it was, was because of its director, Shingo Natsume. He's got connections across the industry, and brought in pretty much an all-stars team of freelancers to elevate the season above and beyond. That was the key resource that JC Staff didn't have access to while making season 2. Granted, JC Staff aren't / weren't as experienced with high-intensity action series in general, which shows, but it was Natsume's personal investment in the project that made the biggest difference It's a good thing that they don't have Kodansha as a producer because they will be rushed Kodansha is known as a bad producer because they are the problem that makes AOT S4 not as good as previous seasons. #Greetings

I liked season 2 aswell. i dont remember that has bad animations aswell. like A class heroes vs Garou was really good in my opinion... when it comes to bad animation, i think bout black clover first 40 50 episodes comes to my mind. I cant wait for season 3 One Punch Man . I hope people wont bash studio too much when it comes out because as a manga reader i can say its going to be really hard to animate season 3.
There's levels of spectacle that season 3 would greatly benefit from with the quality of animation from Season 1 but i think they'll do fine. just depends on how far they'll go in season 3.
I agree with your take Melon. Animation shouldn't be the end-all-be-all because an anime can have great animation but the story is lacking, which most people will stop watching. If a manga was judged purely on the art, then One's original art for OPM would've never been read.
Often people misunderstand what they mean by animation. There are different ways to achieve the same result with different animation, I think the moments where you can see better how the animation is done is with fast movement scenes. There might be moments when a punch is paused for a second or when fast movement becomes very blurry, that can indicate that there was less work put into it or just a creative decision on purpose. Compared to the famous scenes from Naruto and Shippuden where you can see the animation was more focused towards movement and fluidity, the animator would exaggerate the poses and deform them, which still results in a very cool animation to watch. Which then leads to one problem, people might pause the show see Pain with a cone shaped face and say the animation is bad. Or see the artwork from One Piece 5 years later and think the animation has improved so much. I've also seen that people tend to prefer scenes with CGI and effects, but it can still be part of the animation.
Yup, the guy who calls himself Monster/Hero Hunter : Garou. He beat up several A class heroes including S class Tank Top Master. And he almost crushed the poor noble real hero - Mumen Rider. We get to see a lot more of him in the 3rd Season.
I'm really agree with you, the animation of season 2 aren't a problem, season 2's animation is really beautiful, except a little glow down on a few scenes between garo and Bang but it stayed really clean i find. People like complain for nothing i think, it's like that.
It's been very long indeed but I think it's a good sign of them actually going back to the quality of S1 animation. I don't care if they take forever to do it as long as it is of good quality. I'd rather wait and have something amazing that have things quickly but with degrading quality and overworked animators (sadly, that last part is likely still gonna be true, especially in Japan).

Season 2’s problem was the rushing for JC Staff, obviously we were never going to get MAPPA or MADHOUSE again, and im okay with that, we did get spoiled for season 1, it was an actual passion project for them, but the sound design and pacing was really out of place, the story from the manga was still so strong and solid that it can make most of those small mistakes not be visible, but in the end, we all know how much better it could have been, luckily it looks like JC Staff was given more time and they have learned from their mistakes from the few clips we just saw, if the whole season is like that, it is more than good enough
You definitely should read the manga because the artstyle, details in every panel not only the drawings, the story and narrative transitions are way better and I mean, the first impression is important and the manga has the intensity, expression and force that the anime have not, garou is a teenager and in the manga looks like a teenager and do not look like a 27 yo immature man and idk it is more realistic in general, and well, the manga have incredible scenes that will be animated in like 10 years, every opm animated adaptation will not be so cool like the manga is, it is peak sensation. Edit: In the manga, there are scenes that the anime do not include because the 24 min scheme, and details in the actions that the anime do not transmit very well, like that scene of garou turning his hair red of nowhere, in the manga is explained much better, i do not complain at the animation for what it is but what do not achieve to perform in relation at the manga panels, it is just nerfed. The anime is okay and is good but the manga is the manga and you should read it for the sake of peace, the world will be much better if you do that. (Sorry if my english is not very good)

Season 2 was super bad, in terms of animation, character models were really off, the osts sucked, pacing sucked, everything was a mess unfortunately.
Literally the only problem about season 2 was the animation and the sound effects that was being reused over and over, other than that it was just fine, not "super bad". But y'all want to make it seem like it was the worst thing to ever be released which it wasn't
