Hi for others with Equi Trek trailers/box (or thinking about buying one new or pre-owned) a few tips. Don't use a brush when washing over the graphics on the outside of the trailer as it lifts the corners and they start to peel off. Also yes you need curtains if you are staying away in it. Curtains also useful if your trailer/ box is parked away from home to keep out prying (read thieving eyes). Equi Trek offer the curtains option option when new or you can fit your own but they need to be made of flame retardant fabric as you have a gas cooker. Thetford Seal Lubricant silicone spray for all trailer rubber window and door seals (recommended to me by motor home dealer). Also recommended is a fire blanket and a fire extinguisher fitted in the living area. All this will help when you come to sell it on. Also make sure it is serviced annually (book stamped) and tyres looked after/replced when needed. A well looked after trailer = better price when you come to sell it. I sold my Show Treka M after 10 years for nearly what I paid for it. Hope this helps others.
I’ve been waiting for this!!😍 I did wonder about the curtains actually, and I’m pretty sure that you can get stick on curtains/blinds. Tina, you should get a pool noodle and cut it in half and then slide them onto the saddle racks. Stops the saddles from slipping if you have saddles with slightly wider gullets. I was just catching up on the show jumping on discovery +. But I've not sound. And then you tube said Tina had uploaded a you tube video. And here I am. X
Tina: horses travel better backwards Me: my horse disproved that theory. We had to hire a 3.5 tonne to travel 4 hours to Scotland because my sister took the 18 tonne somewhere else. He didn’t travel well. He is a good traveler but he didn’t settle. He is a sensible bean.
Wow I didn't know it was a legal requirement for the horses to have a light on if driving at night, it makes sense when you think about it but also something that needs to be taught more. Love ur trailer though, its so practical and I love the colors. Great vlog and can't wait to see what you're all up to, have fun 💟💟💟

I ordered a new one and can't wait to get it in a few more weeks ( taking ages lol) , so this was a little teaser for me, I went 2 lockers and curtains- plus saddle racks,, mainly because on livery so no storage, does yours have a leisure battery? i assumed they all came with that ? may need to relook, its lovely, I hope the show went well, I cant wait, I have sold my lovely show trecka
I do love these so much! ❤️ I have been seriously considering getting one, but I can’t bring myself to sell my 1985 Landy in order to get a better tow car (Laura Landy has no power steering, the turning circle of a supertanker, mpg in the teens a lot of the time, and a top speed of 50mph downhill with the wind behind her thanks to the original 12J n/a engine. 🤣) I am going to get a lorry instead because I do want transport once we move. 😃 xx
I just got my first equitrek day trekka. I love it. Do you regularly wash out the inside? Also, have you found your divider pin in the horse area ever bounced out? I drove mine today for the first time and the pin bounced out so the divider was flapping around.
I’ve been trying a variety of their trailers/lorry’s over the years. Still can highly recommend this trailer with the accommodation, It’s fab. I know longer have a towing vehicle so have a 3.5t Equitrek at the moment.Xx
do you know if the breastbars come padded? how much was the trailer? whats the gross weight of the trailer? could it be towed with a suv? have you looked into the Boeckman as well before deciding?
