I'm an old diver dude so I have always loved the classic diver like your original Tag and the Rolex Submariner. I am also fascinated at the skill that goes into beautiful mechanical watches and I actually had a Submariner years ago. Having said all that, I like accuracy, and my go to watch is a Citizen, Eco Pro, Diver. It's dead accurate, runs on solar power, is a rugged practical watch that I use diving as well as every day, and runs about $250 CDN. If I was ever tempted into the luxury watch arena again I think I would go for the Grand Seiko, Spring Drive. Thanks for another entertaining video sir.
Hey Kym - you should have concluded with your magnificent "watch vault"! I'm jealous not only by the number of beautiful watches in your collection, but because it automatically winds them for you! I don't always wear my TAG and therefore, it stops all the time. I am constantly setting and winding it - often having to reset the date too! Next time I'll get a battery operated one!
Get one of the automatic movers for watches, not sure the price point, but it’s like a small box which spins your watch, my dad has it for the ones he doesn’t wear often.
This is my groove, watches. Noway do I pay A.D. prices and forget waiting for a Rolex. In my collection, a gold Day Date President and a standard black face Datejust. a quarter of the price paid buying watches at estate sales or pawn shops. Both Rolexes not working when purchased, tear down and rebuilds, the Datejust came in a zip baggy in pieces, owner died in a motorcycle accident wearing the watch. New case, new back cover, new bezel, new crystal, new escapment wheel and its jewels replaced. Expensive in parts, but looks and runs like new. I never know what I will find walking into an estate auction or pawn shop, but that is half the fun finding bargains.
We don't know what agreement Mercedes have with IWC. That could impact future relations between Mick and other timepiece brands. As far as I know, OMEGA is much more engaged in aquatics these days as they are the official timekeeping partner.of World Aquatics.
Nice video about some really nice watches. I don't where a watch because I always have phone with me. Anything with a GPS function has to have the exact time to work.
When you're traveling abroad and shot images with the DSLR, what Date and Time does the camera metadata use? is it local time or is there any default time zone?
Maybe some drivers are not into watches and just wear them to please sponsors. However, it does not see, to be case of Hulk. He has himself an Audemars Piguet and a Rolex Daytona. So, it is someone who clearly collects them.
You'd think a watch with fitness tracker functionality is better fit for these athletes. Doesn't even need to be full smartwatch or connected all the time, just basic ones would suffice. Heck, for just time keeping with durability in mind, astronauts and soldiers often just settled with simple G-Shock that can be found less than $100. These luxury brands are only good to wear strutting around the paddock.
Haas had Cyrus last year, a Swiss maker, they even made some special watches for the team. I think the partnership ended but they still follow each others sm handles. They still sponsor Pietro Fittipaldi though.
I wear my Casio G-Shock Solar almost everyday. Super accurate as it is synched with the Atomic clock and also it is unbreakable 😂. I don't want some good looking girl at a Bar take me to a hotel, drug me out and steal my Relax 😀. It happened so many unlucky guys as they though they getting lucky. Especially in Miami and LA.
I would go crazy if I'd wear a watch which doesn't show the correct time. Even if it is just as marketing I would instinctively check my watch out of habit 🤔
Just nitpicking honestly. Rolex' full name is Rolex SA, SA meaning "public limited company". They are for-profit but they are owned by a private non profit foundation:)
Rolex is not for profit but they still pay the ceo’s exuberant salaries. They dont need to disclose salaries by law because its a ‘non-profit’. A Swiss sham.
“A nonprofit organization (NPO) or non-profit organization, also known as a non-business entity, not-for-profit organization, or nonprofit institution, is a legal entity organized and operated for a collective, public or social benefit, in contrast with an entity that operates as a business aiming to generate a profit for its owners.”
Nearly all of these watches are mechanical (automatic). So if they are not worn regularly then they stop. I’m surprised as many were correct as there were.
I like the ultra thin Richard Mill but I agree not the best looking with the rectangle face IWC prob my favorite but the Tag Tauer ones are very reasonably priced
I don’t wear watches at all .. i got 3,800 $ watch for my 40th bday … i think i left it in a company car and I didn’t remember i had lost it till like 2 months later when i met the person who gifted it to me 😂
Rolex is owned by the Wilsdorf Foundation, a charity. Once all expenses are paid, Rolex forwards all the left-over money to Wilsdorf and thus they end with 0 below the line making them non-profit.
My dad is the only person I know, male or female, who still legitimately wears a watch every single day. I haven't worn one since I was in management. I remember you used to give a young man a watch when he "became a man" or got married, but these days most would say, they have their cell phone.
Somewhere, the relationship manager for some of these watch brands are furiously sending abusive WhatsApp messages to their contacts who are supposed to set the time on these watches
I retired 12 years ago and haven't worn a watch since. Before my retirement I wore orange faced Seiko watches which I started wearing when I worked in a ski resort in California in 1971.
I'm always amazed that a low end watch company like Timex or Seiko hasn't been brought onboard by a team for free to show the world, we are not a team not of snobby elitists (which the sport has become) but of the common spectator. It would be good PR. Just an idea Haas.
"like the sport has become." It's the identity of the sport and always has been. "Elitism" as you call it like it's a bad thing, builds value in a brand.
I've got a very cool watch, propably cooler than any of these. I acquired it a few years ago from Italy. Omega Speedmaster mk40, it was gifted by Michael to one of the ferrari team members back in 1996.
The “time check” segment was hilariously original Kym 😆
He's done it before. It's a good time. Really ticks the boxes. I enjoyed watching it.
(I apologise for my dreadful watch puns)
I love Kym’s videos! Not only are they incredibly beautiful and in-depth, but they almost make you feel like you’re there in the Paddock
Glad you’re on board with me, Niko
"No God Tier watches ? This is unacceptable" as Nico would say
Thanks Kym, F1 and Watches. My favourite subjects :)
Glad to be lumped in with F1 and watches.
Great video Kym! I have an old Tag Heuer and still works. I was told it's now a collectors item.
Heuers are collectable. If it says tag is a sheeter
@@BobbyDazzler888 Didn't you guys lip synch or something?
Girard Perregaux watches are the nicest and the best ones of the watch sponsors
Going to need another video about the f1 drivers sunglasses as well. Great video kym as always!
I LOVE IT WHEN YOU DO THESE WATCH VIDEOS KYM.
Music to my ears

