They're losing they're mind because one of the two guys played a Guitar Hero expert on Video Game Highschool. But then again, if I remember correctly, his character hated Guitar Hero, was forced into it by his father, and ditched it mid-way through season 1.

For anyone too lazy to look up the neopets video, basically Pan and his girlfriend talk about having a baby and Pan loses it. You can tell that they’re joking (albeit it’s not funny, just a lot of cringe), but they drag the joke on and on that some might think they’re being serious.

The weirdest thing was when places like Nicktoons had dragon Ball z Kai and Disney XD had Naruto Shippuden. Both had to have significant edits/changes (especially Naruto) I mean who thought that was a smart good idea?! who thought those would/could work on those channels?!

Parker plays?! He was once the representitive for the minecraft minigames server "mineplex". He got paid to play the minigames and make other minecraft content. It went, ok I guess but that wasn't enough so he went independent. Kinda glad he got picked up by Disney at least for how long it lasted.

This reminds me of when Projared was on the one Nick show with them there videa games. It's as if they just looked and were like "Hm... who's special with dem dare kids and vidiya gaims." Without actually doing research and knowing how Jared is a very special man who made a video about reproductive organs, can switch between being really analytical and serious to hilariously dumb in a second, and will go crazy and destroy a city if some fool shows 10 arrows to him. Though it seems they're all finally learning to stick with what they can do and not try too hard to appeal to the kids, as it just results in backlash.

Also, Gamer Guides to Pretty Much Anything was kind’ve the start to all the gaming on Disney XD, snd that show was a slap in the face to gamers and anyone that liked games.

Yeah, I literally had zero clue who ANY of the people onscreen were. And my thoughts were, "people like to watch a group of idiots scream at nothing?" Never heard of any of those people, and I'm keeping it that way. How fake would you say that show was? I'd say it was about a 9 out of 10 on the fakeness scale. Possibly the most cringeworthy "gameshow" that was on TV. It looked like how gamers are portrayed on TV shows, when they show off games on a sitcom or something, or when you see people in a movie playing something. Or, like Pan showed, a clip from South Park, (which is my favorite cartoon ever), where people are just crowding around them, screaming at 2 dudes playing a game with a plastic controller, pretending that they're rock stars, when they're just 2 kids playing a game for fun. But unlike South Park, that Polaris thing was just annoying as shit, and also, South Park is just a cartoon show not meant to be taken seriously; and just watched for fun, and Is pretty much the BEST show on TV right NOW. Polaris? I don't even know what the fuck that is. Sounds like they just made it up right on the spot. Doesn't even sound real, sounds like a scam, or a fake internet show. Maybe it was a scam?

If Disney is trying to cater to gamers, they can't be afraid to have more expressive freedom on their network like how RUclipsrs can just be themselves.

In Australia we had 'Good Game', and later 'Good Game: Spawn Point'. GGSP was on the kids network, so all mature titles were on the mainshow, but it did have interviews with developers and a robot called Darren, who was a knock of Darlek with pasta scoops for hands.
I loved those shows.
And we now have Screenplay on Channel 7 with a lot of the same guys working on it
I remember my bro and I harassing their PO box to find out when Pokemon Black and White was coming out. It was one of the only shows I really cared about watching on that channel. Prank Patrol and Spatalot were pretty fun too, but I doubt either of those are running now either since most of the staff from the early ABC 3 era have left by now. Shame.

If you were given the opportunity to have small 5-20 minute segments on CN or Disney or Nick doing what you do now and talking about animation history and animated shows, but had to keep the humor PG or lower, would you do it? Yeah I liked X-Play, well the first I wanna say 3-4 seasons? The episodes where Adam and Morgan's set was a small, comfy looking room before they upgraded to that big studio. But I must admit the review portions did feel a bit robotic though I mostly tuned into X-Play for the skits. I still remember the Morgan Von Web segment where she tested out which console would last a beating and I think the Gamecube ended up winning or the "Kill Bunny" parody lol.

