Hello, I have a 2014 314ce with the original strings still on it, I want to change them and have a question. I see that Taylor is using Diadarrio XS strings currently instead of the Elixr strings it came with. Is this due to the brace change from X to V or just a better string overall? Should I go with the Diadarrio also?
Personally I think XS are superior in tone and feel. However, I really love Elixir's HD Light as for gauges and wish that D'addario would make a similar set and call it "Fingerstyle" or something like that. I've already contacted them and they said that there would not be any demand and so do not plan on making such a set. I think they are wrong.
@@smandez2023 I'm going to have to agree I have tried both on my Taylor and the D'addario XS phosphor bronze are my go to, at least for now. I'm not sure if it was a quality control issue but there were strange resonances with the Elixirs.
What is the name of that tune and do you have tab?
