Lorsqu'un Homme brille de par son talent et ses capacités intellectuelles et émotionnelles, l'aspect physique n'a alors plus aucune importance, aussi bien à ses yeux qu'à ceux qui le regardent. Mr Petrucciani faisait bien évidemment partie de ceux-là. C'est incroyable le plaisir que me procure sa musique en l'écoutant. Quel Artiste !

Io sono un appassionato d'opera lirica, ma devo dire che di fronte ad un tale mostro di bravura si resta davvero con la bocca aperta. Petrucciani ha un senso del ritmo che è semplicemente trascendentale, gioca coi tempi forti e deboli delle battute in un modo che davvero ha del disumano; la dinamica delle dita è infallibile, quando ripete gli stessi gruppi di note è di una precisione assoluta. Raramente ho sentito un musicista così dotato. Riesce a far apprezzare il jazz perfino a me. Genio.
Ero troppo piccolo per capire chi fosse lui quando morì,ma ora che l'ho scoperto ho capito che l'umanità ha perso uno tra i più grandi artisti della musica. Che note sublimi!
Si intuisce subito che l'hai scritto con sincerità. Anch'io lo apprezzo tantissimo. La sua musica lo rendeva bellissimo, affascinante. Non sono gay ma pero, posso quasi dirti che lo amo di un'amore platonico. La sua musica è gioia! E' speranza! E' pace! E' liberta! In questo momento, la sto ascoltando. Putting the obvious charm of this particular performance aside, I am personally astonished by the emotional strength of this composition in spite of its relative structural simplicity. Yes, the bridge is odd, but the A sections have a standard harmony with the most obvious chords one can imagine. Yet the notes put on those chords, their time placement (and the careful little displacements he puts in the performance) denote a phenomenal compositional mind putting beauty and emotion ahead of everything. Playing this composition on the piano gave me hours of ecstasy, and everybody listening seems to like it, with a really minimal effort to learn it. What an amazing person He has been!
