after seeing this video i just ordered the complete series on bluray. even though this was one of my favorite shows when i was a kid im hoping there is one or two episodes i missed
Seen all 120 episodes I was 19 years old tv land aired it in 2003 seen all 120 episodes Last year on tubitv 😊
@@mikesilva3868 i hate comercials so i bought it, so far im on disk one and i dont remember any thing im seeing....im loving it, its like im watching for the first time
The original Batmobile was the best ever.
To this day, id drive the Batmobile from the show over any of the others.
The Batmobile is one sexy car.
@@elvis616 Hell Yes it is. 👍😎
Agreed original batmobile was amazing
For sure
1960’s T.V. series had a very tight budget, they couldn’t afford to waste any tape...even props were shared.
Sad moment learning of West's passing. Truly a great person.
MightyMouse Speedy I was in downtown Los Angeles across the street from City Hall when they were paying tribute and lighting up the bat skylight one last time
He didn’t die in vain , Adam West lived his life down to the last “ POW! WHAM ! ZOK! KKKRRUCHH ! KAPOW ! EEEERRR! ZOUD! BIFF! KACRASH! “ HAND ME DOWN THE SHARK REPELLENT BAT SPRAY!!”
@@rogerswindell7537 That he did ol' chum, that he did.
Very sad to see the great stars of the 1960s shows leave us slowly. I was deeply saddened by the passing of David Hedison: Capt. Crane on Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
Yeah he was the only batman in my book.
I loved this show as a kid. Thanks for the blooper highlights.
Of course this stuff just flew over my head as a kid.
Fun stuff
When I was a kid I couldn't wait for every Wednesday and Thursday night to watch this show. Eventually it went to one night a week but I loved it. Seems so silly now (but in a good way). I remember lining up to go the the movie too. Back then and for myself and my friends that went it was as good as 'Gone with the Wind'...lol. I even dressed up as the riddler for a couple of Halloween's. Miss those days a lot. Simpler and better.
That's when you had clean tv shows on tv. It's so filthy today. Great memories then.
Same bat time, same bat channel
Me too. Batman and Robin, I am almost certain this show is why I’m gay.
Batman was IT when I was a kid in the 60s. I was eight when the series started. That intro music with the animated Batman running towards you always got me excited. You have a good memory if you remember what night of the week it aired. I just remembered that it came on two consecutive nights. _Lost In Spaces_ was like that too. Do you remember the very short-lived series called _Captain Nice?_ It starred William Daniels and lasted about 16 weeks from October 1966 to February 1967. It was supposed to be funny but it really stank. Captain Nice could fly in air but not like Superman. He had to flap his arms like a bird. He had a homemade costume that include striped boxer shorts worn on the outside. He was quite nerdy and lived with his mother.
As your young life, Batman was a part of my life. I wonder what kids will say about their lives and their heroes when they hit their 60s.
It's just AMAZING how, when Jill St. John puts on a mask and wig, her boobs disappear and she loses about 3 inches in height.
Even as a kid, what I didn't understand was the villains all had Batman and Robin unconscious at some point and never had the thought of, "Hey, let's pull his cowl off and find out who he is!" Instead, it's something like, "Let's put these two into a giant birthday cake filled with quicksand, walk away and leave them alone, and hope they can't figure out a way to foil the trap!"
It just boggles the mind!!!
Or just put a bullet in them and be done with it.
Did u notice that in robins green pants, there so tight u can see her gash!
@@Kaneseb Too easy.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
* Same thing every week on Man From U.N.C.L.E. 😗
When Adam West was living in Kellogg Idaho he was listed in the phone book as Batman,
I was too busy looking at the redhead to notice any of the bloopers in the episode.
That’s ok since there weren’t any
This was a really big influence in my young life in the 60's. I was impacted by the heronism of the caped crusaders and they really rocked. Love the Batmobile to this day. Good video and commentary. Thanks for sharing it, Rick.
