Thanks to your channel, I've been finding some of these retired Spooky Town producrs from other sellers and found some good ones! Thank you for showing all of these!
This Friday through Sunday southern California will have Midsummer Scream convention in case some folks haven't heard of it. All over the country there are halloween related cons. I wish Lemax could team up with events and make some extra special exclusive pieces.
I have over 200 halloween buildings and countless accessories and figurines I've either made, altered, or bought that I've collected over the past 30 years. I'm very picky. Back in the day the lights were all white, I would changed them to suit the scene I was creating for that year. I never repeat the same design. Totally love Halloween.
Definitely a 'collection starter' for me. I bought THIS one as my first piece, because I fell in love with the fact that it has a spook-ified version of Brahms Hungarian Dance No. 5.
Amazing piece! This is one of the must haves that I ended up getting this year. The soundtrack is so good, and the animation seems to run pretty smoothly, despite having so many points of movement as would usually be somewhat concerning. I think this is the best exclusive they released this year. It also has great themeing possibilities. Great review!
Doug...maybe for a Q and A segment down the road but...you must have a ton of these now...what do you do with storage? Do you keep me them in the box after or do you have an area you just sheet over and store in the basement/garage?
I actually have a basement shelving unit that I use for them. Figures have a big plastic tub. I keep everything in boxes! I buy, sell and trade a lot as well and that keeps it manageable! A few years ago I did a massive downsizing!
I just bought this piece for the water wheel. I thought it was too cool. Very impressed with the building itself. It was displayed at the store hence why I bought it. No justice to the piece until you see it in person. Thanks Doug for another awesome video!👍
Newbie here. My family LOVES Halloween and we just started collecting Spooky Village pieces several years ago. We may have 4 - 5 now total. Just picked this one up and unfortunately the motion is not working, although the lights are. Back to Michael's we go. Hopefully I'll be able to switch it out for another because we absolutely love this one! Thanks for the review.
Love it! I'm planning a move this October and I'm not sure how much decorating I'll be able to do. In the meantime, I'm living vicariously through you and your videos. Thank You!
This is definitely my favorite piece of this year, and I picked it up yesterday. Of course I used the Michaels 20% off coupon as well. And like you mentioned, the audio is very good, it's one that you won't get tired of even if you leave it on all the time. 🎃
Where do you put all these villages? I do love this time of year, when the seasonal stuff starts kicking up. But when I think about it practically, I can't just buy all this stuff. There's not much "use" I have for all of it. But I do like watching the videos.
Great review. I loved the video preview but was a bit disappointed in the building once in hand. Everything seems to turn very slowly. Also I wish they had actual water on the water wheel like the Christmas one!
I really hope I get a 40% off coupon so I can get this one! If not, I'll definitely pick it up next year. I love the gator and the toxic green water :D
Hey Doug - have you looked into Midjourney? It's an AI that creates images based on keywords. You can make all sorts of trippy, fever-induced spooky images. It's awesome.
Good lord the spam comments 🙄. For some reason I missed seeing this one back at the release. 🤷♀️ Very interesting piece. I love that it has 5 points of animation... Wow! The lighting is great for sure. And I do like the soundtrack... It's not annoying..lol This one doesnt fit my village. But I definitely will go check it out in person at my store. Thanks for another great review! Happy Haunting 👻
Hi Doug this is Tim Fremuth again this is a piece the head stone mill brewery that I also on and got incredible discounts including a $10 voucher as well as an additional 15% mystery roulette coupon that also was applied after the 50% Halloween special that Michaels was running since I purchased it just last week being right around October the eighth . My dilemma with this building is that it doesn’t go well with the gloom room and I need some building that is next to that showpiece flagship building called the gloom room that has the tremendous strobe lighting that I want to retain since I also got a tremendous 65% off discount on that building and only had to pay $67 for the Glümer room. This building is really fun to have but being over age 65 with three grandchildren under age 7 that really can’t enjoy the frivolity of this I’ve lost the ability with my wife to have a lot of space for this type of building displays so I am interested if you know of some type of soundtrack building that Lemax made that would go along with The gloom room that perhaps I could pick up on eBay that would have that New Orleans soundtrack without any audio voices just the music to go along with that wonderful dance floor happenings that are so Intrachol to the strobe lighting building called the gloom room. Would really appreciate any guidance you could give me on this proposed plan that I have going on in my head trying to retain the gloom room and have music going along occasionally with the strobe lighting feature. Again take care hope your family is doing well hope you’re doing well and that you’re going to enjoy this Halloween season now that it is almost upon us and the pandemic seems to be under control. Sincerely, Tim Fremuth
The soundtrack is better than past ones. At least there aren't the screaming and giggling voices. They were irritating. The music reminds me of the Fire in the Hole ride at Silver Dollar City. I'm not a fan of this building. I think the windmill at the top looks odd. Water wheel would be better with mist or something similar. I have the Dead Creek Mill and love it. Took forever to find one that wasn't broken or missing the fish or pole.
Thanks for all your reviews😁I’m a huge Halloween fan but new to these buildings and have spent way too much on them for this upcoming season! Can you tell me where your backdrop is from?
hey Sherry both Rahmin and S W are correct, depending on which you are talking about! I painted the background I use for some of my building parts of the videos, and I ordered a big tapestry from etsy as the background piece for when I am talking myself
Hello' Village.... I ' m a artist your admirator but if You like i think Good for this summer a Just new opera for passionality , actuality etc.... oh yes i think very nice why in Spooky Villages must are in order ... The soundtrack is Brahms Hungarian Dance No. 5, great classical piece, although I never imagined it would be on a Lemax piece!
Thanks for the ID on the music!
I had to buy three of them to get one that works

Lol, I’m old and have had a long time to hunt! And be picky! Love building scenes at work for everyone to see enjoy.

That sounds like an impressive collection!

Thanks! This is one of my top 5 buildings of the year!
Interesting soundtrack. But, man, 5 points of animation scares me more than the ghouls and zombies. Thanks for the review.

Great! Now I want one!!

good luck on swapping it out and happy you guys are involved in the hobby!
mine had the same issue. i manually pushed the brewers at the top and that caused the motor to kick in and all the pieces started to move.
Just got this one too! It’s awesome!
I love the soundtrack on this one!
Love it! I'm planning a move this October and I'm not sure how much decorating I'll be able to do. In the meantime, I'm living vicariously through you and your videos. Thank You!
Wow! Looks great!
Ordered mine 😊

I agree on the audio. It's very easy to just let this one play!

I have a basement shelving unit and I'm a tight packer. I also constantly am buying and selling pieces for video work
Love the soundtrack! It could fit in a western theme nicely. Maybe the green water is just algae. Environmental issues 😂
Ha, yes! Bad algae this year!
Kinda want it just for the soundtrack!
Great review. I loved the video preview but was a bit disappointed in the building once in hand. Everything seems to turn very slowly. Also I wish they had actual water on the water wheel like the Christmas one!
Good one!

Spam comments from bots are pretty bad this year. It's annoying that the filter doesn't catch more of them as they are quite obvious!
@@SpookyVillages yes I have been seeing them alot. And it isn't just on your channel. 🤷♀️ Hopefully they will fix it eventually. 😉
Is anyone experiencing a squeak due to the motion? I’ve tried two of these but they both have a periodic squeak.
Im super pissed just got this and the ghost in the grave doesnt come all the way out and open the grave....

I believe he painted it himself last year.
I think he got it from Etsy
