Oh my!! A vlog entitled "10 Epic Places in Ireland You've NEVER heard of & MUST visit!!" This list contained probably the best-known areas that, usually Americans, visit interminably......... A quick warning. Kinsale (Corcaigh/Cork would be the nearest large city) offers delectable food & have events celebrating the excellent food from the area (tickets must be purchased in advance). It is also one of the most expensive areas of Ireland, if one has brought along a large family to sit at one's table - no "kiddie meals" here.... You have been warned!! It should be noted that a trip to Newgrange is no longer the fun trip we had as students. Now, so engorged by tourists, the place has been not only, physically compromised but it's so well-known that any chance of getting access during the most auspicious time of the year, when the sunlight floods the tomb, (December 19-23, inclusive) is, literally, a game of lotterry. Many, "in the know", have their names on the list for a decade or more beforehand. Only then, will one try the Newgrange lottery as the choosing of names from the list is the deciding factor as to who will be allowed in...... The "Giant's Causeway" has also been compromised by, not only the constant tramp of feet (even a section of this marvellous sight should have been fenced off decades ago). Even worse is the nasty habit some tourists have of using larger, more dense boulders, to break off chunks of the less dense basalt (NOT salt) columns, "For a souvenir!!". Locals have no problem intervening if this behaviour is noted.
@@WanderingWithPurpose You need to edit out the Austrian/Swiss footage at the segment on the Aran islands otherwise a very well informed travel video 👍😎
I was going to comment on the misleaing title because the 10 places featured woud have been on any top 20 shortlist and are featured in many other travel videos of Ireland. Also, some of the video clips are misplaced and one clip is not in Ireland at all. However, when I read some of the other comments, especially those of a political nature, I was saddened at how petty some people can be. Overall, the video has some of the best footage I have seen of Ireland, and therefore it is very effective in enticing people to visit Ireland. It is an experience they won't regret.
In many other videos, the person commenting seems in a hurry to tell everything. For once I hear someone commenting in a gentle way, as a non native speaker, that really makes a change. 👍 For me, watching this kind of video is a moment of relaxation 😎 So I subscribed to your chanel 😃
Extremely talented scriptwriter(s), with extraordinary descriptive abilities. Every sentence becomes a gem in its own right and succeeds in conveying the vibrant beauty of the 10 best sites and sights of Ireland to visit. Just listening was an experience in itself. Furthermore, you've actually helped me decide where to go and what to skip. Just a few days and so much beauty to see. Thank you so much!
My apologies...although to be fair, the average person I've come across couldn't name more than 1 or 2 places in Ireland...which is a shame... Thanks for watching
@@WanderingWithPurpose the content is great ~ I would just change the title of the vid. It's misleading for those of us looking for "everything else" in Ireland. Cheers!
Unless you have grandparents who are Irish lol to get citizenship, or one either parents is Irish, or live in Ireland between 5 and 9 years to get citizenship.
Beautifu video, congratulations! Just the title is not aproriate…. Many of these places are the first you hear when Ireland is mentioned. Tank you for posting!
It’s quite off-putting to hear our place names incorrectly pronounced, even the Anglicised ones. It shouldn’t be too much work for you to research the correct pronunciation.
I apologize if I mispronounced certain places. I will work harder to avoid that issue in the future because I dont want to offend anyone. Thank you for your feedback.
Yes, unfortunately inflation has hit Ireland quite hard...it's now the most expensive country in the EU...which is sad, but it's not the local's fault...life there is getting harder for everyone....still, it truly is one of the most incredible places to visit...check out this recent newsclip of the situation there: ruclips.net/video/-Kdxvvxd_dE/видео.html Thanks so much for watching!
bring more money next time OR maybe avoid the tourist traps , london and paris are rips off especially if you go where the tourists go so is NYC or any city / country . if you want to do the tourist thing you will pay tourist prices
I have heard this, however, now that the US Dollar is quite strong against the EURO, compared with years past, I have heard that recently the prices are much more reasonable. In fact, Bill O'Reilly just got back from a trip there a few days ago and he mentioned that the prices, especially dining, were quite reasonable. Thanks so much for watching!
Great video! We made our first trip to Ireland earlier this year. We are returning in March 2024. Visiting Ireland is life changing!
That's Incredible! So happy to see you appreciating the enchantment of Ireland!

The Giants Causeway is not in Ireland
Its in Northern Ireland. For this video I didnt differentiate between Ireland and Northern Ireland.
@@WanderingWithPurpose you did, the Irish flag is clearly visible at the start of your video.
