- Testing 6 LEGO Technic tires on various surfaces, such as sand, glass, grass, etc.
The main goal is to find out which tires are most suitable for a particular surface. For the test I use AWD car with 4 speed gearbox and central diff blocking mechanism, which I will also build in this video.
I use a PS4 gamepad to control the car and use a digital scale as a measuring device.
The final results are quite interesting, I think.
When I had the idea to test LEGO tires, I thought there was nothing special here. Larger tire, larger contact patch, better results. But, I forgot about the weight of the tires...
Surfaces:
1. Wood. Untreated 6-layer plywood.
2. Glass.
3. Grass. Artificial lawn, imitation of real grass.
4. Stones. River pebbles, 5-10 mm.
5. Sand. River white quartz sand, 0.8-1.2 mm.

Had a lot of fun making this video, well, maybe except for the sand part, it's a total nightmare. Sand is everywhere, even after complete cleaning it still gets under your feet. Appears out of nowhere😆 Besides, sand is not the best choice for Lego, several axles, gears and the rear differential are damaged.
Hope it was worth it, enjoy!
Worth every second.
Did you see the one brick Science did?
It was worth the time
I just don't get why these videos that take a lot of time get little views, while the short tikitoks go viral
I loved the part when the cars touched grass
Because I couldn't

larger the tire higher the gear then the torque is too low. The winch needs to be lower. I like the way you make videos and this rig is very nice.
I love that it's exactly what you'd expect, smoother tires work better on smoother surfaces and rougher tires work better on rougher surfaces.
It's not just the roughness, it's also the crown on the tread and the stiffness of the compound. Either the surface or the tire has to conform for maximum traction. Crowned tires did well in the softer surfaces
I love the tractor pull-style wheelies in Low-gear 😂
I love the editing and the build, very nice.
I really want to see how long it takes to smooth out all four tires from just driving on a treadmill
I love this work, beautiful and very long to do.
I have the feel that the different wheels were not fully compared because the vehicule lacked torque, all wheel keeping rotating and sleeping with the vehicule stopped by the wire would be more precise.
It would have been so much more informative if it had more power to move the bigger wheels… fail testing.
i love LEGO Tire 107 x 44r
You could have put more weight on the front for better grip.
Where do you buy all your stuff ?
I love your videos, high quality and relaxing to watch. What camera do you use?
I'm glad you like it. for this video g80 with 25mm lens
What means the red blinkimg light
Towing is all about traction. You won't get much traction if the car was too light or its weight was unevenly distributed. You might get better results if you add some weight to the front so that it doesn't pull wheelies.
Part of it is also that the winch is located too high above the plane of the axles. If the winch were mounted lowe than the axles it would actively push the front tires into the ground, thereby increasing the traction.
Wow
I love this channel!
whats the L gear?
this is a downshift, that is, l gear is a low gear
love the lego