Frank Gorshin was my 3rd cousin. Great bragging rights when I was a kid. I have some great photos with him and my brother in the late 60s at Batman’s height of popularity. True story.👍🏾
wicked story dude
he was awesome in 12 monkeys
When these came out in the 60s, we had black and white TV. I didn't even know about the red trim on the Bat Mobile until I saw the car in a ViewMaster disk I got for Christmas.
This was the first thing I ever saw on a color TV (1966) and I still remember how awesome that was!
Me too. I never saw the show in color until I bought season one a few years ago on DVD. I remember we did not even have DVDs or even Home Computers or laptops back then.
Funny, I had the GAF Viewmaster and I remember the Batman series.
@@tarasbulba3190 Whenever I see GAF, I'm reminded of Henry Fonda doing commercials for "gee yay eff" ;)
Batman was the first series on tv which was filmed in color.
I'm 50 years old and freaking loved this show! The other day when I left work I said to a girl I work with that's only 22 "see you tomorrow same bat time same bat channel." She had no idea what I was saying
I'm 21 and I love it!!! It's so cool how the show has spanned ages.
The most unbelievable scene in this entire show, was Robin fighting Kato to a draw...
Yes, I remember Kato fighting Robin to a draw. Originally, the Producers wanted Bruce Lee's KATO get beaten up by ROBIN. In real life, Bruce Lee had a temper-tantrum, got in his car, and drove off. Afterwards, tempers were over, THEN it was decided that both fights would be a draw. Bruce Lee later wanted to play a practical joke on Burt Ward: He pretended he was still mad at Burt Ward and was gonna really get him. Word had it Burt was so scared he peed in his pants !
Ok in the first one it's the angle that makes it look like the table is gone but if you look close enough you can see the circle of it on the floor
Yes I see it too
Yeah it’s clearly still there lol video fail right at the start.
The cirlcle is still there..yes
That made me always want a big garage with a turntable.
i saw that to
From 12 seconds to 15 seconds it looked like Batman shook Robin's hand, then punched him off the screen.
HOLY PUGILISM THAT CRACKED ME UP!!
Regarding #7 - The initial wider street is Avenue Of The Stars in Century City and the second location is on the Warner Bros backlot in Burbank.
Jill St. John was always a looker , I had a mad crush !
When I was a kid, I never noticed any bloopers. Now that I'm an adult, I don't care. It took me years to find out how all the villains were Hollywood greats. When you're 10 years old, who cared what an Emmy or Oscar was
We didn’t notice because we were watching 19” tv’s made with 60’s technology . It would be hard to see any goofs even if we were looking for them.
I vaguely remember watching Batman in originals but I loved it. One of the first series I remember. When your age is in the single digits you definitely don't notice the bloopers. It took me years to learn that Cesar Romero had been in all those Sonja Henie flicks. :)
This still remains the best Bat Man, so silly, so amusing, so harmless. Could not wait to switch on to see what the comic capers were up to, and the vilians were so colourful
I never viewed it as comical as a child. I remember my friend at day camp telling me his parents told him it was considered camp comedy, and defining it as so silly it's funny, and not getting it.
Thanks Rick for another fun video, I love bloopers!!
i've noticed some of the same props used in different episodes such as the giant pot , cauldron & the stuffed polar bear, what cracks me up is the bat computer of 1966 about 15 feet long could be replaced with one 5 inch smartphone of 2019
The polar bear was also used in the Addams Family set.
Always glad to see you. Just a nice break from the craziness of life . I miss the fun and honesty of the old days tv at one time was a place to get away from the day to to day. I miss that 😁.
Also notice that the Robin wig causes Molly to have a boy bod! Amazing!!!
That was a huge show, my neighbor ChanWhite had a Batman themed birthday party, 50 or so years ago. Complete with Batman haircuts for all.
Back in Macon Ga
jim s I had one too.... ‘67.. San Antonio Texas
What's a Batman haircut he wears a mask that covers his hair?
hydrolito My thought also...WTH is a “Batman” haircut?.