The aftermath: Parker Plays stays, with rarely few occasional esports/tournaments w/o the D|XP branding but using the "latest" 'General audience program' bumper.
Tbh, I was that guy who watched the Smash Bros tournament on the channel, and the Nintendo World Championship, and boy were there glitches, especially on the first week.
Actually, the block and even the DXD channel itself was glitchy by late-May of that year. Fun fact: for Smash Bros Tournament there were audio issues on the SAP (2nd audio used for Spanish). In the first 5 or so minutes you could hear nothing except for music of any clips being played, something the audience. It was fixed really quickly. Also, since DXD is an ad-supported network like CN, some cable providers in some areas added their local ads (i.e your provider ads, that local event/store that you think it's that good it's on national television but it isn't) during matches, runing the moment. It happened twice or 3 times before DIsney fixed it. Apparently some engineer forgot to disable the locals breaks timestamps so most systems thought ads were being played.
Also, they messed up the SAP, made the SD signal to 16:9 forced, and stuff no one cares about knowing during that Summer.
Oh yea, and during DXD runs, they would sometimes be a "SIGN OFF" program slot just to be replaced by an automated run of Phineas and Ferb, with generic ads/shorts.
Pretty sure DXP won't come back, just like Disney XD's other failed "mature" blocks. If no one recorded those shows during its run from the TV or from their site, then they'll become lost media overtime.
And currently the channel plays mostly Parker Plays with only a 4ish hour block mid day for DuckTales and a longer block at night for DuckTales, Amphibia, The Owl House and reruns of Gravity Falls.
Literally everything on Disney XD is Player Select and Parker Plays. And of your lucky, you get Ducktales, Amphibia, The Owl House, or reruns of Gravity Falls. It’s sad.
As someone who works in the sports/esports world, usually how breaks work with a network is you have a producer counting out someone from master control who switches over to break. I'm surprised Disney had issues with that considering they own ESPN and probably was using the same facilities for transmission. The tournaments were probably just picked up last minute by the network and the people producing the broadcasts were unaware of how it all works for breaks and didn't fit it into their show structure or anything.
Live production will always have glitches though
I'd honestly just be glad if they got rid of player select all together and made Parker plays it's own show.

Yeah, this is the issue. There's so much potential here, but the problem is the restriction by censorship. AVGN lasted good long time due to no such restrictions. If they took off dem gloves and stopped being so kid-friendly, maybe DXP would be a better programming block.

Two shows are still regularly featured. Around 9PM on Disney XD, they still sometimes feature Parker Plays and Polaris: Prime Time. Since I was a young teen when... this started, I’ll give my opinion on these two shows.
Parker Plays is your average PG rated gamer, but with a few differences. Think DanTDM with less personality and way more pandering. The thing that I dislike about is two things. First, they have random different games alongside actual long games played. For example, here’s what an average 22-minute episode’s schedule would look like. Tattletail, Agar.io, Tattletail, RUclipsr’s Life, Tattletail. Why would they split a single game up so much?
Second, the production value isn’t put to use. Imagine if every time a game commentator said “Imagine if this happened” casually, then they’d have a five minute skit featuring CaptainSparklez about this scenario.
Now Polaris: Player Select. While it is more than a clip show, it’s not worth the extra effort. They heavily edit sections. Instead of getting RUclipsrs to give them more of the content they already do with a higher budget, giving the editors the right to edit how they please, they take low-res videos of RUclips videos already available for free and censor and edit them badly to be “funny”. Why edit it if people were completely fine with it?
And the part that annoy me in Player Select now is that the swat to different RUclipsrs a lot like my sister said why not make one episode for one RUclipsr that will be more better.
Is anyone else sick and tired of Disney trying to pander to tweens? Especially when the live action shows take slots when that could be showing more cartoons...

I remember witnessing and watching that block during the summer of 2017. And I still don’t get why the people behind Disney thought it was a good idea to air these shows on Disney XD. The only show I actually liked and still rewatch is Parker Plays and at least Waypoint has a good concept for a documentary. All of the other shows like Polaris: Player Select or Polaris Primetime are just trash content.

those things would be about 10-15 minutes worth of runtime and wouldn't be so bad on paper. though knowing disney they'd find a way to fuck it up and wouldn't be able to catch up with the time the game has to be called fresh

Because it would take a bit quite effort and RUclips is accessible and so many kids have their favorite RUclipsr they figured it'll be cheaper and easier to grab viedos, RUclips's and a bunch of dated pop culture junk instead.
Also, chemistry is important. Take GameGrumps for example, two guys sitting on the couch talking, making jokes, laughing playing games and just having a good time (unless it's Battle Kid or the black night when there's raging but it's still hilarious) because there's good chemistry. Just putting a bunch of random people in a room isnt going to work.
They will fuck it up just with the fact that they will censor literally everything

Oh yeah, PG now has a family and they are creating an army of previous villains to take over the land of Oooh or some shit like that. I kinda dropped off the series around season five, but I will try to catch up.
The later seasons of Adventure Time certainly aren’t for everyone. They aren’t bad they’re just... strange. That’s why it’d be interesting to analyze the series as a whole. Was the show better when it was simple, or when it got deep? I’d make a video of it myself if I had the resources, but I don’t so I gotta rely on Pan I suppose

DisneyXD actually had a show with a few youtubers a while back. as far as I could tell it was just random clips from preexisting videos, only difference being how highly edited they were. they had quite a small catalog of youtubers they used, probably cause they could only get a few to sign the contract. Most of the RUclipsrs on the show were unnoteworthy and unrecognizable, although they somehow got ahold of Markiplier on the show
