Every unit we found last time I replaced it had to have the wires connected separately like you had. Even the ones that showed they had a plug! I’m having to replace the alternator four months later due to a mistake I made…under warranty thankfully. And I feel the same, not just about the alternator but about the whole bird, unfortunately… when it’s dead it’s gone. It’s been a money pit and got me where it would how it wanted when it wanted, but it was in my price range. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching. For what I paid, it was a good car and the engine was awesome. It was fun to work on. I sold it to a family member and lost money, but he has more time to work on the other stuff. It needed a lot of steering system work and it was not worth putting the money into. I am glad you enjoyed the video and really appreciate you watching. It was a fun little car for the short time I owned it.
Yeah, after it coughed past the ignition issue when I first got it, it was great, always started up, super reliable, even with the annoying “ford whine” from the power steering. I was looking forward to the project after rebuilding the suspension and was about to get into the lines when money got tight and I had to start driving distances for work, it killed the poor thing. Good on you for sending it to a new home, instead of scrapping it. I fear we won’t see as many unique cars in the future and, like this bird sure looks like a toad to me. Take care!