Dallas Tx 1966, no Batman haircuts at my 4-year Batman birthday party but I did get a three-wheel, cast body, peddle car Batmobile
I loved the bloopers Rick! The different colored batmobile was pretty interesting to see. Thanks for the video Rick! Can’t wait to see more Batman videos!
Nice work didn’t notice I grow up As a little kid in the 1980’s & I would come home & turn on the tv 📺 to BATMAN I miss those days.
Great stuff one of my favorite parts in Batman is every time they pull up in front of the commissioners office is a stock footage of one appearance they use for every episode. I like, waiting for the Man in the gray hat.
One time when Batman and Robin were slowly walking up the side of a building, the string that was keeping Robin's cape straight broke, ruining the illusion that they were walking vertically up the building.
Turntable is clearly still there you can see the circle.
I noticed that too.
Yeah I have to agree. The lighting from the second angle partially obscures the circle but it is there.
Yes becasue it's not **really** a turntable, it's just painted on the concrete. The lighting angle glare is washing it out.
Thank you for uploading this, I didn't even realize these bloopers!
The best dynamic duo ever to be on screen.
Biggest blooper = not enough catwoman.
@Sue Taft Yes ;)
@rick nineg:
There is one blooper that you apparently did not catch. It happened late in the show's second season, in "Pop! Goes The Joker". At the climax of the Batfight scene, The Joker punches Robin, which causes him to fall face-first into a mound of what I guess is pink modeling clay. As Robin tries to get up, his mask nearly falls off.
You're Awesome, Nick!!! Thanks A Lot For Your Great Videos!!! 👍👍👍
With all the crazy things going on, this is a nice little break from them. Thanks for the fun vid.
That’s what this channel is: a place for all to forget the world, enjoy, and reminisce
Love the Batman bloopers! I watched this show religiously as a kid. I never saw the Batmobile shadow after it had stopped off-set. Funny too, because it casts a pretty big shadow. Thanks!
Back then everything had knobs or switches,,
no one ever dreamed of a touch screen.
True, Except for Stanley Kubrick in 2001 A Space Odyssey looks like they have tablet computers, but then again they might not have been touch controlled...
Very good and entertaining video. Great catches on the bloopers. I remember watching these shows in reruns as a kid; good memories
Rick ...
Always funny and entertaining to watch your channel .
I remember watching the very first airing of bat man
And guess what , came on at 6pm and half way through the first airing of bat man , New York City had a black out that night !!!
Am 62 and remember that night like it was yesterday.... ( Wish It was lol ) ...
Thanks again Rick , love the channel , keep up the work !!.. great job !!!

I love Batman , Thanks for the bloopers 😃
When I was a kid, often I was at my Grandmas house when it would come on.
My grandma had one of those semi-operatic church singing voice.
She would always sing along to the Theme song to me.
It was funny, but also, she had a good singing voice, too.😁
📻🙂
Rick, love ur vids! I'm addicted. Please keep them coming. 👍
Great catch on the Batmobile bloopers.
These are not bloopers, they are "Continuity" mistakes.
lol, so true
The definition of a blooper is an embarrassing error, or a brief television or radio segment containing a humorous error, often collected with others for broadcast as a group.
These were error, some humorous, and others possibly embarrassing to those involved, and as such are bloopers.
Continuity bloopers. Edit bloopers.
A blooper by any other name.
That guy has no life
Agreed
Well Done as Usual Rick !! Love it !!
Thank you, Rick, for a very Fun and Entertaining Blooper video!
Awesome catches Rick. Molly is played by the gorgeous Jill St. John.
If I was Batman: "Sorry Dick, but I've decided to keep Molly as Robin permanently, without the wig."
@@HariSeldon913 I know. I get the comic-book conceit of a mask fooling everybody. But the pictures of Jill in the dresses show that you could not disguise Jill's lovely bosom.
@@tygrkhat4087 And the crotch profile doesn't quite match either.
When they shot the Riddler pilot, the bookcase in the study that concealed the Batpoles did not yet have a frame around it. The frame was added for all subsequent series episodes. But in the episodes "The Joker Is Wild" and "Zelda the Great", for a shot of the bookcase sliding open to reveal the Batpoles, they use a stock shot of the frameless bookcase from the pilot.
