Ricardo, also known as Cepillín, was a dentist who became famous for painting his face to comfort children during their dental visits. After being interviewed on TV, he gained widespread recognition. His TV show, El Show de Cepillín, which started in 1977, was a hit, blending education, comedy, and celebrity interviews. It gained popularity not just in Mexico but also in Chile and Puerto Rico, making Cepillín one of Latin America's most renowned clowns. His show was broadcast in over 18 countries. Cepillín produced 27 albums of children's songs, with 11 of them achieving significant success, selling over 25 million copies worldwide. Some of his most cherished songs include "Cepillín's Fair," "Thomas," "The Little Chinese Forest," and "La Gallina Cocoua." Beyond music, Cepillín helped launch the careers of young artists like singer Yuri and actress Salma Hayek, giving them opportunities in his projects, including the movie "Miracle in the Circus" and providing Hayek with the chance to voice Jasmine in "Aladdin."
