This poem was read at my wedding 22 years ago. My first husband died of a brain aneurysm in 1993. Jim's wife died unexpectedly in 1996. Jim and I married in 1998 and this poem had significant meaning to us. Hearing it again after 22 years and during this long period of isolation, it is still as true today as it was then. I am grateful for it.

I love this woman's writing, it's so honest and so relatable. I had the book The Dance for years and haven't read it in a long time. I pulled it out today and opened on a page I had ear marked, only to find it was a page that described exactly and change I had just undergone and led me to a sense of more peace and acceptance of my life as it is. Great coincidence and one that made me realise, we are never alone in the changes we makes, someone, somewhere is going through the same. Bless you Oriah.
