- We were originally only planning on making one video from our stay in Auckland, but for several reasons we ended up having to turn it into two separate videos🤦♂️😂 Hope this one from our rainy days in and around Auckland didn't bore you too much - it wasn't supposed to be a video at all🤣

New Zealand was country 100🌍
We began our trip in Queenstown before making our way up the South Island to Wanaka, Lake Pukaki, Mount Cook, Lake Tekapo, Christchurch, Bank's Peninsula and more. We then hopped over to the North Island to finish the trip in Auckland and the surrounding areas. As explained in this video, our original plan included visiting many more places like Kaikoura, Abel Tasman National Park, Picton, Wellington, Rotorua, Bay of Islands and more. But that's for next time when we have more time to spend!

We live in England my English husband refuses any kinda travel in the Uk 🇬🇧 but he would like to go to NZ and I told him No I’m not flying that many hours to see more grass! We can just go to Ireland (which he has never been, I have many times I m mix Irish and have family there) or go visit your mum in Yorkshire it’s the same! Grass and 💩s 😂 our daughter laughed so hard when she overheard me watching you announcing and I was like “what the F is this a joke? Then I watched Queensland vlog and you wan me over you sold it to me! Our daughter was shocked and needless to say so was the hubby laughing his head off 🎉😂 and now this episode comes along !!!! I was right all along it’s like Yorkshire 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@sabrinastraveladventures4263 you mean Queenstown? We’re not a part of Australia. We have the most beautiful country filled with natural beauty and a very low people to land ratio unlike England. Have you even visited us? You can’t expect everywhere to always have beautiful weather, it’s called weather and science. It rains here sometimes but not as much as the UK

Next time yall come to New Zealand you have to check out the Coromandel, some of the most amazing beaches in the world (in my opinion) and its not too far from Auckland.
I'm so guttered you came to New Zealand when it was raining like crazy (even now as we got one whole month of rain in a few days resulting in one of the worst floods ever) I hope you did manage to get some time to look around and enjoy Auckland, and also glad your friend got you to see some local spots too! My mom's mom was getting to the point where she couldn't travel far anymore and wanted to take a last big trip in the US. Understand, she was born in a 2 room dirt floor shack in southeast Iowa and had been to Europe, lived in San Francisco, and wanted to go to someplace she'd never been. Talking with her and my mom, we realized neither of us had been to New Orleans. As people who had grown up in a west bank of the Mississippi city, it became obvious where we would go. As the plane landed, the clouds let loose and it rained almost every minute of our trip. We had the best of times together. You got sprinkled on! I've been back to NOLA many times and can confirm the sun shines there and it is such a different vibe. You already know you have to go back, please do it outside of the rainy season there. I'll be thrilled to go for the ride with you two.
So crazy after following for so long to see you both cross the harbour bridge and visit the suburbs I grew up in and live in now

Unfortunately you didn’t see the nice things outside Auckland, like hobbiton, the beaches on the east and west coast , the bay of plenty, the coromandel, Hamilton gardens, cap rainga, 90 mile beach , the desert road and national park, as well as taranaki
At least it didn't stop you from making the most of your time. The rain can be annoying, but it is part of travelling, unpredictable. We loved Oskar's interpretation of birds, ahah, very funny! Loved this video :)
The rain got even worse. Hope the folks in Auckland continue to recover from the deluge.

I spent my last night in Auckland right across from the theater you passed. But that was 4 years ago and I got lucky with the weather. I was there in February and the weather was awesome!

I always cheer up when I see a new video from the two of you. :) NZ looks awesome and I'm sorry the weather wasn't as cooperative but kudos for still going out and seeing what you could! Surfers are never deterred by weather conditions. Haha that’s how New Zealand be, South Island is sunny but cold, North Island is rainy but warm 😂. We have a lot of Asian people in our main cities which is why we get such yummy food as well 😋.

IMHO the North Island has its own unique charms such as a visitors ability to meet more Maori's and experience and learn about their culture; the volcanic features of Rotorua, the various types of boat trips (and dolphin swimming) in Paihia in the Bay of Islands at the very north of the North Island; the unique art deco building of the once badly damaged by an earthquake Napier; the stunning cities of Auckland and Wellington; it also has it's own glow worm caves. It's no less interesting than the South Island which of course has the stunning Southern Alps; just different and I wouldn't have missed experiencing it for the world.

Well, rain in New Zealand in summer is quite normal, I experienced this 10 years before, it was warm but it rained every day 😡