Also, at the end of "The Purr-fect Crime", when Batman has to choose between left and right doors for the lady or the tiger, he clearly presses the button for the door on the right. We then see a door sliding open revealing a tiger; but when the tiger leaps out of the room you can see that the wall space between the doors is to the RIGHT of the open door, meaning that the open door is the one on the LEFT, even though he chose the door on the RIGHT.
love your vids Rick and you remain a hotty on RUclips!!!
The entire series was one big blooper 🥰
Only Adam West could portray Batman with dignity & panache. All the other Batmen are merely portrayers, posers & pretenders.
Pale shadows of the TRUE Batman! 🌕🦇
🌌🔭
More fun stuff. Thanks Rick!
I remember being 3 and getting up and getting on the couch and watching this show and I thought it was awesome. Our house was on a lake and it was really beautiful. Good times
Same Bat-time! Same Bat-channel!
Cool video thanks for sharing
Rick-where was the elephant’s gas mask?!! Cruelty to animals!! 😝 Lol
Hey Rick
I have an answer for the last blooper;
"Because he is Batman."...haha😉🦇
Really liking your Batman series.
I also really like how you title all of your different show bloopers, as ones we "may" not have seen. 🙂
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving.
Take care.
Actually that is the same car before it was painted, that car (1955 Lincoln futura) was heavily modified from a drawing . They brought it to set before it was painted to make sure producers liked it
i never noticed those! but when i watched the series the first time, i wasn’t looking for bloopers.
well done and documented!
I love your videos Rick. I used to watch these shows when I was a kid
Looks more like your digging hard to find a blooper then the fact is that it's about continuity issues! I was waiting next to hear how could batman possibly have all those gadgets in his utility belt ! It was a based on a comic book character.
Many times in the batcave when they needed a new piece of equipment they would put a different sign on the same prop.
Great show thanks ! - I'm old enough to say I saw these Batman shows 1st time around - And thanks to you when I'm showing my grandsons (age 5 & 6 & both huge Batman fans I - funnily same age I was ? ) - my Batman Dvds I can point these bloopers out -Thankyou SB - British Isles
I love the blooper videos!🤘
fun bloopers!
When I was a little kid this was my fav.... thought it was high tech and awesome... when I watch it now it is funnier than any comedy on tv... lol
I used to get mad @ my parents for laughing at it. I mean, Batman & Robin are tied up & suspended above boiling oil & you're laughing?!
I am so old that I saw the original Batman movie in my local theatre in 1967 as a matinee.
Thanks for doing this I will check it out on Saturdays on ifc.
I actually saw up close that "flat black" Batmobile at a car show in Philadelphia, PA MANY years ago. It was actually some type of short fuzzy material that covered the whole body. I remember wondering why it wasn't the glossy black car seen in the series. By the time it was displayed in the show, it was looking pretty rough. I believe this was also the same show where Adam West was and he had his arm in a cast!
I’ve read that the car was initially painted flat back and used in test shots. Then for the show, it had been painted gloss black with all the familiar stripes. After production ended, Barris brought the car on tour and at some point had that black fuzz applied to stop all the handprints on the gloss paint.
Watching the Green hornet, the scene was in the bad guys hideout and they were watching Batman....that made me wonder why doesn't everyone know Bruce Wayne and batman are the same?
Could have sworn it was at Britt Reid's house that Batman was on his tv. Then The Green Hornet and Kato came to Gotham City to stop Col. Gum with Batman and Robin's help.
Maybe that was it....
An odd remnant of the Golden Age of Comics. The character Wildcat was inspired to become a costumed crimefighter after reading a Green Lanter comic book. Wildcat later joined the Justice Society beside Green Lantern.
@@josephhinkofer5995 - You're both right. There are two instances on the Green Hornet when we see the "Batman" show on TV. In the episode "The Secret of the Sally Bell", villains are watching Batman on TV in their hideout. The other instance was in "Ace In The Hole" where we see Batman and Robin on TV doing a Bat-Climb as Kato changes channel to see the CCTV feed of Mike Axeford held captive in the basement of Britt Reids apartment.
