She should be a voice actor because her voice sounds perfect for a kids film!
Very true!
She should!!!
She has such a lovely voice! What a nice idea
I was just about to comment saying she could voice act a Disney Princess. She has a pleasant voice.
@@Mothra_Stewart i think her voice is a lot like ariel’s !
As a disabled person myself, it hit hard to hear her saying that the disabled community is the one community that's never included when it comes to diversity. So true.
I thought the blind person as the Asian lol
as a disabled queer person I've sadly seen way too many fellow queer people who are extremely ignorant to disabilities and often perpetuate a lot of ableism. even in circles where you would think people would be more aware and educated, the disabled community is just one that everyone overlooks when they talk about marginalised groups, oppression, intersectionality etc
@@Jovviial disabled folks are oppressed by abled folks. People aren't ready to say it like that but it's true.
Bruh who cares
@@jakedavidson1311 People like YOU are THE reason why people should care!
Her answers are very insightful and she seems like such a sweet soul. I definitely hope she accomplishes all of her dreams because she deserves it.

We love the representation! That said, given you've mentioned in this video that you'd like to become more accessible for all, there are many simple tweaks you could make to your content to make it more accessible to blind viewers like myself. Reach out to me or other people in the blind community and we're love to provide feedback. :)

Excited that a blind Latina perspective was used. So often we ignore the intersectionality of disability with race, gender identity, sexuality and class. Big hugs to you Presh, honored to call you a friend and RAMPD colleague!

Yes because being blind and Latina in American is so very different from being blind and biracial…damn identify political….how about just being a person? Before there was identify politics we were all just people and judged on our individual situations. But the most important thing is there skin color…not…
I went to high school with her. I didn't know her all that well since I only had a class with her once, in senior year, but I pretty much knew her from cantare (our school choir), and all of the talent shows she's performed in. Happy to see how far she's come.

One thing I've always wanted to ask a blind person is, respectfully, "when you dream, do you visualize dreams? Or how do your dreams look/feel like?"
That’s an excellent question
I’m visually impaired, so I can see a little bit. I’m able to see my dreams. But I think people who are completely blind are able to feel and hear in their dreams. I think their dreams are in the dark but they also have an environment. They’re able to experience their dream like they experience the real world. I have heard, in some cases, that blind people have visualized in their dreams.
@@tabithashipley9605 That is super cool! They create their own mental environment.
@@cryptotycoon4987 Exactly!
I thought the blind person as the Asian lol
I loved when she said pink is her favourite colour and the other lady said pink is her favourite too. It was such a short and simple statement but to me it felt like a really sweet sentiment. No matter what our differences are we are all so beautifully human. Two years ago my little sister went blind shortly after her eleventh birthday and the way she has taken it in stride and what she has done with herself makes me so incredibly proud. I'm going to show her this video and check out your music with her!
I have ADHD myself, and it also struck a chord when Precious mentioned that the disabled community is often not included in discussions surrounding diversity. I think this is partly because a lot of people don't recognise the incredible diversity within the community. Hopefully we are seeing a shift in society so that treating everybody with a disability with the same respect and kindness as you would towards people without disabilities becomes the prevalent mindset. There is so much intersectionality and variance in the community. Different personalities, needs, desires, skills and capabilities - just like everybody else on the planet!
I really loved the conversation about children! And I really agree with the lady that it is important for children to ask questions, and really disabled people don't feel disturbed by children because they know that their questions are innocent

I think for some of us able bodied people we don't know how to behave around people with disabilities because we never learn about their reality. And that is a bummer. But I'm thankful to Jubilee for constantly broadening our perspectives and knowledge of our fellow human beings
Yo fam I make a short entertaining variety of videos on RUclips as well, I’m still working on quality, and versatility but I 100% guarantee you will find something to enjoy!💛💛💛
I love that you are learning.
It's so so important to learn about our realities, a lot of the time it isn't our disabilities that are the problem, it is how people treat us and the world that is not built for us. So it is so important for everyone to play a part in breaking down ableism and making the world more accepting and accessible
I love how jubilee is giving us the representation we all wanted.

