I bought a socks5proxy installed it abd attached my ip mask address ( becuz it was not accepting my device addresss ) and right before I went to go on a website I googled “ what’s my location ? “ and it responded saying that the public can see that I am at this location , but the location was exactly where I was but it was not my intentions to be viewed at that location. So my proxy did not work ?? What did I do wrong ?
While SOCKS5 proxies do provide a few of the same benefits as VPNs, they're not a VPN replacement. You shouldn't use them together, however, because routing your traffic multiple times will likely result in slower speeds. Hope this answers your question!
