I'm play a version of this and its also helpful to make a rule that outfield can play the ball of the walls n ceiling. This is needed when playing in a confined area like the gym.
Also, I saw the below comment but want further clarification. let's say after a ball is kicked, the entire 15-20 kids run to the other side and back..& if within that time 3 tags have been made while the kids are running A) if 12/15 kids make it back that team gets 12 points, (counting ALL who made it) B) what happens to the kids who make it as the 3 outs are made & after 3 outs are made? Their run doesn't count?
@@yurfavoriteahmedA) yes, those 12 players who made it earned a total of 12 points B) the other players who made it on or after the 3rd out do not count as points
I have the same question as others, but can't see the answer. Do you count each person individually that's running, or one for the entire team? If three are out , do you count the 7 or so that made it back?
Not sure how I missed to answer those questions from years ago… but yes, you count each person that individually makes it back home (same player might even earn more than 1 point if he/she can manage back and forth more than once). As soon as 3rd out is made, that’s it. Only the points earned before the 3rd out count (so in your example if 7 students made it to first then back to home before the 3rd out, then that’d be 7 points)
How to count points? 1. My team run and oponents catch ball in air? 2. My team run but oponents kicks out one player. How with other players? How to count points?
does the kicking team have to stay together? can half stay at "first base" while the others go all the way to score? What if whole team stays at first, do you turn around and pitch it to someone over there?
Hi again, hope you’re still around after all these years…it took me awhile to think about how to answer this question… hmmm… I might need a few more years!
So let's just say that the ball was kicked and 5 players ran to the other sideline and back... That would result in 5 runs for the kicking team? Just want to make sure that I understand the scoring.
It would be difficult for that age but possibly doable depending on your class strength…..though your second graders are now in grade 11 as I write this😂

@@mantasbrazionis4646 a player who is ‘out’ will not earn a point. But any other player who makes it safely earns a point

The kicking team does not have to stay together (half could stay at ‘first base’ if they want
If they all stayed at first, give it to the pitcher and the round is over if no one moved). All players return to home earning zero points
I have a group of abt 40 kids, so would playing this game Be tough to manage with this much of a group?
***** thanks for your reply.

Just kidding. Yes, it could work with 40 students. Might be difficult to track the runs coming in, but doable
when to throw ball to roller?????

9 years later 😂….that is correct
Would this be considered as interdisciplinary
Can I teach this game to second graders?
