Bought my son a 2019 about two months ago...everyone that rides it falls off including adults! That thing is a beast def not for beginners!
Especially adults, being tall you end up so far back on the seat it lifts the front wheel all the time!

These 85cc 2 strokes are way more powerful and louder than I thought. I looked at a 21 Yz85lw for my next bike, I have a Ttr110 now but it’s getting way to small for me right, so last weekend I looked at this bike far out I did NOT know these little 85cc 2 stroke are this powerful these days, I was shocked just hearing this engine warm up, and hearing this bike smashing through the gears whining out just thought wow maybe this isn’t supposed to be my next bike (definitely not a beginner bike that’s for sure) 🔥😳😅

What would the new kx112 make on the dyno. There is literally no info on how much hp it has anywhere online.

1/2hp over the ENTIRE mid-top end is impressive for just a head insert! People expect 5whp, these engines are 85cc hahaha they expect the world. A big bore 105cc prob only makes 3-5whp over 85cc and is a lot faster (from the torque and the low weight of the machines).

Changing the head won't do much , Yamaha has already tuned it for optimum performance/reliability. E ven swapping the exhaust will make little difference.
Do you guys use oxygen censor on two stokes to ajust carbs? I have heard that you could not do that since there is a possibility that censors cannot take it and are quite expensive to replace. Well at least my nearest dyno service has that opinion on measuring two stoke fuel/air ratio.

Probably to tall being 5’9, for beginner I’ll suggest getting the Ttr230 for your height.

Purr Cat no not high thirty’s more like low to mid thirty’s a port and polish will get you to about 30 on the dot so a port and polish is almost like getting a big bore and 115 cc is illegal in supermini they only allow up to a 112cc

This dyno test is done with our AE32286-E insert, which has 8.40cc volume (= combustion chamber volume including the volume of the spark plug hole).

25* and the power to weight ratio on these bikes will still take off faster than most cars (not super cars like regular cars)
