I have two toes missing from my left foot and Charcots in my right foot. I went to Guest Services and asked for a disability pass. They told me yo rent a wherlchair. I asked who would push me since I was at the park alone. Then they gave me the pass. You almost have to fight to get the disability pass. By the way, at Sea World and Buach Gardens, they gave me the handicapped pass, no questions asked.
I took my daughter to Universal Studios California and it was so bad I cussed out an employee, a manager, and a guest services employee. I described my daughter's condition and limits to the employees at the entrance of every ride we wanted to go on. They all said oh she'll be fine to get on the ride. We walked through the line got to the ride and got rejected from getting on the ride 7 separate times. Each time my daughter cried and I'd have to have a heart to heart with her and walk back through the line to get out. I flipped out on the the last employee that rejected us and he got a manager and security to come over. I flipped out on them, they escorted us to guest services. Guest Services at first took forever to admit fault and finally gave us our money back. We will never go to universal studios again. So sorry you had a similar experience, I know it hurts and is humiliating. I would of cussed them out for you too, have a great day Charisse.
Send them this video. So awful. We will never go back there. We went one time when my kids were little and I had a stroller for them. Since then we have been to Disney several times and for the first time in 2018 I used the Disney disability pass. At 38 years old getting around especially long distances is getting more difficult. My kids are older teens now so I had my walker with me. My husband would push me around for the most part after the first day. I had no problems at all with Disney every one was helpful and kind. I will probably rent a scooter the next time I go to Disney. I cannot get on Space Mountain without being helped in and out but my family (other than me wanted to ride) I told the cast member that and still got a time. I just went in with them to see if they had changed the ride vehicle any and they have not. So the cast member was very helpful and escorted me to where you get off the ride. That's the only ride that I don't ride. They do stop most moving rides for me to get on and that is nice too.
Those rich people pulling the disability pass scam are utter pricks. Isn't that fraud or something? Can't they be charged with some kind of offence at least? Goddamn people taking advantage of those with disabilities makes me mad.
