I am so thankful for your teaching! I had a copy of the book you talked about, I realized a while back how wrong it was, I burnt it in my wood stove. Key words but it made me feel..... I was angry at myself for being dupped. I then realized no, you're growing in God's word recognizing what is true and what isn't. I have asked the Holy Spirit to guard me from false teachings that are sometimes so slick! Sticking to the Bible to get my truth!

Thank you Barry for speaking about healing. I was diagnosed with a horrible auto immune disease among other things. It's taken a toll on me greatly and I've been praying for healing for quite a while now but only been getting worse. I have actually heard pastors say it's a lack of faith why someone isn't healed. I've been told it could be a generational curse because my siblings have terrible diseases as well. I was also told it could be a demonic attack. Imagine being told all these things. It caused me to have anxiety, question my own faith and made me depressed. When I spoke to a pastor about my anxiety he simply quoted 2 Timothy 1:7. THAT made me feel even worse.

I'm sorry you are having physical problems. I have problems with pain everyday, basically debilitating pain that morphine and Oxycodone barely touches. What I find really helps me is thinking about what Christ did for me at the cross. And not just at the cross but on the way to the cross. He not only got beaten on the back they turned him around and beat him on the front and then the crown of thorns, just to touch on it as far as the pain he went through. It makes my pain seem trivial. It isn't, but it makes it seem trivial. God bless you and I'm saying a prayer for you right now that the Lord helps alleviate the problems in your body. Mine will stay until the Rapture takes the pain away completely. God bless you and every day you should pray Maranatha Lord come quickly. Everyday.❤
Ask G-d the Father to use your condition to glorify Him. Check out Joni Ericson-Tada's testimony for some inspiration, if you haven't yet. Maybe He hasn't healed you because He needs to mould you to be more like Jesus, like Paul's'thorn in the side', to keep you humble, and I write this is all humility. Your faith is *not* lacking - I believe one needs faith to bear such afflictions - and extra can be requested. James writes about counting *all* trials and tribulutions as joy, though that can be, and often is, harder than it seems and feels, though easy to say. However, consider the parable of the Lost Sheep. The Shepherd carried the Lamb home on His shoulders rejoicing that He found it, but did you know that, in the Middle East, shepherd used to break a lamb's leg if it kept wandering off for two reasons: to stop the habit and to nurse it back to health *personally* because then the lamb will never stray too far from Him! Lambs are valuable, you know. Maybe decide for yourself what G-d the Father has allowed in your case. Rejoice, bro, or sis - you may be getting personal treatment from our loving Shepherd. Shalom!
I am sorry that you have been treated this way. 😢 I also have autoimmune disease, and I deal with pain. That doesn't mean that I am demon possessed or that God is punishing me. He LOVES me and has saved me by Jesus' precious blood. I am saved by His grace. He never promised that we wouldn't have trials on this earth. Just keep your eyes on Jesus - we will be out of here very soon when Jesus comes back for His Bride. 🙏 I hope that this helps! ❤
I thought Repentance is turning to Him. Changing our minds & deciding we need a savior. We are Justified when we accept Him as said Savior & He sends Holy Spirit to indwell us. The horror is that in an 'established' church organisation, like the C of E, RCC, ect, if the hierarchy is twisted and woke, especially these days, and expect or even *order* the lower clergy to teach their 'revised' Biblical teachings, what does one do? I am in the C of E, and recently discovered that bishops cannot order clergy what and how to teach Scripture, but many have fallen for the World's demands, thinking it 'compassionate', but is out of fear of discipline and/or being cancelled and sued. Or worse. Fortunately, there are those who hold the line, but support for them is reducing for many reasons. I think the Church Politic's hierarchy is going, if not *already is,* Ichabod; but not necessarily the local fellowships, as I believe that the Holy Spirit has done an 'end run' around them because they won't listen to what He is saying to them. It seems as bad in the Free Church movement, even in the Calvary Chapel movement. Wherever the Bible is taught, that is where the fighting is the heaviest! Keep praying for your pastors, pilgrims! If you've ever seen the ~2 hour presentation movie "Is Genesis History" from the Answers in Genesis organization just outside Cincinnati,OH that is across the river in Kentucky, I encourage taking the time. A DVD is available and I purchase it giving to those that would never darken a Christian Church door. There is a section near the end, which in my opinion should be close to the front (but that's just me) about how DNA is not just a twisted fence. It moves on its own when an unfriendly enemy of an individual cell attacks. Just like the Word, it has its own methods to repel attacks by the enemy, Satan. He cannot penetrate the truth. Frustration drives him to his secondary tools, such as twisting the words. I find it interesting that no matter what language the attack comes in, the accurate translations in past times still holds God's line on the redemptive requirements of faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ shines through.
