I remember kids making fun about it in school, 2nd or 3rd grade, years before any official education or "the talk" happened. Little mockeries like: "You wouldn't even know where to stick it.". So awareness happens years before knowledge. All pretty harmless though. It's not like anybody considered actually trying anything. That was about 30 years ago. Let's be honest: Kindergarten and school mates is how you hear (not learn) about most things first. So it's good that things get cleared up early nowadays (3rd grade school subject in my son's case) before anything too wrong gets manifested through rumors. It's not like anbody is "advertising" anything they're not already making jokes about anyway. In my day we only learned about this stuff only in 7th grade which is a close match given that 14 to 15 is when the first boyfriends and girlfriends happen. By then they better know how to not get pregnant or catch a disease because they ARE trying things, whether we like it or not.
@@prnst4r You are absolutely right. I was going by the perceived general average in my geographic area. It may be later or earlier in different regions, although in the western world it seems to be trending earlier and earlier.

My mom was definitely scared. I remember I asked her when I was 4 what a menstrual cycle was and instead of answering my simple question she just said I’ll tell you later and I forgot. If I ever have a child that is not what I am going to do. I don’t think she was necessarily trying to avoid the subject because it was taboo but because for one thing she didn’t know how to talk to me about it and for another she was confused as to why a four year old was asking her that. Also I think it’s important to talk to children of all ages about sex and consent in an age appropriate manner because people are evil and porn is a thing. A thing that should be avoided because of the amount of non-consenting people involved. But when are parents going to talk about that instead of shaming their children? I’m only 17 and everything I know is thanks to teachers, books, and the Internet. I’ve never really had a true conversation about literally anything related to sex or dating with my mom. That always angers me because that’s why I’ve had bad experiences when dating and that’s why I had an almost terrifying encounter with someone close to us. Thankfully now I know more and I’m grateful but I hope more people wake up to the reality that sexual education is important.
I had a lot of talks about sex with my mom. I'm glad she took care of it the way she did since my sex life has been as safe and responsible as it possibly can be.
I was disgusted by the idea of sex for my entire childhood & adolescence until I was 17 and then bam a switch changed and it wasn’t gross anymore. I wish there would’ve been a way to be educated properly at that point, rather than earlier when I just wrote everything off as “eww, I’m never gonna do that”

It is so sad that some parts of America are still having this "education" like... "don't have sex" and that's all. Like... why the heck not?! It is the most beautiful thing you can experience when growing up, why would you keep your children from experiencing that just because you might be uncomfortable talking about it?
1:29 I never received The Talk, I learned from Google and the basics in school when I was 10 years old I only understood what was that when I was 12, all because fanfiction this is the longest text in english I've ever writ, it must have a lot of errors ;-;
I still think it's easiest and the least awkward for everyone if you tell kids really young I learned it at 3 when my sister was on the way and I wanted to know how. They also told me that sex is also for pleasure and just answered my questions I don't remember the conversation and I also don't remember not knowing. It shouldn't be on sit down talk it should just be gradual and you include more and more as it comes up and as they grow up. And schools should do better too.
@@edgar9739 right from the beginning. It's a slow process. There are things in school that we must be learning about our body, behaviours, sex and a lot more
For the Europeans that come across your comment actually curious to know... In America public school is Kindergarten through 12th grade or "K through 12" and typically children are 5 years old when they start Kindergarten, Elementary school are grades 1-5 and usually children are age 6-10, Middle school are grades 6-8 with students 11-13 years old, and high school are 14-18 year-old students in grades 9-12 in the majority of states. So, the first boy that said "5th Grade" means he was about 10, the boy that said "2nd Grade" was around 7, the girl after him that said "3rd Grade" was about 8, and you simply add 5 to the number of the Grade mentioned to get the general age. When I was growing up the maximum times you could be held back for failing you grade was twice and depending on your birthday you might start school 1 year "late" (one of my friends is only 37 days older than I am, but she was one grade ahead of me) so a "5th Grader" could actually be between 10-13, but since schools don't like to hold students back a grade (it makes the school look bad) it's rare to have students at the higher end of the age range for their grade level and typically a "5th grader" is 10 years old, sometimes 11, and rarely 12 or 13 years old.
I got caught watching the Spice Channel when I was 5. My parents laughed at me. They still laugh at me 20 years later. I never got the talk. I just figured that sex had something to do with being naked and a bed. Then as teen I learned it doesn't have to be a bed.
why are people so embarrassed to talk about it? It has also become embarrassing to me because it is to others, and I don’t think that’s right. How to coming and talk about this at all, how to educate myself ? I think this is a big problem even though I am aware that I am a part of it because of the society I live in and which has taught me that it is embarrassing even though it should not be. I'm actually scared in a way when sex comes to me how I'm going to react and how to be relaxed at all when unfortunately you feel like you're doing something dirty.

