Texas under Strong/Herman loses this game. @Texas-tp3vj Everyone knows Texsucks has always benefitted from media bias, officiating, even right down to that 🧁 schedule to get to the CFP in the first place. They are a large marketing tool win or lose. Not "hating".
Bond getting launched into under chin, Skat OPI on big catch, Offensive lineman clearly downfield on QB scramble DPI pass in endzone, Skat geeing suplexed into endzone, COUNTLESS OFFENSIVE HOLDINGS.
This is my biggest gripe. When was the last time we’ve seen a Texas defensive lineman or linebacker be able to draw a holding penalty?? You’d probably have to go back quite literally years/seasons to find the last one. And yet, those big animals get held like nobodies business. Everyone watching the game sees it happen constantly. It’s not that one conferences officials do or don’t call it, it’s that when the Longhorns play, the opposing team will not get called for offensive holding.
@@travisacton2121 No Taaffe stayed in the game because by RULE it was not targeting. The play on Bond was clear targeting yet no call or even a review.
So true. If you are going to spend HOURS talking about the Taaffe play then you (talk show host) need to give the same coverage to the Bond HIT. Also if you are going to question that one play the national talk show dummies should review the film from the game (using the team's film not network) and LOOK AT EVERY PLAY not just one.

Long and short of it, it’s a terrible rule and officiating is becoming more and more suspect in general. Any non-procedural penalty like roughing the passer, pass interference, holding, unnecessary roughness etc, is all VERY VERY subjective and officials can have too much influence in outcome and basically no accountability.
ASU gave Texas a game that our first S.E.C opponents couldn't. Maybe the Ohio State game will go diffrent🤷♂️ Now Texas knows they can dig deeper to win, when needed.🤘🏼🤘🏼

Yeah they will "dig" their own graves when they play OSU this Friday. Lol!
pretty bad up until the 4th... insane 4th quarter drive by Ewers and co and insane 4th and 13 into back to back touchdowns. I'd rather we play like shit for 3 quarters and win than play great for 3 quarters then lose
This was probably the WORST game Texas has played all season. Five plays on offense in the 1st quarter! Really! We never had the ball and defense showed the effects in the 4th quarter. They did dig real deep and in OT showed what Texas can do. Great job by Quinn in OT with Back to Back TDs plus the two point conversion. Then the defense steps up with the interception to end the game.
I understand the frustration with Quinn but let’s cut him a little slack. I mean Quinn makes a few mistakes and people just automatically call him white trash.
@@corypeacock556 Yes. As it were, no one asked you to listen to any ASU fans, especially if you think they are "whining everyday a week...about a targeting call". Secondly, on a side note, the proper contraction of the the phrase "you are" is "you're" and NOT "your". Saying "your asking me ..." makes no grammatical sense at all!
@G--Mann well when sitting here I this hospital with blood clots in my lungs speaking into my phone I could care less how shit was spelled, as long as ASU fans stop crying
@@corypeacock556 First of all, get well with your blood clots and hopefully all goes well with you! Prayers to you! Second, you should care how words are spelled, as that is how language is effectively communicated. Third, the proper way is to say that " I couldn't care less how...". Saying you "could care less" means that you actually care, just FYI.
Texas led for 3 quarters by 2 scores or more. Finally, after we fell asleep, ASU took the lead. THEN, we scored three straight times to tie it, go into overtime and win. And that with our kicker missing 2 game winning makeable field goals in regulation. yeah, the refs saved them.
Bro... that was targeting on Bond that they didn't call. Respect to ASU... they balled out... but I'm sick of this targeting talk. Compare the 2... which one you calling targeting on? It's the fact that the kid was "hurt" that made it such a discussion.
And actually got up on his on and left the field on his on. Was he on the ground with the hope that it would help with a "CALL". Got the crap knocked out of him a clean football play. Taaffe had his head up, eyes on the player and wrapped up with his arms. Text book tackle.
Keep stirring the pot for no reason! Almost every replay of a play to see what happened on it went to Arizona State and you guys are gonna blame a no call to be the reason why ASU lost! I guess you need to reserve your seat on the Waaaambulance, you know the “pity ambulance”.. Come on man, grow a set and be a man and lose with dignity and humility not blaming it on someone else that you lost! And the record books will show forever that ASU lost!
Well, we certainly did our best to lose the game by playing a sloppy, undisciplined, and no-running production of a game. Yes, that was a targeting, by book definition, looking back. It was a tough call when both teams were playing hard and not being dirty. That said, I got OSU winning against us by at least 2 TDs. The discipline will haunt Texas again, and Ewers will still be slow, and the running game may not reappear.
Sorry to say this Steve. Cam S. was on a national sports talk show next day and made the statement that he SAW Taaffe hit the receiver with the crown of his helmet. That is a player that is saying "Hey it was the Officials that cost us the game" showing ZERO class as a player and team.
Honestly, I don't know why it wasn't called. I've seen targeting called on waaaaaay less violent hits. Do I think the refs rigged the game?... absolutely not. They missed a shit ton of calls...mostly on ASU and if anyone was handed anything, I feel it was them that benefited from the refs more. ASU had every opportunity in the 4 quarters and 2 OTs to get it done and couldn't. It's their own fault they lost, not because of 1 bad call.
Actually it wasn’t a bad call.. the refs got it right… By rule that was not targeting From the 2024 NCAA Football Rules Book, more specifically, Rule 9, Article 4: ARTICLE 4 No player shall target and make forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent with the helmet, forearm, hand, fist, elbow or shoulder This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting (See Note 1 below) When in question, it is a foul (Rules 2-27-14 and 9-6). Note 1: “Targeting” means that a player takes aim at an opponent for purposes of attacking with forcible contact that goes beyond making a legal tackle or a legal block or playing the ball Some indicators of targeting include but are not limited to: • Launch A player leaving their feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make forcible contact in the head or neck area • A crouch followed by an upward and forward thrust to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area, even though one or both feet are still on the ground • Leading with helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area • Lowering the head before attacking by initiating forcible contact with the crown of the helmet
@@tpfrk8977 Yes and that play was not even reviewed. Probably because Bond has the character to just get up and go on with the game. Other guy lays out with the hope of getting a call, and it almost worked.