I love how she answers the questions! She is so precious. She answers the questions so passionately!! I love how she doesn’t let anybody bring her down and I love how they help disabled people with voice access. Such a great thing. She has such a sweet soul
She is the embodiment of a ray of sunshine. For real.
She 100% should be a voice actor, her voice is amazing
I wish someone asked her to draw something like a house or a car to kind of have an idea of what images she conjures in her head when she hears certain words. I think it would be interesting to see what she pictures.
This would have been interesting!
But she’s never ever seen anything at all so she may not even be able to imagine things it’s just like how we can’t imagine what a new colour we have never seen before would look like
@@aleeshacampbell129 I wasn't born blind, but I am now. And I'd say the problem wouldn't be understanding objects, it would be understanding drawing. How a three dimensional shape can be represented as a two dimensional image. I think of a car, and I still have the image of a car in my brain, but mostlky I think of flat cold metal under my palm, the click of doorlocks, the way the edge of the car drops at the front and back, the smooth coldness of the outside. The feel of the handle as I pull it up, the hum or growl of an engine and the softer sound of tires. It's impossible to draw that impression of a car as a flat line drawing.
She literally said she's never seen anything in her life and doesn't even see when she dreams. What do you think she'd "conjure in her head" exactly?

As someone who is an invisible disabled person, crazy how visibly disabled people have to fight to not be seen as less and not capable, and invisible disabled people have to fight for others to understand that we can’t do certain stuff, just because we look like we can. It’s a completely different experience on how we are treated as disabled folks.
I went to college (music school) with Precious! What a pleasant surprise to see her here. Love her insights!! 💖
I’ve always wondered what relationship blind people have with their body ? Do they ever feel self-conscious ?
I know I do. I know people are watching me a lot, particularly because they are curious. I know they are watching because of how quickly they react to my actions, like if I am trying to find someothing, the offer of help is basically instant. So I know I am being watched a lot. Sometimes it is easy to forget, I have fewer problems with stage fright now, but a lot of the time, it is easy to feel watched and judged. I particularly hate eating with a knife and fork in front of people
Thank you Jubilee for this. She seems so sweet and I like how all of their convos went. One thing that I think would be interesting too if we had ppl who have physical disabilities and mental ones sit down and discuss about their similarities/differences.
What a sweet soul. I want her to achieve every one of her dreams

I heard my sister watching this video in the other room, and thought this woman was cool so I asked who was she watching, and she showed me this video. Really makes you think disabled people are really just normal, great people

@@sherlenewilkinson5240 I always had a stereotype that disabled people have a very beautiful and kind heart and were very much more humbled than the abled people. I guess this comment changed that for me.
You don't have to see people's skin color to be taught or to think that certain people are X and others are y. Just think about it.

Shes really interesting person not for her disability but herself
She's smart and i love how she explain some stuff casually you can tell she deals alot with kids and its lovely
I feel like i have many questions but there are stuff that never crossed my mind like the dreams questions i never thought about it before
At least am happy that people born blind dont feel the sense of missing out or something wrong bc thats the life they were born into and i can tell bc she said what bothers her the most is how people perceive them and not her disability itself
Precious you're really lovely and i wish you the best thank you for doing this
i think what she said about peoples looks is really interesting because it's so important for "seeing-people" in the datingscene and she just doesn't really know what it's about but still fell in love... maybe it's really not as important as we make it out to be
Looks was always important. Even cavewomen liked the most biggest/muscular men. And cavemen liked more actractive woman to them with bigger breasts or which could give birth to healthy kids, etc. Even in animal kingdom animals tend to search for most atractive partner they can find. We are the same. People are just smarter, but we are animals too.
AWW she is so sweet! Her voice is so smoothly and she seems like such a kind person!

As a disabled person myself I was deaf but I am now mildly deaf so I can hear things to a high degree but sometimes it is hard to hear lower voices then higher voices and I need to turn volume up on my hearing aids for certain things. I am genuinely curious what it would be like if you were to dream as a blind person like would it be blackness with voices or how does that work??? Also I would be very curious about if someone was deaf and blind how they would manage through life because I feel like hearing and seeing are 2 of the most important senses especially when it comes to entertainment, movies, TV shows and radio. I get that you would still be able to touch things but Idk I am genuinely curious how it would work to be both blind and deaf.