It is so sad that some parts of America are still having this "education" like... "don't have sex" and that's all.
Like... why the heck not?! It is the most beautiful thing you can experience when growing up, why would you keep your children from experiencing that just because you might be uncomfortable talking about it?
And that's how teen pregnancies happen they are not giving the proper tools or advice
Exactly!
My beautiful? Agree to disagree
It’s only that way in marriage. It’s sinful outside of wedlock
@@joshuawilliams2487 Just crawl back into your cave and stop telling others about your beliefs.
1:29 I never received The Talk, I learned from Google and the basics in school when I was 10 years old
I only understood what was that when I was 12, all because fanfiction
this is the longest text in english I've ever writ, it must have a lot of errors ;-;
@@lesyeuxsansvisage1157 thanks
I still think it's easiest and the least awkward for everyone if you tell kids really young I learned it at 3 when my sister was on the way and I wanted to know how. They also told me that sex is also for pleasure and just answered my questions I don't remember the conversation and I also don't remember not knowing. It shouldn't be on sit down talk it should just be gradual and you include more and more as it comes up and as they grow up. And schools should do better too.
idk why this channel has 10M subs but the comments look like it came from a small channel
1:29 “fan-fiction” I FEEL YA
Omg yeah the Larry ones😭🖐
3:50 is the cutest guy ive ever seen.
dude i SWEAR the guy in the beginning with the pink crewneck is the one from the “fish girl” video
Lack of right sex education at the right age leads to such void answers.
What’s the right age?
@@edgar9739 right from the beginning. It's a slow process. There are things in school that we must be learning about our body, behaviours, sex and a lot more
"how was that?" "i cried"💀
"Not intersted in their sex life so i dont think they should be intersted in mine" LITTERLY MEEE
americans : " i was in … grade"
europeans : WHAT DOES IT MEANS ??
That one blonde guy with Scaled and icy T-shirt, I love your music taste, man! |-/
In 4th grade my friends knew everything.
Fr looking back those 9 and 10 year olds knew what they were talking about. It's concerning
I also didn’t want to sleep in the same bed as my sisters.
ruclips.net/video/VOausd1O11c/видео.html😂😂🤣
I got caught watching the Spice Channel when I was 5. My parents laughed at me. They still laugh at me 20 years later. I never got the talk. I just figured that sex had something to do with being naked and a bed. Then as teen I learned it doesn't have to be a bed.
I’m sorry but that was hilarious
That girl that said fan fiction. I feel you👉🏻😂
Bts and Larry fan fics for me💀
These are some mature looking teens 😳😳
why are people so embarrassed to talk about it? It has also become embarrassing to me because it is to others, and I don’t think that’s right.
How to coming and talk about this at all, how to educate myself ? I think this is a big problem even though I am aware that I am a part of it because of the society I live in and which has taught me that it is embarrassing even though it should not be.
I'm actually scared in a way when sex comes to me how I'm going to react and how to be relaxed at all when unfortunately you feel like you're doing something dirty.
Exactly suppressing people is the wierd thing not sex.
@@SpeedyGarciaReborn yes, people are not given freedom. although I am not an advocate of sex on all sides. i think it really has to be with the person we love
@@a.m4009 what do you mean by not an advocate for sex on all sides
@@kunpunko I am not a person who will meet a boyfriend and sleep with him on the first night or after a few days. a lot of people I know who do it often with different partners because they only care about sex and not about some deeper emotions
people were chuckling everytime pp was brought up so the whole class had to chant it very loud
LMAO the teacher is a savage for making everyone do dat💀
Makes me really sad that it's such a taboo in so many families and that the education in school isn't great either in many cases...
One day I'll most likely be a parent - and I will do my best at educating my child! Also I'm becoming a midwife so I guess I'm pretty chill about it. And I've already tought my brother a lot about it :D
5thgrade through p*rn ...hate the experience, never had the clear talk with anyone,am almost 17 now

I love the one piece wanokuni shirt one of the teens has
I just overheard jokes from too many middle schoolers and gradually put the dots together and searched things up. 6th grade was an interesting year
My mom never gave me "The Talk" She just told me to stay away from those fast tailed girls. Freshman year I get home. Me: Mom my first day was great. I met a girl. Mom: Oh that's nice. Me: She's an older girl. She's a senior and her name is Peaches. Mom: OH HELL NO!
I wish that there was a CUT in the UK :((
When the guy said flash i thought he was talking abt the tv show flash
Would've been really funny if one of them said "i still don't know what sex is"

Next school year we are gonna get s- ed. Its gonna be hell. I just dont like talking about such things with people i know. I cant even write down the word s- normally. I know that im sleep, draw, cry or run away if we’re getting ed. My mom showed me a book about it at a very young age and I wish she didn’t, so i could still be innocent.