Thank you again.
Thank you so much !!!!
This TV Series use to show before Hogan's Hero's on Channel 10 (in Queensland in Australia) in the afternoon after school for a number of years. Now of course it is a classic but I always loved their "wall climbing" LOL.
I remember when Batman was a Channel 7 show in Brisbane.
@@JBofBrisbane WOW
I was always to understand there were several Batmobiles used throughout the series, each one having stock footage. Was it 5 or 7 Batmobiles in the whole Bat series? Anyone remember?
Other bits and pieces of the Batcave set were used in other TV series too, Like Lost In Space and some of the other Irwin Allen TV shows.
Great video..i loved watching this show when i was little 🙂
Fav show from way back. Thanks for interesting vid.
We didn't have vcrs or dvrs back then, you watched it then it was gone
They still do reruns on Saturday mornings on MeTV.
I love your videos brother. I was just wondering if you’ve ever watched the Disney Zorro show with Guy Williams. I’d love to see your spin on that show!!!
I love Batman thanks for the great video Rick 👍✌💕
Thanks for the laughs. It was interesting to see those.
Would love to see a video on the guy who designed the batmobile.
That man was George Barris and there are many you tube videos about him and his creations.
It was made from the Lincoln Futura concept car and later George Barris turned it into the Batmobile. George Barris also made some molds of the Futura which go for a ton of money.
The car was used in the movie " it started with a kiss" 1959
So many fun Futura facts.
@@protitus Like Barris taking credit for things the Fox studio effects guys built onto the car?
..."Batmobile broke a wheel, and the Joker got away"... I am Positive that Batman and Robin will prevail again.
The Batmobiles been at antique shows the seats are made for 10 yr olds
One episode where penguins cigarette ashes fall on his suit . A split second later his suit is clean.
0:14 looks like Batman just shook Robin’s hand and then immediately punched him.
These are more continuity issues than bloooers.
Depends what the hell a “bloooer” is. :)
Do the bat boat, it was built in Austin TX where I worked at Glastron, they also built the boats in James Bond movie "Live and Let Die
i was 8 years old in 1966, catching bad edits was something my dad did, i just loved watching and now at 64 i still do👀
The only reason you can see these bloopers is because you're watching on a high definition TV the old TVs from the 60s and 70s you wouldn't see any of those bloopers so they're not really bloopers you're watching on a high definition TV
My main interest was the Batmobile. Even at age 11, the show was campy to me.
Analyzing fun @ age 11. I feel sorry for you.
Incredible mask, it made her hips and chest change too.
Loved it!! I may have to go back through those episodes on DVD to see if it shows the bloopers.
You should and you’ll laugh when you see them! 😎
Very cool!!! Thanks for posting this. My friend's son, five year old Christopher, loved this show! However, I sincerely doubt he noticed any of these bloopers!!!! Lol!!!
Never watched the Batman series... Guess it was before my time. But this was still an interesting video. Thank you.
Sometimes MeTV will show episodes of this Batman series. Just watch for it.
There was no actual turn table. It was a gimble put in between scenes to make the bat mobile look like it was automatically turning.
AWESOME VIDEO THANK YOU 😊😊😊😊
Always a pleasure to watch your videos, Rick.
It is always a pleasure that you watch my videos. Thank you so much
Can we get a shout out for Burt Ward, posing with his hand on his hip, like he's a woman?
He was acting?
The boy makes me wonder, lol
LOL!!!
I always assumed he was gay until a few months ago when I read a story about him and his wife.
How is that in any way admirable?
Great job as usual Rick! In blooper 4, I noticed the graffiti on the column next to Robin. One name in particular stands out: Dave Welch. Any info on who that is in relation to the show?
I don’t care about the bloopers, the Batmobile is the coolest car ever built.
I see your point but come on, man...it was Batman in the 60s. It was meant to be quirky. Great eye though
