My mom adds picadillo. That’s ground beef with cubed potatoes and Mexican white cheese. DELICIOUS!!!!!!❤
Yes you can stuff them with what ever you want but chews is easy. If you save what you cook in the week, picadillo, tinga, atún a ala mexicana you can add that to your chiles

I was surprise that a few Mexicans don’t like making Chiles rellenos with the tomato sauce lol , my parents are from Guanajuato and my husband is from Sinaloa, both of us grew up pairing Chiles rellenos with the sauce 🤗☺️ the Fried chile relleno would be cooked in the sauce .
In India we make it with chickpeas flour and we call them mirchi bajji love from India 🇮🇳

My mother makes the BEST sauce to go along with the chile rellenos. Boil 5-7 serranos then blend with sour cream or crema mexicana and add salt. It’s amazing.. creamy, simple and spicy.

Try putting the hot oil over it before u flip it it will help the egg not spread so fast plus it helps when u flip it over it wont splat the egg to the sides

I sometimes char mine in the oven on broil. Also, I find it easier to cut and clean out first then char. That way seeds dont stick to everything

I am also Mexican we make it exactly like that but we put carne in are Chile poblanos and mosarela cheese and that’s all that’s different from are Chile rellenos

@@chanel_xoxo3707 it's usually the same bag that the Chiles were on. I've had this type of dish made like this for a good chunk of my life and nothing's ever really happened to me, and I'm guessing it hasn't for OP either.
But sure, if you want to use an extra bag that's fine too I guess, less cost effective in my opinion though.

we do something like this in india, but we used serrano peppers whole with the seeds then make this coating thing out of a certain flour(forgot it’s name) then fry it. it’s delicious and sometimes you get a spice one and sometimes they are blan

Gringo here. Chile rellenos are my favorite to order at any given Mexican place. I had some poblanos in the fridge along with some leftover queso from Moe’s (I KNOW don’t @me 😂) and thought I could just riff and make it without looking up any recipe.
The batter (which turned out a lot more like pancake batter) was burnt, the pepper was still crunchy, and the cheese (DIP, mind you) was barely melted 😂
With help from your video I’ll try to get it right next time!

You make it look so easy. Last time I tried to make these I roasted the chilies too long and they fell apart when I started to peel them. That was 10 years ago. Because of you I'll try again, or you could come over and make them for me!!

You are letting them get too soft. Either cook them for less time or leave them in the bag less time.

My family loves when i leave the black on the Chiles after i roast them. They love that burn taste it just adds something different to it
I never eaten this and I live in Texas and eat some kind of Mexican food once weekly but alot of restaurants don't make it or I just never ordered it but when I saw her scrape the black off I was like noooooo ..! I love burnt veggies and peppers.

I think you can leave them for all the other ones or when in salsa, it tasted amazing. But for poblanos, as far as I know, that first layer of skin is hard to eat, that's why it's burned and removed. 😋