It’s called a watch winder
It probably needs a service, but like the other comment said - those automatic winding boxes would probably help
an automatic watch winder should be reasonably priced these days
This video is right up my alley. Thanks!
Good news, Richard
“And the price, A LOT” lol😂
So enjoyable fun to WATCH this video!! Yes pun intended! Hope to run into you sometime soon at an F1 race Kym!!
With the amount of incidents Haas drivers are stereotyped to get into - I'd love to see them sponsored by G-Shock
Wristwatch and F1-related content. Great combination.
Many thanks
Great !! It was much better than recently uploaded clip by “watch experts” about F1 and watches. Well done
Glad you liked it!
Good Stuff, love the different subject
More to come!
Kym Illman live from the “Love Shack.” 👌🏻
2:27 The yellow hands on Lance's watch look like they are close to the correct time.
TY😊
Invicta is title sponsor for F2 this year. Quite a contrast.

Great one Kym - what do you think of the DIY watches like DIY watch club - for me I'm looking particularly at the skeleton style
I’ve never heard of them
Thankss kym ❣️
Lol I bet those Ocon signed prints are flying off the press 😂
I wear an OMEGA Speedmaster Racing. Michael Schumacher was an OMEGA ambassador back in the 2000's, I hope Mick can be one too!

J Stewart to show his Rolex he has his shirts and jacket sleeves made shorter on his left arm. True
I purchased a few prints from Kym last year, including a signed print, and they are very nice.
Great content Kym.

As always, yet another great video
Casually exposing half the grids watches time is hilarious keep it ip kym
Mark Webber and Nico Rosberg are also Rolex ambassadors.
And here I am happy with a 35 dollar timex.
Loved the video kym
Let’s see your collection!
Have a look at the video I did on them a couple of years ago
after geting my 1st automatic watch i understand why so many drivers have wrong hour on watch don't wear it for 3 or 4 days and it's stops
I assume the Hulk’s Rolex is his Le Mans watch from his win with Porsche.
I will ask him next time, I see him
Hi Kym, will you be doing a meet and greet in Miami?
Yes I am!
Haas used to have Cyrus Watches sponsoring them last year
Correct, I featured them in last years video
Pierre Gasly used to wear Hublots when he was at Alpha Tauri after Casio left.
Andy has a couple more timepieces as well
bremont is underrated
Oh first view Kym!
Liked the video, but to be honest, I'll never get the fascination with watches
Nico Leonard would like this video
2am in Melbourne
I mean as much as they travel, I don’t blame em
Still waiting for Rolex Daytona for almost 5 years.
Must be a compensation thing... 😏
I would go crazy if I'd wear a watch which doesn't show the correct time. Even if it is just as marketing I would instinctively check my watch out of habit 🤔
I guess I'm not the target market having not worm a watch for 35+ years.
Just nitpicking honestly.

The dry humor is refreshing.
Thanks for noticing
well, if all the watches here are quartz then we don't see this hillarious "time check" 😂
Nearly all of these watches are mechanical (automatic). So if they are not worn regularly then they stop. I’m surprised as many were correct as there were.
I heard Haas will be sponsored by Hourglass next season 😂.
Bernie can tell you that wearing expensive watches may induce severe injury.
Max needs to use TAG Heuer while inside the race venue but in his private life he is an avid Rolex fan. 🤫
So I believe

Breitling!
Tag Heuer sponsored McLaren not Williams
im a peasant. i wear casio gshock. $99 usd lol.
Another feather in your cap Kym keep up the tempo of information to souls like us who are home driven cheers.Gowra
Thanks, will do!
Im happy with my £24.99 casio, thank you very much.
Cant believe the stupid prices these watches go for.
Tag definitely don’t make the cheapest tourbillons. You should look into the brand Frederique Constant.
They have a cheaper one?

The Daytona 6263 is about 600k.
Someone tag Nico Leonard.
At least Hublot isn't associated with F1 anymore
Just don't get the appeal of Richard Mille, they just don't look like the price they command. Some classy watches though on the grid
I find it hard to believe rolex is non profit
Rolex is owned by the Wilsdorf Foundation, a charity. Once all expenses are paid, Rolex forwards all the left-over money to Wilsdorf and thus they end with 0 below the line making them non-profit.
Will never understand the Richard mille hype or how anyone can justify paying thousands and thousands of money for some watches in general
cool video! it seems the higher the price goes, the more disgusting the watch becomes haha
You'd think they'd wear gmt watches
Not many of them wear these watches away from the track though
Audemars… the S is silent…
Got way too much time on your hands kim to do this kind of research 😂
Kym, the man who watches the watches...
But who watches the Watchmen. 🤔
KYM .... be aware ... I'm watching YOU!
Do you even watch it bro?
Williams?....invicta

Irony is no driver is allowed to wear a watch in the car. Its a safety hazard. One has the image on a watch on their glove...
Grosjean used to always wear his watch
Why my man spell it Alpha TOWERY in the timeline?
What?
