    I just purchased this and this video showcased the same issue when putting it together.
    The power adapter was the issue as well!!
    But overall this video was super helpful because i wanted to make sure i had it at the proper height

    Thank you very much for making this video. I read reviews on Amazon. Many reviewers mentioned (not sure if they are real) that WIFI connection drops frequently. My question is, if WIFI connection drop, does the bump automatically turn on at your scheduled time? Imaging you are on vacation, the WIFI connection drops, the bump does not turn on, and your plants are all dead.

      Hi, yea. If power is on, it keeps running on its schedule. I never saw that problem. The only problem i noticed is, if the water is empty, the notification doesn’t pop up unless you don’t open the app.

    Aquarium pump and a Sonoff wifi relay. Costs 1/3 and compatible with all smart home systems.

    • @RoysWork
      @RoysWork  Год назад +1

      Yes, you are right. But not 1/3 cost cut down, may be 1/2 of the price. You can try Kasa smart plug. Thats chipper and good, using it for 3+ years and it works with both alexa & google home.
      It’s a good idea to but you need buy all other accessories separately.

    Hi, thank you for your video. Quick question (and maybe you said but I missed it): How long can the system run? I f I am on holiday for an entire summer, say, can I trust this to keep my plants watered until I return?

      Hi, thanks for watching my video.
      I use this during winter. Last winter it worked without issue. This winter also it’s working fine so far.
      So, if there is no power or internet interruption, it should run fine.
      But it may run out of water. And this notification doesn’t pop up unless you open the app.
      So, please make sure that you have enough water in tank.

    • @RoysWork
      @RoysWork  2 месяца назад

      No, if you use adapter, you don’t need battery.
      Note- if you use battery, it won’t connect to WiFi. To use WiFi, you must need to use adapter.

      Honestly speaking, i am using it since I installed it (when i made this video) and will using it for 2 more weeks since it’s already summer. The only prob I noticed is the “no water “ alert doesn’t pop un on screen, you will see it only when u open the app. But it’s a software prob of app, the product is good.

    • @RoysWork
      @RoysWork  Год назад

      Thanks for your comment. Yeah there is no guidance about wanting time. Because it depends on lot of factors like pot size, plant size is it inside house or outside, etc. so after setting up you need to monitor and adjust watering schedule accordingly.

    I have two questions.
    1) will i be able to control it from long distance, i mean if i am outside home?
    2) Does it allow me to set timer for 30 days, if I am out side?

    • @RoysWork
      @RoysWork  Год назад +1

      Hi, the answer is “Yes” for both of your questions.
      1. The app works with internet. If the timer needs to be connected to internet using wifi. Then you can control it from anywhere if your phone has internet.
      2. Yes, you can schedule it for any number of days. But you need make sure that you have enough water. I scheduled it give water every alternative day. So it is doing that.

      @@RoysWork ok one more thing. As you are using this. You said you are not happy with it's timing to release water. I mean 12 am. Is it not adjustable to some other time. Or it will continue same 12 am in auto. But at the same time can we switch it on manually any choice of time we want?

    • @RoysWork
      @RoysWork  Год назад +1

      Yes, when the scheduler is on, you can also manually turn on water from the device itself or form the app. That will not disturb your scheduler.

      Is the motor is running all the time? Do you hear the sound of the motor? Also make sure the motor is above the water level (please follow the instructions where to put the motor). If the water level above the motor, water may drain out by itself. Instruction page has a picture, make sure you follow that.

      Once you programmed, it’s not required you to be connected to internet, it will run by itself, only thing you may not receive the out of water notification. Otherwise it will keep running by it self.
      Also after programed, you can turn off the wifi of the device, it should run by itself but you won’t be able to access it since its not connected to internet, i didnt do this test. But all other things are working for me.
